| I am interested in quantum physics, astronomy (bot not professionally). I run 3 projects on BOINC, i.e. the internet network computing grid, developed in the University of Berkeley. One project's goal is the Search for Extraterrestic Intelligence (SETI), by trying to pick up signals from the big Arecibo radiotelescope in Puerto Rico. Another is searching for gravity waves, which may be generated by pulsars. Last not least by giving some computing power to help design the new large Hadron Collider in CERN Geneva, where mankind tries to find out if we live in a 5 or more dimensional world, what gives particles their mass (the Higg's boson, does it exist?) and other potentially unexpected phenomena.
