Sitting on the Ferry (about to jump down and resume running like a wild woman).
Say good-bye to the sunshine, within a few hours it will be covered in clouds.
Unhappy little camper.  Actually, Etta was very good for most of the trip.  She's just having a "toddler moment" here because we wouldn't let her run off into the woods alone.
Hitting stones together at Agate Beach.  Etta loves to pick up rocks and other treasures, so she's in heaven here.
Oh boy, a golf ball!
That's better than any rock!

Daddy's limping because he hurt his knee.  Luckily Etta is not fond of running on the rocky beach, and is content to stay close by.
One of Daddy's favorite tricks is to cut the ends off giant sea kelp and then blow it like a trumpet.  Etta found this very amusing.  But when she tried it, putting it up to her mouth, she was put off by the salty taste.
We'd planned to stay the entire weekend, but the weather turned nasty on us on Saturday, so we came home early.  Daddy had also injured his knee, so our outdoor adventures became limited.

But Mommy made three trips to the local bakery for pastry, and we spent some quiet time in the newly remodeled village library, so although short, it was a good trip anyway.

We hope to have a cabin built this fall so that we can spend the night more comfortably when the weather turns bad.

Saying hello to a neighbor's horse and week-old foal.  Etta kept running up to them, wanting to hug them, which made both mother and baby horse nervous.  Daddy restrains an enthusiastic Etta to prevent her from being kicked or bitten.
