The Harriers secured their first win of the season
against Suwon on Sunday with a six goal victory.
Playing in abominable conditions the Harriers with so much class still
managed to look good for the most part. Guillaume on debut looked as
though he was playing on a different surface as he scored a first period
hat-trick in fine style. Marcus and David
also added to the scoring and the Harriers were up 5-0 after thirty
minutes.
The field seemed to get boggier in the second period and Suwon managed to
slow the Harriers momentum. The Trotters got on the scored board with a
controversial penalty. No such favour was rewarded when David
was robbed of a goal after a spectacular one
handed goal line save from a Suwon defender! Trent hit in the Harriers
6th, 6-1 with 30 to play.
Evan found his form from last season in the third period converting a
penalty after being brought down in the box and scoring a well placed shot
from a bad angle along the goal line. Suwon's
crafty Korean player
scored their second of the game with a well struck free kick out of Kevin's
reach. |
