** I  pledge to pursue Christs vision for unity (John 17) by practicing the following, with the help of the Holy Spirit :

1.)    I will do all I can to use my abilities, talents, and spiritual gifts to serve as an active member of the Hannover International Church family.
2.)    I will get to know my fellow servants and find ways to serve them.
3.)    I will recognize and affirm the calling and gifts of fellow servants.
4.)    I will speak well of my brother and sisters in Christ, publicly and privately affirming them.
5.)    I will pray fervently for my brother and sisters in Christ.
6.)    I will listen intently so I can understand my Christian brothers and sisters perspectives.
7.)    I will expect that, under pressure, there will be misunderstandings, conflicts, and offenses.    I will deal with offenses by promptly going to the offender(s) in private and if necessary continue doing what Matthew 18:15-17.
8.)    I will forgive without hesitation, knowing that I too will probably need forgiveness.
9.)    I will refuse to condemn the possible motives of my Christian friends no matter how much I might disagree with their actions or decisions.  If they are deliberately sinning, I will do all I can to help them be restored to righteousness.
Covenant Statement for Unity
Ephesians 4:1-6 & 11-16
1
As a prisoner for the Lord, then,
              I urge you
to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
2                Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
3               Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
4                   There is one body and one Spirit--
just as you were called to
one hope when you were called--
5                        one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6                       one God and Father of all,
Who is over all and through all and in all
11                  It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists,
                          and some to be
pastors and teachers,
12                           for the equipping of the saints (Greek word for "equipping" means repairing and preparing)

for the work of the ministry

for the edifying of the body of Christ
13                                   until we all reach unity

in the faith and

in the knowledge of the Son of God

and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14                           Then we will no longer be infants,
                                     tossed
back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there

by every wind of teaching and

by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
15                          Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up

into Him Who is the Head, that is, Christ.
16                                   From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament,

grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
