The Little Mermaid is a story about a teenage mermaid named Ariel who is intrigued by all things to do with the human world. Her father, King Triton, does not approve of anything to do with humans. When Ariel saves a human prince (Eric) from drowning, she immediately falls in love with him. King Triton finds out and ruins all of Ariel's human things. Ariel is still determined to see Prince Eric, so she turns to her only hope: the evil seawitch, Ursula. Ursula gives Ariel human legs, in exchange for Ariel's voice. With the help of her friends Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle, Ariel must get a kiss of true love by Prince Eric within three days, and if she fails then she will go back to being a mermaid, and belong to Ursula. Forever.

Ariel

Ariel is a headstrong, teenage mermaid who dreams only of the human world, and having legs. While underwater, she loves hanging out with her best friends, Flounder and Sebatian. Occasionally, she visits the surface (against her father's wishes) to see her seagull friend, Scuttle. |

Flounder is the cutest little fish in the sea! His best friend is Ariel, but he hates when she calls him a guppy, even though he's scared of everything. Flounder is also Sebatian's "ride", meaning Sebatian's always hanging off Flounder's tail. |

Sebatian is a crab, with a heart of music and a passion for the king. He can be known as King Triton's right side man (crab?), but he was taken by surprise when he was told to look after Ariel, the kings daughter. I think he enjoys it though! |

King Triton is king of Atlantica, and the father of seven lovely mermaids, including Ariel. He believes Ariel has the best singing voice out of all of his daughters. He owns and controls the powerful "trident". King Triton's right hand crab is Sebatian. |

Ursula

Ursula is the evil seawitch. She used to live in the castle, but since she was banished she's held a grudge and wanted revenge against King Triton. She's very bitter. Her sidekicks and "Babies" are Flotsam and Jetsam, a couple of eels. |

Prince Eric is a human prince who spends a lot of his time looking for the perfect wife. Everyone is waiting for him to choose someone, but he has difficulty. He believes his maiden is out there somewhere. His buddies are Grimsby and his dog, Max. |

Flotsam and Jetsam

Flotsam and Jetsam: the eel duo, and also the pets of the evil seawitch, Ursula. They are never seen without one another, and have an extraordinary power of putting their eyes together and creating an image of what they're looking at through Ursula's "magic ball." |

Scuttle is a very strange seagull. He prides himself in thinking he knows everything about the human world, and sharing his knowledge with his mermaid and fish friends, Ariel and Flounder. However, he makes up funny names for human things such as dinglehopper and snarfblatt. |

Max
 |
Max is a friendly, shaggy dog; very hairy. His master is Prince Eric, and they love playing together. Max has a special talent of telling a good person from a bad one. He loves Ariel, but disliked Ursula, unknowingly disguised as Vanessa. |

Louie is the french chef of Prince Eric. His specialty dish is stuffed crab, and he has great fun while cooking by singing french songs. Louie and Sebatian the crab have some "issues", regarding Sebatian not being on the plate of one of his meals. |

Grimsby takes care of Prince Eric, making sure he's all right, getting him gifts, and helping him to find a suitable wife. Grimbsy is almost always puffing a pipe. He seems to get along well with Carlotta. |

Carlotta is the maid for Prince Eric. She is the lead of all the other maids working there. She's a very friendly person, and she enjoys seeing Prince Eric smile. However, she does not like Louie's "fooling around" in the kitchen. |

Adella is one sister of six others, and the daughter of King Triton. She likes dressing in brown and orange, and has black hair tied up. |

Attina is one of seven sisters, no brothers. Her father is King Triton. Attina dresses in red and orange colouring. She has gorgeous brown hair curled up with an orange hairpiece. |
