Prologue


(Crowd roars as the Hamtaro ending theme song plays and a disco ball hovers down from the stage and out pops Hamtaro and T.W)

Both land safely on the stage.

T.W: Hamha Everyone. T.W here along with Hamtaro to welcome you to our very first Miracle Romance special!

Hamtaro: This is one of our most influential adventures yet.

T.W: I agree we will all be in for a treat today.

Oxnard Backstage: Hamtaro I have lost my seed again!

T.W and Hamtaro: Here we go again.

(Audience Laughs)

T.W: Hamtaro you had better go help him while I tell everyone about today's show.

Hamtaro: All right. Coming Oxy!

T.W: Today our story centers on Boss and Bijou.

(Screen shows picture of them)

  T.W: As we, all know by now or those who are new to us here is the lowdown.  Boss has a super crush and/or infatuation for Bijou and wants nothing more to be the oyster of her world.  Unfortunately as hard as he tries Bijou is the only girl that gets him tongue-tied not knowing what to say. 

Bijou seems to be oblivious to his many advances while at the same time finding true love in Hamtaro but there to shy to admit it to each other afraid that Boss would erupt and I cannot say I blame them.

Having lost a love myself, I know all too well, how Boss feels he has like both a father and brother to me but that is another special.

I feel Hamtaro and Bijou are a perfect match for each other but do not tell them I said that especially Boss I'm not afraid of him I just don't want to hurt his feelings.

Anyway, our friends and I are swept away in our greatest journey ever and I should know I used to be an adventurer. Therefore, without further ado let our special begin!

(Oxnard and Hamtaro head from backstage)

Oxnard: I found my seed!

T.W: Just in time, Oxnard our special's starting Come on!

(T.W and Oxnard head out)

Hamtaro: Hey, wait for me! Enjoy the show everyone!

(Crowd Applauds)

Now we fade to black and our story begins.

It was a spring adventure no one would ever forget for a long time to come. Bijou was reading an old letter from and old friend in France.

Bijou: Dear Bijou though you are leaving soon I could not bring myself to say goodbye face to face I wrote you this letter. I hope you understand our friendship means everything to me I am just not good with good-byes. (Tears on that line)

I never noticed that before

I hope you hold no grudge against me. I will be moving to but not to another country but to a neighborhood in a small village along the river seine. I do not how to reach you but I will find out somehow. I will write soon and I hope that you make new friends wherever you go I wish you well.

Bijou: Oh Henrietta I miss you so much. I wish you knew where I live now and were you lived so we could write to each other again.    

Bijou spent awhile in her carrier reading Henrietta's old letters feeling quite low. In fact, she stayed in her carrier for the next 3 days. Everyone was worried about her especially Boss and Hamtaro so they go to her home.

By now, Bijou was asleep with tear marks from eyes down to her feet.

Hamtaro: Bijou! Bijou! Are you home?

Boss taps against the window

Boss: Bijou its Boss is you there.

Bijou hears her friends outside and slowly wakes up

Bijou: Um yawns. Is someone there?

She slowly leaves her cage and opens the window to let her friends in.

Hamtaro: Are you okay Bijou? We have not seen you in 3 days.

Bijou: It has been that long. I guess I did not realize. I am going through some old letters

Before she says anything, more they notice the tear marks on her front on her body.

Boss: You have been crying there is something wrong I know there is. You respect yourself and others too much to let yourself go.

Bijou: Boss what are you saying?

The air was thick with anxiety and the room was clouded with passion.

Boss: I am saying that I am your friend and I want to help you with whatever you are going through. I do not like you crying.

Bijou: Thank you Boss that means a lot to me.

At that precise moment, Bijou and Boss run to each other and hug tightly forgetting Hamtaro was even in the same room.

Bijou: Hamtaro when did you get here?

Hamtaro: I have been here all along.

Bijou: Well I am glad both of you came there is something I want to tell you.

Back when I still lived in France, I had a friend named Henrietta. She and I were best friends and we spent a lot of time together. We lived far apart from each other so when we did not see other we wrote letters to each other. When Maria and I left we lost contact.

Bijou then showed her friends the letter

This was the last letter I got from her before we left. She had moved to a small village part of France along the river seine. I am glad you are all my friends but sometimes I wonder where she is and how she is doing.

Boss: I wish there was something I could do.

Bijou: its okay I will be fine. I am sorry I worried you I just needed some personal time.

Hamtaro: That is okay were just glad you are safe and well right Boss?

Boss: Right we just want you to be happy, to be your old self again.

Hamtaro: Will you come to the clubhouse tomorrow?

Bijou: I do not know.

