| Adoption Proceedures: Please Read First |
There has been a seemingly great demand for my hamsters internationally almost overnight. I am in no means complaining, but it does present some problems. First off, I am not a commercial breeder, so I do not have babies available in all colors all the time. If you would take the time to read my website, you will find that I am breeding for my own purposes rather than for commercial reasons. I am trying to get one baby of each color for myself, so chances are good that I will not have the color you want ready when you demand it. I have no problem adopting the babies I will not be using out to loving families. I have no use for them! However, I believe myself to be responsible for all of my offspring and all offspring produced from them. I prefer to sell my babies in same sex pairs unless I know the new owner will be using them to breed. Some hamsters I will not release as breeders. I do have a contract and the new owner will not be allowed to breed from that animal. If you want to adopt one of my babies, it will take time and work on your part. I have done mine to produce the best pet possible for your family. Many people have asked me to ship their new family member to them. Unfortunately, there are many factors that may present itself in this situation. Within the US the shipping costs run about $150 to $400 depending on the airline. Cost and timing are the main conserns within this situation. When leaving the US to ship international, more problems arise. BEFORE emailing me to ship you a hamster, please contact your local airlines and see if it is allowed and what it will cost to do so. Dont forget to check on the quarantine laws also. I will ship my babies to you, but you must be serious or you will not be accepted. Take into consideration that when you want to ship a hamster you must include the following: the hamster itself, the cage, the bedding, the food, the airline ticket, the quarantine stay, and any other expense that may arise. As I said before, it is not cheap, but it may be worth it to you. **Note: I will NOT answer one sentence emails asking for "one hampster." I care about each and every hamster I own and raise. I will never sell a hamster for snake food or cat food or anything of the like. If I sell a hamster as a breeder, there will be limitations, and I DO check back to ensure that they have been fufilled. All my babies come with a lifetime of support from me and all the help I can offer. If for anyreason you are unable to keep your pet, I will take them back with all their supplies as payment and attempt to rehome them. I love to get emails updating me on the babies I have adopted out. I will also answer any questions you may have in reguards to their general health or whatever your questions may be. So please, feel free to email be, but also, do your homework. It will save us both a lot of time and stress! **Note: I am not responsible for bites or any injury caused by my hamsters once out of my posession. Hamsters are living being and should be played with on a regular basis to keep human fear levels down. Dwarves are smaller than the syrians and tend to bite more if not well socialized. I play with my hamsters from the day they get fur, before their eyes open. If you do not play with your hamsters, they will not stay tame. If a huge hand hundreds of times larger than you reached in and grabbed you, wouldn't you bite too? Be nice to them and they will be nice to you. As any breeder, I prefer adoptees to come to my house to pick them up. If you live in Arkansas or the surrounding states, I can meet you part way for a small fee. The fee will be based on current gas prices and the distance/time needed to travel. Please be on time as delays may cause extra charges to incur. Thank you so much for choosing a HamsterDance baby to add to your family! I look forward to helping you!
