Elliott in March 2007
It's hard to believe Elliott will turn one year old this month! He's trying to enjoy his youth while it lasts.
Yes, he does love the celery. And, apparently, wood.
Henry says: "I wonder what it would be like to be so bald. This kid is only a day younger than I am but he's still just got peach fuzz. And I do mean peach!"
Elliott is standing with minimal holding support and he pulls up well even on things that are not terribly stable. He also sits back down at will but doesn't really squat.

He reaches across this plastic table to play with all of its features but, most often, he likes to open and close the blue shape sorter door. He doesn't put the shapes in the slots - just drops them (or other objects) into the compartment when the door is open. After a few times closing the door on his hand, he seems now to understand how to avoid that pain.
Elliott had a great time in restaurants during Barb and Roland's visit. At Luna Cafe, he grabbed a radish off my salad plate and ate it for about five minutes.
In Frederick, MD, we braved the cold to hit La Paz, where Elliott tried his first taste of lemon (from a water glass) and of tomato (from salad). He also enjoyed fajita chicken, but I think it was the citric acid that gave him a tiny bit of trouble later.
Cousin Rebecca's daughter Larissa couldn't get enough of Elliott. Elliott tends to get a bigger kick out of older kids like Sophia (and squealed in delight when he first saw her), but by the end of the visit he decided Larissa's hair was worth a pet.
