| In 1951, my parents, my baby brother Reinhold and I moved from Bavaria to Gelsenkirchen-Horst in the Ruhr Valley. My dad was offered a job at one of the local coal mines. The times after the war were improving when we move into the appartment on Grabbestrasse 60. In the meantime, Renate grew up in Gelsenkirchen-Buer on Steinmetz Strasse 18. Her dad worked at a different coal mine. |

| 1955 I started school at the Hippolytus School, Devesenstrasse in Gelsenkirchen-Horst. Renates first day of school was inn1956 at the Wichern School, Bekerad Strasse in gelsenkirchen-Buer. |

| It was not until 1967 when I met Renate at a dance in Schloss Horst (Castle in Gelsenkirchen-Horst). at this time my friends and I tried to form a Rock 'n Roll Band. All we did is make a bunch of noise to impress the girls. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
