The Cleric serves as the group's primary healer, diviner, and defensive specialist.

She can hold her own in a fight, but generally focuses on healing party members.

The cleric's spell selection can greatly affect her role she can select from a range of healing spells, damage spells, and defensive or offensive buffs.

Clerics are masters of divine magic, which makes them especially good at healing and destroying undead creatures.  An experienced cleric can even bring allies back from the dead.  Clerics are also adept in the use of simple weapons and armor, since armor doesnt interfere with divine spells the way it does with arcane magic.

The handiwork of the gods is everywhere: in places of natural beauty, in mighty crusades, in soaring temples, and in the hearts of worshipers.  The gods, however, mostly work through their intermediaries: the clerics.  A cleric uses the power of her god to make the god'swill manifest, which means clerics can be relied on to heal, protect, and avenge.

Wisdom determines how powerful a spell a cleric can cast, how many bonus spell points she receives, and how hard those spells are to resist.

A high Charisma score improves his ability to turn undead.

The cleric's class skills include Concentration, Diplomacy, and Heal. With few skill points available - the cleric's real power lies in her spells - these three skills are probably all you need.

Concentration lets the cleric cast spells, including healing spells, even when being attacked.

The Heal skill allows the cleric to revive a foe that's been rendered unconscious and bleeding, and to recover additional hit points when resting.

Diplomacy can be useful in combat, since it lets the cleric convince foes to seek out other targets, and when dealing with NPCs.

A cleric with a high Intelligence score may also consider skills such as Spot and Listen, which combine well with the cleric's high Wisdom score.

As a cleric, common feat choices related to your class abilities include Mental Toughness, Combat Casting, Extra Turning, and Improved Turning.

As a cleric, you are also a capable warrior, and you may consider feats such as Power Attacks, Combat Expertise, Dodge, Shield Mastery, or even Exotic Weapon Proficiency.

Metamagic feats like Empower Spell or Extend Spell can be used to offer short-term boosts in spell power, whether used for offensive spells or healing.

Finally, several skill-boosting feats give you another avenue to improve your skill bonuses; Self-Sufficient is good since it improves your ability to heal yourself and your companions.

Clerics begin play with Heavy Armor Proficiency, Heroic Durability, Light Armor Proficiency, Magic Training, Medium Armor Proficiency, Shield Proficiency: General, Simple Weapon Proficiency, Sneak and Turn Undead.
Dwarf clerics use an array of spells such as divine favor and divine power to improve their melee attacks before wading into battle with a Warhammer or greataxe.  Their low Charisma scores mean that they have a hard time turning undead, however.
