1) Lilith is an amalgamation of the vampire legend of Lilith, the Marvel Comic character introduced in Giant Size Chillers # 12, and the comic book character, Vampirella, who was introduced in the series of the same name in 1969 by Warren Comics)
2) Adam Tristan gets his name from two of Vampirella's lovers- Tristan, her fiance on her home planet, and her Earth lover, Adam Van Helsing.
3) Kirk Langstrom II is the son of Kirk Langstrom, the Man Bat, a Batman villian who was introduced in Detective Comics # 400 in 1970.
4) The story of the destruction of all of the vampires that supposed occurred in 1983 originates from the storyline in the Marvel Comics universe where Dr. Strange (Dr. Stronge in this movie) cast a spell- the Montesi, which destroyed all the vampires throughout the world. Like in this film, the spell was not a complete success, considering vampires came back.
- Adam's two roommates are named Jesse and Brandon (the two characters from FilmBUFFS)
- The comic book store Comic Book Heaven (which originated in the script for FanBOYS) is the comic book store at the beginning and the end of the movie.