A death of silence hit the room either one not sure of what to say.

Hamtaro: Think about it come on Boss let us go.

As Hamtaro turned to leave Boss just stood there sticking to his guns and to the floor.

Boss: I will stay here for a while.

Hamtaro: I think Bijou needs some more time alone.

Bijou: Nobody has to go.

They turn around listening ears on.

Bijou: I would love it if you would stay for dinner. Maria is visiting her dad for a few days. It would be nice if you boys would join me.

Boss: Sure, I would love to stay.

Hamtaro: Me too that is sounds like a good idea.

Therefore, the three friends ate, drank, and talked about good times they would have shared. All except for Boss, He wished he could get Bijou and Henrietta back together.

The next day everyone except for Boss was at the clubhouse and everyone wondered where he was.

Hamtaro: I wonder where Boss is.

T.W: He is probably out gathering food. On the other hand, maybe he slept in today.

Bijou: It is not like Boss to leave without telling us. I hope he is ok.

Meanwhile unbeknownst to everyone Boss was heading for France. He spent all night packing for the trip, his mission, to find Henrietta and bring her to Bijou.

He wandered the airport aimlessly but determined to get there.

Boss: Which way? Maybe I should have brought Maxwell he is good with direction.

P.A: Attention last call for France departing at gate 15 in 20 minutes.

Boss: Gate 15 got it!

He ran down the stairs passing level after level, adrenaline pumping, eyes flushed knowing he had to catch that plane.

Daba, daba, daba, daba, daba, daba, daba, daba, daba. I can't miss that plane!

He finally reached Gate 15 the wheel stairway to the plane was slowly moving away.

Boss: Oh no you don't! I've come too far to turn back now.

He sprinted to the stairway as fast as he could. Then he jumped from the top of the stairway, which was by now a foot away. He grabbed on to the edge of the door but fell off. Luckily, he landed on an open suitcase of soft luggage the bellhop left there.

Boss watched in pain and disappointment as the plane took off without him on it.

Boss: I'll never get to France now. I might as well go home.

As Boss started his long trip back home, he turned to see a ham-sized plane with a ham-size pilot shouting and ringing a bell.

Asura: Come one; come all to the maiden flight of the H-7 Rouroni! Our maiden voyage is trip to France!

Boss: France? Hey over here!

Asura: Hey there would you like to join the flight?

Boss: Yeah, you're going to France right?

Asura: Sure am, and your name is?

Boss: I'm Boss and yours?

Asura: I am Asura, the legendary Ham pilot!

Boss: You're a legend?

Asura: Well not yet but someday I hope to be. You see I come from a long line of pilots, inventors, and technicians. I graduated from flight school at the top of my class and was valedictorian. I got my pilot license earlier than anyone in my family, and I built a plane you see before you. The H-7 Rouroni.

The only one of its kind a streamline detail, a polished finish an aerodynamic structure, and futuristic advances make it the most efficient and in my opinion coolest plane ever built.  

Boss: Impressive I've never seen anything like it before. Do you think you could take me on your flight to France? You see I have a friend who knew someone there and I want to find her and bring her back here as a surprise visit. Can you help me out?

Asura: I sure can buy maybe you could help me out.

Boss: I'll try.

Asura: Well I haven't eaten anything in awhile and I haven't had time to forage for food do you at least have a peanut to spare?

Boss: Sure, I brought lots of food and it's homemade.

Asura: Oh thank you so much.

Krump, krump, krump. Oh, this is very good you're a talented cook.

Boss: Actually, my friend T.W made it he loves to cook it's almost like it's a fixture inside him.

Asura: He sounds very nice.

Boss: Yeah but sometimes we don't get along, it's almost like he's-

A silence hot Boss with the intensity of a sharp bullet wound he realized he wasn't ready to reveal a part of his relationship with T.W

Asura: Yes, go on.

Boss: Uh, oh it's nothing.

Asura: All right then hop aboard will be in France faster then you can say croissants aplenty.

The maiden flight of the H-7 Rouroni to France will begin shortly.

Meanwhile at the clubhouse everyone was really starting to worry.

Hamtaro: Almost a whole day has gone by and there's still no sign of Boss.

Sandy: You don't think something happened do you? Maybe we should like go look for him.

Pashmina: It'll have to wait until morning our humans will be worried if we wait any longer.

T.W: I'll go and look for him.

Bijou: Be careful T.W.

T.W: I'll be alright.

Hamtaro: Snoozer will look out for him if he comes back?

Snoozer: Sure but I know he's fine, zuzuzu.

After everyone went home, T.W began the search.

