The Story Plot Of
Sakura Taisen![]()
Sakura Taisen 1 (There is no title for ST1)
It is the 1920's. Fujieda Ayame is scouting around, looking for people to join the Imperial Flower Attack Corps (Teikoku Kagekidan - Hanagumi). Shanghai, China, she finds Ri Kouran, a native Chinese. She then sends her to Osaka to study. Then she meets Okinawa-born Kirishima Kanna, who joins. After that, she asks the psychic Iris Chateaubriand from France to join the team. In Manhattan, New York, she sees another girl, Maria Tachibana, a Russian-Japanese who is about to become a hired assassin. She has been in a war and is a master markswoman. Ayame asks her to join too. Then, Lieutenant-General Yoneda Ikki invites his old friend's daughter, Shinguuji Sakura (the heroine) from Miyagi-ken, Sendai to join the team as well. They have to fight off monsters and evil.
Enter Oogami Ichirou, a fresh graduate from the Academy. He is being sent to lead the Hanagumi as a commander. Despite his doubts at first, they are able to cooperate well and conquer the enemy. At the end, Oogami also gets his 'dream-girl'...
Sakura Taisen 2 ~Kimi, shinitamou koto nakare~
If I'm not wrong, it should be around 1924. Two more members, Orihime Soletta and Leni Milchstrasse joins. Orihime and Leni were from the Hoshigumi, an elite group of younger people. The Hoshigumi had been disbanded already. Then, a new enemy appears.
Meanwhile, Oogami discovers Leni's secret. Wanna know what it is? Go visit Hissatsu Ishingun. You'll find out, from the walkthroughs. It's at my links page. And, Orihime doesn't make things easier for him by hating all Japanese men. However, Oogami has the ending to make up for it. You can find the endings at Hissatsu too, but beware. MAJOR SPOILERS!
Oogami gets the same ending in every game: A dream date. With one of the girls in the Hanagumi, of course. Well, let's just wish him good luck.
Sakura Taisen 3 (PARI wa moeteiru ka?)
Alas, I have no idea what's this about. Only the 'Only Sakura Taisen 3 English Website' can tell you. As usual, find it in my links page. The title is up there, and it means, "Is Paris burning?" For all of you die-hard ST fans out there, it will be released in Spring 2001. Two songs were released in April 2000, 'Yume Mite Iyou' (hence the name of this website) and 'GekiTei'. I was told that 'GekiTei' is the same as 'Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan!' only with a few differences. But 'Yume Mite Iyou' is different. I might have translated Yume Mite Iyou wrongly, but all of you Japanese literates out there, please tell me whether I'm right or wrong! I translated it as Looking Back At Dreams. Is that correct? My Japanese is not so good. That's why I have this result often. Anyway, thanks for reading this!
