One Dimensional Kinematics

Before we start with kinematics, we introduce MKS units. In one dimensional kinematics, we will learn the terms displacement, velocity and acceleration.

Our portfolio problem for this unit concerns the stopping distance required for a yellow light.

In this section, we introduce an new type of question. It comes from a book named Peer Instruction. The file can be found here. This is a 253 page file, so I don't recommend printing the whole thing. Simply make note of the questions we do in class, and refer back to them as you study.

The answers to the problems labeled "One Dimensional Kinematics Problems" can be found here.