T.W: There's that laundry basket. Here goes

T.W pulled out his backpack and brought out and umbrella but not just any umbrella a magic umbrella he received on one of his travels.

He tied pieces of string on both sides and tied the umbrella between them.

T.W: Ok off we go, umbrella extend!

The umbrella grew to human size and floated off into the sunset.

Meanwhile night had fallen and Asura was ready to take off.

Asura: Okay were ready to take off please fasten your seat belt and remain seated in the upright position while we gear to take off.
                                (Presses a button)
Countdown initiating now!
                                                              (Pulls a lever)
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and we have liftoff!

The plane runs along the runway and takes off into the night sky. Boss was in the living compartment slowly drifting off to bed.

Boss: Don't worry Bijou, ham-hams I'll return as soon as I can.

He turns out the light and slowly drifts off to sleep.

Meanwhile T.W was flying for nearly an hour looking for Boss.

T.W: Boss. Boss where are you? It's getting late I guess I'll have to turn back.

Just then, T.W noticed someone sitting on a rock by Windfall creek.

Looking closely it looked like a head with bushy eyebrows.

T.W: I think that's elder ham maybe he knows were Boss is.

T.W quickly landed on a dry patch of grass and ran up to the small rock.

T.W:  Elder ham is that you?

Elder ham: Who's there? Is that you Viv?

T.W: No sir. You don't me but I moved here recently and my friends told me about you.

T.W then stopped to notice that Elder ham fell asleep as he usually does though in the case it was very late.

T.W began shaking him feeling that if he knew were Boss was he had to find out.

T.W: Sir wake up, please wake up this is important.

(Sleep bubble pops)
Elder ham: What? Who's there? Oh, it's you. I don't think we've met you are?

T.W: My name is T.W I've been looking for a friend who's gone missing your Elder ham right?

Elder ham: Yes, so you're looking for someone?

T.W: Yes, my friends told me about you. It's Boss he's been gone awhile I've searching for him but there haven't been any leads. Have you seen him?

Elder ham: No not recently, I remember walking by this airport and I remember picking up this.

He hands T.W a piece of paper with a list and directions on it. T.W read carefully.

Canteen full of water check

Chestnuts and Sunflower seeds, check

Shovel and pickaxe, check

2. Find plane that departs to France

Oh my! That's were he went.

I have to go thanks for your help!

Elder ham: Hmm? Leaving all ready?

T.W: Bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada.

T.W popped into the basket and told the umbrella to extend. The umbrella grew in size and flew off for home. He knew he'd make by morning so he dozed off peacefully floating along the air.

Elder ham: You don't see that everyday.

The following morning everyone quickly met outside the tunnel to the clubhouse to start a search party to find Boss.

Hamtaro: I was sure Boss would come back by now.

Hakeru: T.W must still be out searching for him he never came home his bed's still made and his kitchen's never been used.

Bijou: I'm really starting to worry what if something terrible happened to Boss last night.

Cappy: We can't lose hope Boss wouldn't lose hope on us.

Maxwell: Cappy's right we should first put up posters all over the neighborhood.

Just then, everyone noticed a floating basket coming in for a landing right in front of them.

Pashmina: Wait a minute what's that over there?

The basket softly landed in front of them.

Hamtaro: Hello is anyone in there?

T.W slowly opened his eyes and shook the sands from hid face. He leaned over the basket to see all his friends in front of him.

T.W: Oh, I'm glad to see you guys I know were Boss are.

T.W had then gone on to explain that the list given to him by Elder ham was found at the airport and when the noticed that Boss's food stores were in the critical zone.

T.W: It all makes sense, since Elder ham found this at the airport and wanted to reunite Bijou and Henrietta he went on a plane to France to look for her.

Hamtaro: Then we have to go and bring him back.

Bijou: Well you can count me in. If I hadn't told you about Henrietta Boss never would have left.

T.W: But what about Maria? Won't she be coming back soon?

Bijou: I herd her mom say that'd she'll be with her dad a couple more weeks during spring break I can make the trip.

Pashmina: June and Kyle are going to visit their families for the week so we're going too right?

Penelope: Ookwee!

Dexter: I'm coming most defiantly.

Howdy: Me too.

Sandy: Like you can bet I'll be there what about you bro?

Stan: I wouldn't miss it for the world. A friend needs help and what friend I would be if I back out now; (thinking) especially if it gets me the ladies that tame my wandering eye snickers.

Sandy: Did you say something?

Stan: Oh, it's nothing.

Panda: Mimi will understand I'm sure, I'm going.

Bijou: What about you Hamtaro?

Hamtaro: I don't think I can go.

Everyone just stared at him not knowing what to say.

