                        HELP FOR WEB BASED LOG APPLICATION
0. WELCOME!

1. Click "Browser All Records" menu to browser all log records 
   in database.  This is the most useful link that you can use. 
   It will present you a table with brief contents of all records. 
   To view FULL contents of a specific log record, click the ID 
   number under ID column of the table. While you are viewing a
   record, you can change a record, or click the file name that
   is attached to the record to view ( or download ) the full
   contents of the attached file.

2. To create a new log record, just click "Create A New Record" menu. 
   For Console or Black Box Log text field, the accumulated size 
   limit is 65,000 characters, you may need to ftp big logs file 
   to the server machine, to LogFiles subdirectory. You need to 
   give the log file a unique file name when ftp'ing, then type in 
   the file name in the text field of "Additional Log File Names". 
   To submit the log record, just click "Submit New Record" button. 
   If you are writing to the database for the first time, you 
   will be prompted to enter your core ID to identify yourself. 

   All log record change (including new record and change record)
   activity is stamped with your login name (your Core ID) and 
   time in Investigation Activity text field.

3. When you are viewing a full contents of a record, you can 
   click a link named "Please Click Here" to change the record. 
   If you want to view the log file ( or download the log file ) 
   just click on the the log file name in the talbe under the 
   column "additional_log_file_names".

4. There is another way to view a record, on the first web page, 
   just type in the log record ID that you are interested in, 
   then click on "Click to view it" button.

5. There is another way to change a record, on the first web page, 
   just type in the log record ID that you want to change, 
   then click on "Click to change it" button. 
   If you are writing to the database for the first time, 
   you will be prompted to enter your core ID to identify yourself. 

   All log record change (including new record and change record)
   activity is stamped with your login name (your Core ID) and 
   time in Investigation Activity text field.

6. You can log in as a generic user: hapcs or isbcs. You do not have
   to type in your Core ID.
