We plan to make the structure out of 3 inch PVC pipe.
We learned many things making this model that will help us design and make it at full size.
Height being the first lesson learned. Living in New York City we have to make it inside. Don's loft apartment has 12 foot ceilings. Guess what, it will be a little less than 12 feet high.
Using PVC we decided we also want to allow participants to write on the PVC like a white canvas. We will provide retractable pens so that you can write your fear on the structure.
Sound also travels very well through PVC. We will add 2 "stations" for viewing and listening to the structure. Participants will also be able to communicate through the pipe to one another at different locations.