Hamtaro: Laura's going on another camping trip but only for 5 days if we didn't find Boss by then I�d have to leave.

Bijou: We can find him by then I know people in France that can help us please change your mind.

Hamtaro: All right then off to France we go!

Everyone: Yeah!

Meanwhile Asura and Boss had arrived in Paris, France. They stood in awe in the beauty and historic aspects they saw before them.

Asura: It's more beautiful then any book could display.

Boss: You mean you've never been here before either?

Asura: No this is my first flight outside of pilot academy. You had better prepare we'll be landing soon.

The small plane shows accents of grace and pride flying behind Paris's most beautiful landmarks. They twisted around the top of the Eiffel Tower, shot through the hidden detail on the counselees, and briefly sailed through a small collection of paintings of the louver.

Boss: This place is amazing I've never seen beauty like this back home except-

Asura: Except for what?

Except for Bijou the friend, I told you about. I came here to find a friend she knew and bring her back home for a surprise visit. However, I told you this already right?

Asura: Yeah but it's nice to hear again, so you came all this way to reunite two old friends I'm somewhat of a sentimental myself. I also had a lover L�sora was her name.

She had the hands of a peasant, the heart of an angel, and the eyes of a wanderer. Which she was she never stayed in the same place twice except one my hometown and more than twice I might add. I haven't heard from her in months I pray she's okay.

Oh, I'm sorry I've been rambling on ever since I graduated pilot academy I rarely see my friends and family back home. Do you think we could be friends?

Boss: Sure, we can back home my friends and I built a clubhouse at my place your welcome to join us anytime. You went to all this trouble for so it's the least I can do.

Asura: It's no trouble it's my job but I'll certainly accept you invitation. All right, fasten those seat belts we'll be landing now.

The plane gently landed at a small dock just outside the city.

Asura: Here we are Paris, France everybody out!

Boss stepped out of the plane amazed he finally made it.

Asura: Well good luck and remember you only have one week here afterwards come see me okay?

Boss: Right.

Asura: I'll be heading back to Usatokou Airport but before I do, I want to give you something.

Just so, you don't have to huff it the whole way take this. The Euro-20 a compact bike I invented.

It's streamlined, smooth mountain tires, colorful detail, and a pop up second seat and pedals easily converts into a bicycle built for two makes it one of the best bikes out there you just strap it on your backpack. Think of it as a thank you for the food.

Boss: Thanks, you're certainly handy with tools. I should introduce you to my friend Panda he's training to be carpenter. You two would get along great.

Asura: An inventor and a carpenter what a team that would be.

Boss: Well I better get going.

Asura: All right, see ya soon!

Asura started up his plane and headed back to the airport.

Boss: Well I better get started.

Therefore, Boss began his great journey to find an old friend in the mysterious city of lights.

Meanwhile Hamtaro and friends get ready to hit the big brie themselves. They spent the day packing for the big trip.

Hamtaro: Are we all present and accounted for?

Everyone: Yes!

Hamtaro: Have we all packed our essentials?

Everyone: Yes.

Hamtaro: This is it ham-hams were going to France to find Boss and possibly Henrietta.

It maybe scary, fun or even dangerous but we all agree to stick together and help each other out?

Everyone: Yes!

T.W: Everyone follow me! Off to Usatokou Airport!

They all went to T.W's house and went back to his garage to his very large laundry basket.

T.W: Okay everybody get inside!

The hams all got inside as T.W tied the umbrella to the basket rim in the middle and opened the umbrella up.

Ok Boss here we come, umbrella extend!

The umbrella grew and lifted the umbrella in the air.

Bijou: Wow, were really floating.

Hamtaro: How do you do it?

T.W: Through the use of the magic umbrella. I found it on one of my travels, it can grow to any size you wish, and it can grant the user to fly.

Hamtaro: We'll certainly get to the airport quicker.

With that said, the makeshift airship set off for Usatokou Airport.

While the ham's journey to France begins, Boss finds himself walking on the stepping-stones and soil of European avenues.

Humph, were to now? Boss asked himself as he began walking down the streets of Paris.

I have no idea were to go or who to ask. Maybe I should stop to rest.

After walking for quite sometime, he decides to stop by a nearby butcher shop to rest. He takes out his pouch of sunflower seeds and scissors right through them.

"Maybe I should ask someone for help." thought Boss as he ate.

Just then, a large turkey flapped away from the butcher shop.

"Get back here you scamp!" yelled the angry butcher.

Boss quickly noticed the large turkey and quickly raced away from it.

Get away from me you poor excuse for a bird! He shouted but the turkey took anger and ran faster in pursuit of the fur-backed hamster.

