The Seoul UK Expats turned in a superb display to fire a 6-1 victory in their SSFL showdown against the Han River Harriers. The Expats were well worthy of the three points against a Harriers side who had begun the game with a push for a top four finish not out of the question.

Having seen the Harriers snatch a late equalizer against Chongju United last weekend, the Seoul based club knew that victory was the only option if they are to taste top division football next season.

Ivorian striker Koffi Jackson, was the hero as his rugged individual display in the face of severe provocation from Kevin Cowell and Randal Smith was rewarded with goals and the knowledge that his side is once again back in the mix for a top playoff spot.

It was at first, an open affair, but after around 20 minutes the Han River defence was caught napping as Jackson put the Expats in front.

Soon after, the Harriers was forced to re-organise their midfield, they turned in an edgy display which was in stark contrast to their early season performances. But by start of the second half the Harriers were four goals down - all coming from the SSFL top scorer Jackson.

The defensive pairing of Tom Owenby and Jiggy did a fantastic job and kept a tight grip on the Harriers¡¯ 19 goal leading scorer Evan Hale. The Canadian - was however like a man possessed in the late stages, rattling cages to such an extent that he earned a 80th-minute indirect free kick inside the area for a lunge on the floor by the Expats¡¯ skipper Darren Bernardo. Left winger David Shin rolled the ball towards Hale, only for the marksman to strike the ball straight at a defender.

Finally, Hale pulled one back a few minutes from time with a long range header and the Harriers twice hit the post in a late flurry to leave the home fans among a crowd of four biting their fingernails as time ran down.

However, by then - with just minutes to go - the damage had already been done. The Harriers could not cope with the speed on the attack while Darren Bernardo was a steadying influence in the centre of the park.

The Harriers were unhappy with the side's performance which dealt a big blow to their chances of qualifying for the cup competition. The Harriers¡¯ Chairman David Shin quoted in a post game interview ¡®We have made progress this season and people were talking about us challenging for a top four finish if we won today. I do know we've progressed but I also know we still have a way to go. Today the best team won and we didn't have a hunger or desire. Myself and Evan Hale have tried to mould the team that will always fight and work hard for each other and scrap for each other and we didn't do that today.¡¯
