Meadow 2
The second (and largest) meadow area used to be playing fields. The ground does not drain well, so the vegetation is abundant.

All sorts of interesting plants thrive here, including Vetches, Clovers, Speedwell, Willowherbs, Cuckoo Flower, Lady's Mantle and Orchids.

The shady southern margin hides Greater Stitchwort and Helleborines. Rhododendrons have survived from previous garden cultivation.