The chase went on for long time, through city streets, under benches, and through crowed alleys.

Soon the two were weak and tired but neither would stop running for fear of what the other might do.

Finally, Boss couldn't run another step and collapsed.

"I give up you win." He said in a weak and vulnerable voice.

The turkey went in for the final stretch, at that precise a moment a hamster that had been following them popped out.

Stop! The hamster exclaimed.

Amazingly, the turkey stopped right in front of him.

"This guy's had enough if wish to continue I'll be your opponent, but be warned you're peaked and weakened as well it won't be an honorable match if I defeat you here and now." So leave us be and return home.

A brief silence hit the street corner. After a couple minutes passed by the turkey just turned around and trudged back to the butcher shop.

"That guy wouldn't hurt a thing he just loves a sprinting race."

He then turned to see Boss lying weak on the ground.

"That selfish bird ran this poor guy ragged." The young ham said.

"The hamster then carried a wiped out Boss to his home in Osibaka the ham-ham inn.

"You poor ham, well don't worry now I'll fix you up."

Therefore, the gallant young hamster uses herbs to heal his limp and strained body, and then very carefully, he bandaged his peaked body.

"I hope you're not allergic to Apple-mushroom stew."

He began spoon-feeding him the warm stew to strengthen his body up. Boss's body began twitching all over. The stew and herbs began taking effect.

"Looks like you'll be ok." Said the young ham

"I'm glad I couldn't take it if that turkey ran you to death."

After feeding Boss the last if, the stew and helping him swallow some natural painkillers, he left the room to get him a wet facecloth for his forehead.

When Boss awoke, he found himself propped on a bed, bandages holding together his weak body.

Boss: Where am I?

"You're in the inn." The young ham said

Boss looked puzzled as to the young ham's words too weak out if it to realize a joke.

"I'm sorry you're not really in the mood for jokes, we're in the Osibaka inn: a hotel for ham-hams." I'm the co-runner and caretaker of this inn.

What happened to that turkey? Asked Boss

"Oh he's long gone". �That turkey is the butcher's pet. He got as a regular turkey to be worked on specially but he was so lean and fit the old man took pity on him and made him a pet instead."

"He loves to race everyone who's new in the neighborhood, usually he doesn't go this far but I guess you work out a lot and thought you were a real challenge."

Boss: Well I try, thanks for helping me.

Hamster: No problem. My name is Gari what's yours?

Boss: I'm Boss nice to meet you.

Gari: Same here do you think you can get out of bed?

Boss: Oh sure!

Boss got out of bed stretching his body all around

Gari: I'm glad you're alright because we're heavily understaffed right now and we need all the help we can get.

Boss had a puzzled look on his face.

What makes you think I'd work here? He asked.

"I can make it worth your while said Gari."

Boss: How so?

Gari: You can stay here for free room and board, all the food you need, and a nice hot bath. I can give you some nice clothes too.

Boss: Well since you put it that way Gari I can't argue, you did help me after all.

Gari: All right then let's get started, there's a uniform in the corner you can change into. Come down to the lobby when you're ready to get started.

Gari left the room closing the door behind him. As he put the uniform on Boss thought of his.

"It's nice to know I haven't gotten out of shape on the way here." Boss said thinking of course of the racing turkey incident.

"Despite the awkward way we met I'm glad to have met Gari it's nice to have at least one friend here.

"Maybe he can help me find Henrietta." He thought.

"Please try not to worry Bijou I'll return soon I promise."

Meanwhile Hamtaro and the others made it to Usatokou Airport. The makeshift airship landed were the plane to France took off yesterday.

T.W: Ok umbrella retract.

The umbrella retracted to its original size and put it in his backpack.

Hamtaro: Are you sure this is the place?

T.W: This is where Boss's list said he was. He must've made it to France by now.

Maxwell: I checked the plane schedule and the next plane for France wouldn�t be for 8 days.

Bijou: We can't wait that long Maria will be back 2 days after we won't make it back home in time.

Hamtaro: Don't worry Bijou will think of something.

Oxnard: Couldn't you use the umbrella to get us there T.W?

T.W: It won't get there in time we need each second we have.

The hams were in a true pickle they needed to get to France ASAP.

Just then, a flying object hurdled toward them

Hamtaro: What's that?

Meanwhile in Paris, it was sunset at the Osibaka inn and everybody was getting ready for tomorrow.

Gari was in the lobby of the inn scrubbing the floor on his hands and knees.

Ms. Enshi: Has he awakened yet?

Yes maman said Gari. He's coming around quite nicely. He's agreed to help us out as long as we give him room and board.

In addition, a salary he'll need money to live on. Said Ms. Enshi.

