Responsibilities include preparation, presentation, and execution of lessons, projects, and problem solving activities relating to Technology and its affects  on history and our culture.  Also responsible for maintaining accurate student records and statistics and providing additional information when required.  Additional duties include supervising extra curricular student activities, providing students additional instruction after school hours, and working closely with the administration in handling any       behavioral inquires.  Directly responsible for the operation and maintenance of a wood, plastics, metal, and computer technology laboratory facility used by students.  Directly responsible for developing technology plans, Perkins funding/grants, and applications of 509 vocational funding.  Actively work with the district learning division in curriculum, publicity, funding,
and program planning.

Audio-Visual Director
Responsibilities include coordinating, operating, and maintaining various  audio-visual equipment for school personnel and students.  Duties also include purchasing all audio-visual equipment and supplies.  Also responsible for coordinating repair services with district coordinator and outside vendors.  Work closely with the administration in developing training and strategic plans within the school.

NetDay 96 Coordinator
Responsible for the coordination and planning of an all volunteer effort to install internet wiring at Hanby Middle School on NetDay 96. Responsibilities included attending planning sessions coordinated by the Delaware Center for Educational Technology (DCET) and providing follow-up training for volunteers dealing with methods, procedures, techniques, and safety.  Also responsible for arranging donations from local businesses to provide the necessary supplies and meals needed on NetDay.  Served as operations director during the wiring and installation of hubs, patch panels, and cabling.  Arranged for all    connections and activation of systems.  Acted as a liaison between the district office, the organizer, and other school administrators. Provided press releases to the community and local news groups as well as the school faculty.  Coordinated all necessary follow-up network support and communications.

Consolidated Grant Educational Planning Committee
Served as a member of the Hanby Consolidated Grant  planning committee to evaluate educational technology and make equipment recommendations based on information obtained from faculty members.  Assisted school administrators in writing curriculum applications and goals.  Responsible for pricing on computers, projection systems, software, peripherals, and      networking capabilities and providing information to school administrators.

Chairman, Software Evaluation Team
Served as a member of the district technology planning committee to assisted with the writing of a five year educational technology plan.  Provided input as required based on specific curriculum areas and applications.  Also responsible for chairing a district-wide software evaluation team to develop specific recommendations on software titles, applications, grade levels, and  appropriate uses.  Developed and distributed a software evaluation form and criteria recommendation to school faculty.  Reviewed and worked with the district acceptable use agreement that is presently in use.

9/94 to 6/97  Brandywine School District Middle School
Technology Planning Team
Served as a member of the district middle school technology planning committee that consisted of administrators, faculty, and parents from the three district middle schools.  Assisted with developing the mission statement and carrying out the goals of the committee.  Developed, distributed, and evaluated a faculty survey based on the understanding and use of educational technology in the classroom.  Participated in site visitations of other schools throughout the area and made reports/       recommendations to the committee.  Assisted with the preparation of final recommendation of the committee and aided in its presentation to the superintendent’s office.

Responsibilities included coordinating personnel and scheduling for all production, maintenance/repairs and overtime.  Directly responsible for interviewing and hiring, salary actions, employee performance evaluations, equipment and supply purchasing, research and development, pricing guidelines and invoicing.  Also responsible for deadline performance and quality control.  Assisted sales staff with client communications and customer support.  Worked closely with corporate management in strategic business planning.

Designed and outfitted all photo and graphic arts services facilities at Lyons’ new location.  Responsible for purchasing all photographic, lighting, processing , and darkroom equipment.  Directly responsible in working with architects and contractors in specifying layout and physical requirements (e.g., plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and space planning).  Directly responsible for maintaining production during a six week relocation and installation period.

Assisted in the coordination, planning, and execution of a four day company wide organizational effectiveness training program for 80+ employees.  Responsible for site surveys, negotiations, and arrangements.  Assisted with the logistics and supervision of catering, A/V staging crews, and site personnel at the meeting location during the event.  Assisted with the preparation of all printed training materials, speaker support slides, multi-image theme modules, and meeting essentials.  Directly responsible      for the instruction and direction of attendees during team breakout sessions.
