| This is a small falls that is dry for most of the year until the winter snows melt away and bring it back to its beautiful self. Its a ribbon falls that cascades down the escarpment like steps. getting to this waterfall requires a walk of about 10 minutes through various landscape from a vast meadow to forested areas to marsh land. Once it falls over the edge it end up in a small wooded ravein and continues until it reaches sulpher Creek. From the parking area you walk up past an old house down through the meadow, follw the path along the left side along some trees this will eventually turn into a well used pathway and this will eventually connect to another trail tun left onto this path way you will soon pass a marshy area and a stream( Heritage falls Stream) then walk up a slope the path will turn to the right head straight then to the right again around this point is the tiny falls. Directions Follow King Street West to the 403 drive onto the 403 westbound toward brantford. head up the escarpment. At the top take the exit for Mohawk rd west into Ancatster. Follow Mohark to Wilson St. At wilson St turn left drive about 1/2 a km to Sulpher Springs Rd. follow sulpher springs rd for a 2.5 km watch for the sign for the Hermitage keep going just past this point Sulpher Springs rd Turns to the right keep going stright and you will come to a small drive way of too the right it says no parking but noone will bother you. from here follow directions above. |