Boss came down the somewhat twisting staircase in full uniform, wooden Japanese shoes, a burgundy Kimono with the Osibaka logo on it, and a matching headband. As always, he kept his signature helmet on but was ready for work as he always is.

Boss: I'm ready to get started

Gari: Before we go any further, I want you meet someone.

He escorts his mother from the register to his new friend.

Gari: Boss this is my mother Annette Enshi. Mom this is Boss.

"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Shire I hope I haven't taken away from your work."

It's no trouble at all just our duty to the community oh and its Ms. But you can call me Annette. I'm the owner of the Osibaka.

"I told my mother that your body is still recovering so you won't be doing anything too strenuous for awhile."


"You kidding after that race with the turkey I've only been wasting my body here." Said Boss as boastful as ever.

If I'm gonna work here I'm going to work hard or not at all.

All right then said Annette. You can start with hoeing the new patch of the vegetable garden. The tools are in the shed out back please tried to finish it before tomorrow.

"Sure no problem." With that, Boss walks to the back door next to the register.

"Mom you saw how wiped out he was. This will truly compromise his body.

"Don't worry son I know what I'm doing said Annette."

"All right then but I'm going to draw a bath for him."

While Gari went to Boss's room to start a hot bath Annette was counting today's earnings.

"He is weak I know but he has a desire to be stronger she thought."

Boss had begun tilling the large patch of land and surprisingly despite his weakened state; he had come a long way.

(Up and down)
Boss: Groo-ba, groo-ba, groo-ba, groo-ba.

Maybe Gari was right but I want to earn my keep here. While I was prepared to rough it, it's nice to have new friends here. I only have a week here so I have to find Henrietta soon.

Through the night, Boss was hoeing until it was ready to plant. He even poked holes in just the right places to plant the seeds tomorrow.

"Well I guess I'm done for now I best be off to bed."

Boss tiptoed through the back door and up the stairs so he wouldn't wake anyone up. He entered his room to find Gari still awake.

Gari shouldn't you be in bed?

"Yeah I just was worried my mom gave you too hard a job with your body the way it is."

Boss then laughed is his happy yet somewhat evil way.

Boss: You don't have to worry kid it was tough but I'm just fine you see?

"All right then I kept a bath hot for you if you want it Gari said as walked to the door."

"Thanks it's very late you should go to bed said Boss."

"Ok good night Gari said as he closed the door."

"Good night kiddo."

Boss then went to the washroom and enjoyed a nice, hot quiet bath.

"This place is great thought Boss."

It's kind of a shame to have to leave in a week. However, I didn't come here to start a new life I came to bring a bit of Bijou's past into her new future.

Boss just soaked and in scrubbed in the tub a long time wondering what he'd do next. Meanwhile back in Usatokou Airport the hams just noticed a swift flying object heading towards them

Oxnard: Do you think it's the plane coming back from France?

Maxwell: It couldn't be it looks to small for a human.

Hamtaro: Wait a minute you guys I think it's-

The object got closer to reveal a hamster-sized plane and a familiar yet unfamiliar ham-pilot inside.

"Yep it's true it's a hamster plane!" Exclaimed Hamtaro

The plane swerved a bit and landed on the platform right in front of the hams, Asura stepped out surprised to see a group of ham-hams before him.

Asura: Yes, can I help you?

Hamtaro: I hope so my name is Hamtaro and these are my friends and we were wondering if you could take us to France in your plane.

Asura: Sure, I can but we haven't been introduced.

"I'm Asura Ham-pilot extraordinaire!"
What about you?

After the hams introduced themselves, Asura explained that he needed some food and water to make the next trip.

Luckily, the hams packed a bit more food then they needed and munched happily.

"So you see Asura we've been worried about our friend Boss he's been gone a long time and we want to go and find to make sure he's safe Hamtaro explained."

Asura: Boss you say I remember him now does he have brown and off-white fur, caries a backpack with a
Shovel strapped on, and wearing an
Odd-looking helmet. He also had a chip on his right ear.

"Yeah that's him have you seen him? Asked Hamtaro

Asura: Not only that I took him to France in my H-7 Rouroni. Said that was going to reunite Bijou here with someone that's all I know.

Bijou: It's Henrietta he's gone off to find her and it's my entire fault!

Tears streamed from her eyes feeling that if she just kept this to herself Boss would never have left. Just then, Sandy walked up to her and gave her a baton.

"Here you need it more than I do right now, don't worry it's washable."

Bijou used the baton to dry her tears and blow her nose.

"Bijou it's not your fault Boss left its' not anyone's fault Boss chose to leave to bring your friend back, he's doing this to make you happy not sad."

