Here is a small story that Ed Ji was pround of:

In iDEN OMC, Motorola Inc, there is an Airgen Configuration Management GUI tool which consists of Smart Zone GUI and Broker of Airgen Configuration database. It is a huge, versatile, but old software. The team that developed the product had already left Motorola.

Nextel Inc. requested Motorola to add a new feature to this GUI tool. This software is a huge software, it has more than 300 thousand lines of code. It was developed in C++ OOP.

No one dared to take the challenge to do the enhancement for Nextel, or even dared to look at the code.
Who took this challenge? It was humble Ed Ji who took this challenge, read the product code, and implemented the new feature for Motorola Customer!

Why humble Ed Ji was able to do this? Because he is a Microsoft Certified Professional in Visual C++. He also knew Motif in school. Although that Airgen Configuration Management GUI tool was not written in Visual C++, but in Motif ( or more accurately in Teleuse ), Ed Ji knew GUI programming, C++ OO programming, and database programming, so he could do that.

How strong I am in C++ OOP? please visit Ed's Notes and Tough C++ Questions to find out!
