Game 1

Kelly Copland began the Pontiac season pitching a 2 hitter with 2 strikeouts to lead the team to a 10 to 0 win against the St. Catharines Intermediates.  Pam Wainwright and Riekie Dutcher led the Pontiacs at the plate going 2 for 3 and scoring 5 runs combined.

Game 2

Dawn Vanderhorst pitched a three hitter with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk to lead the Hamilton Pontiacs to an 18 to 1 win against the Clarkson Scarlett’s.  Riekie Dutcher, Catherine Lawrence, Dawn Vanderhorst and Johanna Malisani had perfect nights at the plate going 4 for 4 and scoring 9 runs.

Game 6

Carol Mundy pitched 3 innings of no hit, 3 strikeout ball with Bekki Longboat pitching 2 innings of no hit ball to lead the Pontiacs to a 14 to 0 win over the Niagara Falls Juniors.  Kristy Freshwater led at the plate going 2 for 2 with a double and a triple and 4 rbi’s.

Game 7

Kelly Copland pitched a three-hitter to lead the Hamilton Pontiacs to an 11 to 0 win over the Milton Mystics.  Kristy Freshwater and Dawn Vanderhorst lead at the plate each going 3 for 4 with Kristy scoring 3 times.

Game 8

The Hamilton Hurricane Juniors defeated handed the Hamilton Pontiacs their first league loss of the season by a score of 5 to 3.  The Pontiacs were outhit 10 to 7 with Christine Bassett leading the Pontiacs with 2 of the hits.  Bekki Longboat took the loss on the mound.

Game 9

Kelly Copland pitched a three hitter as the Hamilton Pontiacs defeated the Grimsby Intermediates 11 to 0.  Riekie Dutcher, Dawn Vanderhorst and Bekki Longboat lead at the plate going 3 for 4 and scoring a total of 5 runs.

Game 10

Carol Blakely-Mundy pitched a 4 hit shutout to lead the Pontiacs to a 7 to 0 win over the Clarkson Scarletts.  Dianne Trask went 2 for 2 at the plate with 2 rbi’s and Johanna Malisani also had 2 hits in 4 plate appearances and scored once.

Game 11

Kelly Copland and Dawn Vanderhorst shared the pitching responsibilities giving up 3 hits as the Pontiacs defeated Grimsby 7 to 2.  Kristy Freshwater led at the plate going 2 for 3, scoring once with 1 rbi.  Liz Verbeem also scored twice, with 1 walk and 2 hits.

Game 12

Carol Blakely-Mundy and Bekki Longboat combined pitching efforts for a 15 to 2 win over the Milton Mystics.  Riekie Dutcher led at the plate going 5 for 5 and scoring 4 runs with 4 rbi’s.  Johanna Malisani also had a good day at bat going 3 for 5 with a triple, scoring twice with 2 rbi’s.

Game 13

Dawn Vanderhorst pitched the win and Riekie Dutcher led at the plate going 3 for 3 and scoring once as the Pontiacs defeated the Fisherville Fossils 8 to 2.  The Pontiacs broke the scoreless game open in the 5th inning by scoring 8 times on 6 hits and 1 walk.

Game 14

Kelly Copland pitched the win and Debbie Carter was perfect at the plate with 3 walks and 1 hit, scoring twice as the Pontiacs defeated the Hamilton Hurricanes 16 to 5.  Christine Bassett led the hit parade going 4 for 5 and scoring twice with Riekie Dutcher close behind going 3 for 3 with a home run.

Kelly Copland pitched a 5 hitter leading the Pontiacs to a 10 to 1 win over the Port Colborne Comettes.  Bekki Longboat, Riekie Dutcher and Christine Bassett all went 3 for 4 at the plate and accounted for 6 of the runs.

Bekki Longboat pitched a 7 hitter taking the loss in a 3 to 0 loss to the Six Nations Storm.  The Pontiacs weren’t able to string hits together during the game as they out-hit the Storm by reaching 8 hits but could not push a run across.

Rain out from original scheduled and moved to August.  Kelly Copland and Carol Blakely Mundy combined for the win giving up 1 hit in the game.  The Pontiacs were led at the plate by Christine Bassett, Riekie Dutcher, Catherine Lawrence, Kathy Sitak and Dawn Vanderhorst who were all hitting 1.000.