"I know thank you Sandy but I fear that Boss has another reason for doing this."

"I fear that he has feelings for me I can't return; when we get to Paris I have to tell him how I feel before he hurts himself over me Bijou thought."

While the hams are well on there way Boss awakes to a new day.

(Yawns) that's exactly what I needed. Boss stretched out of bed and began doing his morning warm up exercises.

(Rocks from side to side)
In addition, a 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2-yeah this is what I needed. A hard day's work, a hot bath, good night rest, and my morning exercises, now this is living!

The sun rose late this fine morning as everyone sat down to breakfast in the company dining room.

"A toast exclaimed Annette, to good food, health, and prosperity.

(Glasses clink together)
All: Cheers!

"Now today's a big day we have a lot to do said Annette. I need you and Gari to go shopping for new supplies our food and clothing stores are at critical levels.

"Yes mom said Gari."

"Now I know you're new to the area so I drew a map for you and Gari will help point you in the right direction."

Boss saw everyone running around in a mad frenzy, cleaning, cooking, and brightening up the inn.

Boss: And to think it was so quiet yesterday.

Soon after breakfast, Boss and Gari left to do the shopping. Along the way, Boss began asking about the inn.


Boss: Why is everyone so out there?

Gari: It's our spring fling this month, at certain times of year hamsters come from all over Europe, the states, and other countries to stay here for our seasonal rates.

In other words, we have the best food, accommodations, and location for miles around. We run out of food and stuff very easily.

"I see well Gari I was wondering if you know of someone named Henrietta she's the reason I'm here."

Gari: I don't think so but you might want to try the Ham-Ham conference.

What's the Ham-Ham conference? Asked Boss

Gari: It's a local hangout were hamsters go to eat, dance, or to get the latest news and gossip. Someone there might know where she is.

"Interesting could you take me there?"

Gari: Sure, it's not far from here but we best wait until later mom needs this stuff.

They soon reach the local market but not what you'd expect.

Boss: I didn't expect it to be outdoors.

Gari: A few shops around here are but this is one of the very best. Sours this has best stuff and the lowest prices.

They walk through some interesting aisles until they reach an expansive produce market.

Jenra: Morning Gari who's your friend?

Gari: Morning Jenra this is Boss our new employee Boss meet Jenra Rani our inn's excusive produce provider and close friend of the family.

Jenra: What can I do for you?

Gari: We need a few things.

He then hands Jenra a list of what they need. Jenra then puts on his reading glasses.


Jenra: Let's see that's

4 pounds of peanuts

2 pounds of both onions and shallots

3-pound tub of Sunflower oil

5 bunches of carrots

1-pound Pistachios

1 crate of Tomatoes

10 bushels of Broccoli

In addition, 6 crate of Apples Is that everything?

Gari: That's it thanks Jenra.

Boss: How are we going to carry all that back to the inn?

Gari: Easy Jenra has a van we can borrow since ours in needs have repaired.

Jenra: Your welcome to it it's right over there.

They turn to see a small two-person car linked to large wooden wagons with their supplies in them

Gari: We have one more place to go Grassans come on!

They ran up to the car and got inside. They fasten the seat belts, Boss turns the key, and the engine slowly starts. He shifts it into gear and they slowly drive away from the produce store.

Meanwhile the hams had spent the entire night aboard the H-7 Rouroni. Asura was in a very tired state but he continues to push himself forward to help his new friends out.

Hamtaro: Bijou! Bijou wake up

Bijou awoke in somewhat a rush.

Bijou: Is it morning already?

Hamtaro: A couple hours to noon really but all the same. Were almost there I think.

Bijou: Let me see.

Bijou looked out the window to see a familiar tower looming in the distance.

Bijou: its L� tower Eiffel, The Eiffel tower. We're nearly there

Hamtaro: This is it Boss, were coming.

Meanwhile Boss and Gari were taxiing down the street on there way to Grassans. As Boss drove, Gari gave directions.

Gari: Turn right here, then a left, then another left, and one more right.

And were here

(Car stops)
Gari: Welcome to Grassans.

The two step out of the van and enter through an electronic door. They walk around seeing house wares of all kinds.

Gari: We always get our house wares from Grassans there's no place better.

Boss: I certainly would want some of this stuff for my place.

Gari: Your room at the inn?

Boss: No my room back home, remember when you said the Ham-Ham conference was a hangout well my place is where my friends and I used to hangout.

They don't know I'm here because I wanted to find the friend of a very dear friend and surprise them.

Gari: You must miss them.

Boss: I do.

Gari just looked at him crushed that he would leave soon. He hoped that Boss would be around forever but he said nothing of it.

