today, work was crap. it wasn't busy all day until about 2:30 (keep in mind we close at 3.) people come in one after the other, and we're trying to get cleaned up so we can get the frig outta there. and then Lorna discovers that the clocks in the deli are 5 minutes fast. oh, goodie. now we get to stay open for another 5 minutes. and three more people come in. after we cleaned everything... and this one guy, earlier in the day... i wanted to kill him. he's like "do you have assorted meats?". i was thinking, oh my god. he is NOT asking me this. so i suggest maybe he means an assorted sandwich.. and he says no, well my friend told me you had assorted meats and blah blah blah.. i wanted to smack myself. this guy was messed. in the head. real bad. kinda like Ozzy but not with the stuttering and tremors... but he mumbled just the same. and this other lady wanted like two slices of everything. and another guy wanted a pound and a half of everything.. it wasn't a very good day.
to make things worse, i was locked out of my house when i got home. i walked over to the corner store on dunn and drummond to use the pay phone, only to find out the power was still out over there. so i walked all the way back home.. and i devised a plan. someone left the bathroom windoe open. so i climbed on a chair, stood on the barbecue (which was very not sturdy) and hauled myself in, after de-tatching the metal thingies that were in my way. lemme tell you, it was a pain. don't ever try and break in my house, it's not worth the effort.
friday i hung out with Tina. we went to the mall and then the hill... along the way she taught me quite a bit of french swear words, so if i just start rambling off in french... don't repeat any of it. anyhoo, she slept over and we watched finding nemo. after that we fell asleep... a pretty sad night. but fun, nonetheless. which leads me to saturday.
her mom called me and asked tina to come home and clean, so i went with her. and cleaned. i got home around 6:00, and my house was a mess but i had just finished cleaning hers. so i was like enh, and i took a bath for like an hour.. i went to bed at like 9:30 and i read til 10:30. but i couldn't sleep til like 12, cuz i wasn't tired.
the crappy/sad thing is, my mom was away all weekend until like 5:00 today. and i could have done anything i wanted.. and i didn't. it sucked ass. but at least now i know how to swear in french.
