Omeath - in the beautiful Carlingford Peninsula, is a picturesque "undiscovered" village, idyllically situated between the Cooley Mountains and the shores of Carlingford Lough.� Across the narrow strait of water, "the Mountain of Mourne sweep down to the sea". Nearby is the medieval town of Carlingford with its wealth of ancient ruins and modern gourmet restaurants.
Omeath is an easily accessible location, being just 104 kms (65 miles) from Dublin and 72 kms (45  miles)  from Belfast.
There are lots of activities locally including, sailing, hill walking, fishing, golf, horse riding, pony trekking and for the more adventurous, there is the Carlingford Adventure Centre!� Also within a radius of a few miles there are lovely beaches and historic sites including the famous Proleek Dolmen.
