| Elliott is rolling around quite deliberately these days, and he likes to balance like this on his side, often reaching for something. We can't leave him on the floor for long anymore without him rolling toward something we need to babyproof! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Elliott is just about to grow out of his infant seat, so we'll have to move to the Britax Roundabout soon. He's been doing so well in the car seat lately and sometimes falls asleep, so we'll miss being able to bring him inside without waking him up, but we won't miss carrying that seat around! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Four of us from the Bradley class had a nice time playing together. Here are Sawyer (petting Elliott's head), Elliott, Julia (trying to pet Henry's head) and Henry with his new love, the pacifier. Elliott also started showing interest in a pacifier this month after completely rejecting it a few months ago. One night it helped him stay asleep after I had nursed him. Other times he has pulled it out by its little ring handle and played with it, sometimes putting the right part back in his mouth, sometimes chomping on the other plastic parts. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We bought a high chair (through Craigslist) and have started putting Elliott in it while we eat. Soon we'll feed him some solid food in it! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Elliott had a great time visiting with Grandma B! She watched him a lot while I did errands and had appointments. They went on lots of walks together, and he really seemed to know her. One day when I came home, he tried was putting his mouth all over my face. I thought it was just a sucking thing until Barb said he was trying to kiss me. She was right! And later he did it to her, too. It really seemed like a loving gesture. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Elliott goes to the Mall... We needed to get out of the house on Saturday, so we drove into the District and gave Elliott his first look at sculpture at the Hirshorn museum and sculpture garden and at aviation at the Air & Space Museum. Then we capped off our family day with a visit to Trader Joe's. |
