Dr.Mohamed Nasr ( IEEE  S’81-M’85-SM’91) received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph D. degrees in Electronics and Communications Engineering, in 1975,1979,and 1985 respectively.During 1985/1986 he was a postdoctoral Fellow at Stevens Inst. of Tech. (USA).From 1986 to 2001 he was an Assistant  and Associate Professor with the Dept.of Electronics.Currently ,he is the head of the Electronics and Communications Eng Dept., Tanta University, Tanta,Egypt. His research interests include  digital communications,speech signal processing and computer networks. He has published extensively in these areas over than 30 papers.Dr.Nasr is the corecipient of the 1984 Prize Paper Award  in Communications of the IEEE Conference.

Our laboratory covers the two main fields of our departement: Electronics and communications.

Divided through the four educational years as follow.

In the first year our Labs covers the basics of electronics including diodes,transitors and simple filters circuits. so the student should be familiar with diodes and its appilications for example rectification and limiting. Also the student should be familiar with transistors specially BJT transistor for example simple amplifier circuits.

In the second year after the student have a good knowledge in electronics then our labs covers the most important applications in electronic circuits. So the student starts to work with MOSFET transistors and also  works with operational amplifiers and performs many advanced experiments generally in the electronic circuits.

In the third year 1st term our labs covers the world of digital ICs including some advanced applications on registers and counters.

In the third year 2nd term our labs introduce the student to the second main part of our departement - Communications- specially analog communications so the student learns types of modulation such  as AM and FM and also makes a small project in AM or FM techniques.In addition to this the student takes some experiment on ceramic filters and crystal oscillator.

In the fourth year 1st tearm our labs covers digital communication techniques such as PCM and Differential PCM
