Elliott's Trip to New Jersey and Vermont
On our way up (and back down) the coast, we visited with Aunt Jenni and cousins Robin, Gillian and Meghan. Meg actually held Elliott quite a lot, and he enjoyed it, but we seem to not have any photos of that. She is taller than Jess now, and it's wild to see how big Elliott looks in her arms and know that he must look even bigger in his mama's arms!
Brrr!!!

Elliott got his first taste of autumn up in Wolcott, Vermont (30 minutes NE of the ski town of Stowe). We all enjoyed bundling up and escaping the humid soup that was D.C. when we left (before Hurricane Ernesto).
Cousin Lucy here is 11 weeks old. Elliott is five months, with one tooth visible (lower left and its neighbor seemingly on the way).
Elliott checks out his cousin and considers whether or not to try to grab her eyeball or scar her face with his dagger fingernails. Fortunately, he didn't succeed at either before he was intercepted. You'd never guess how grabby he is from this sweet picture of him with Aunt Charlotte and his friend, the mouse.
At left, Elliott assumes his famed waterskiing position on cousin Lucy's bouncy seat.

Below, we pause for one final photo shoot outside of our hotel in Stowe. Both babies chose a frump face for this one.
After a rainy drive from New Jersey, Elliott is happy to be on his bed and ready for a welcome home bath with Daddy.
