My parents were re-enactors (Sealed Knot) before I was born and it was only when I met my boyfriend Andy (a member of Conquest re-enactment society) that I started getting into re-enactment to a greater level than admiring armour and weapons (as well as mead!) ^,~
Andy took me to the Battle of Hastings re-enactment 13th-15th October 2006 - the largest battle since the actual one in 1066... You might have heard about it on the news.
Anyway, Andy fought and I helped supply the troops with water as I don't have any proper weapons training as yet. We'll see how things go with subsequent events!