Gari: Well let's see mom needs-

A new broom

Hammer and nails

Cleaning socks

90 piece ceremonial tea set

Whitewash

Writing paper

And a new king-sized bed

Boss: I can't carry all that.

Gari: We don't have to we give them the list; they pack it in the van and were off.

They walk up to the register and ring the little bell.

Then a small female hamster walks up the register ready to serve.

Rhoda: Hello there Gari and-

She then looks as Boss noticing that she's never seen
Before.

Rhoda: Um, you are?

(Holds out his paw over the counter)
Boss: I', Boss I just started working at the Osibaka inn.

(They shake)
Rhoda: I'm Rhoda I should have figured you were working there considering the uniform you're wearing.

Boss then looks to notice his uniform.

Boss: I forgot I was wearing this.

Rhoda: Well fine sirs what can I do for you?

Gari: We need all the stuff on this list.

Gari hands her the list, she read the list and whistled for someone in the back room.

Rhoda: I'm just waiting for my partner.

Just then, a moderately tall and mini-buff hamster emerged.

Rhoda: Boys this is my husband and partner Jack Mura. Jack I have a new assignment for you.

She then hands him Gari's list and after a while, everything was packed in the van.

Jack: That's the last of it honey.

Rhoda: Thank you Jack. Well boys that's it your all ready go. Now with the closing costs and coupons that comes to 200 sunflower seeds and 4 peanuts.

Gari reaches into his wallet and takes two cards with sunflower seeds inside and two peanuts in there shells from his pocket in a small bag.

He then hands them to Rhoda she counts them, and places them in the register.

Rhoda: Thank you and come again

Gari: We had better go the inn's gonna open soon.

As they left for Osibaka in the borrowed van Boss was amazed to see so many sunflower seeds in one tight package that it could fit in your pocket.

Boss: Were did you get all those seeds?

Gari: Oh, this is nothing we have big bags full back at the inn.

We save them to buy things or we just eat them. I told hamsters from everywhere come to stay at our inn and naturally we charge but since your working for us you have your own room as do all our employers who are either looking for there own place or they don't have anywhere else to go.

Boss: That's too bad.

Gari: Yeah but a lot have chose to stay out of friendship while others move out when they find a place they like but they still visit. Our sense of family is what makes us so popular.

While the two friends talk winding down the road Asura has landed his plane in the same dock were he dropped off Boss.

By now, Asura was half-asleep and just wanted to rest.

Asura: P-Paris, France everybody out.

The hams got out to see they were really there.

Bijou: It's exactly as I remember it.

Maxwell: How are we ever going to find Boss in this big place?

Sandy: Like don't worry Maxwell we'll find a way.

Bijou: And I know the first place we should look town square. I have friends that meet there every day to talk about the latest gossip. They might know were to find Boss.

Hamtaro: Show us the way Bijou and will follow.

Asura: I'd really like to help you guys honestly I do but I'm so tired.

Hamtaro: Don't worry Asura you getting us here was help enough. Get some rest Bijou will help us now so you just get some sleep you deserve it.

Therefore, with Bijou leading the way, Hamtaro and friends set off for town square.

T.W then got something from his backpack and ran back to Asura's plane.

(Gives Asura a pouch of food)
T.W: Here.

Asura who by now was so tired his vision was weak began to focus clearly at the pouch T.W had given him.

T.W: It's chestnuts an apple slices it might help replenish your strength.

As T.W races to catch up with the others, Asura drifts quietly to sleep.

Meanwhile at the Osibaka everything was unpacked from the van and stored just in time. The inn's front door burst opened and hamsters from every place you could think of ran to the front desk to get any room available.

Annette: Okay everyone can we have a nice straight line. Now we only have 12 rooms available so the first twelve people who want their own room move to the left of the register, those who can share an extra room we have turn right of the register.

Now the rest of you will have to leave I'm sorry.

Therefore, everyone else quietly left the inn Annette greets there new guests and gives them the keys to there room.

Annette: And finally, you two are sharing a room right?

Jonas: Yes ma'am.

Liz: Our house is in need of some major repairs so while were away from we wanted to stay with the very best.

Annette: Why thank you well here are you keys and Gari will show you to your rooms. Boss please get there luggage.

Gari showed the two up to their rooms while Boss right behind them bringing up the luggage.

As they climbed up the stairway, Gari began to ask-

Gari: If you don't mind my saying, so you look a little young to be married.

(Chuckles)
Jonas: Oh, we're not married.

Liz: But were not living together either.

Jonas: We're brother and sister.

Gari: I'm sorry I just thought that-

Liz: Oh, think nothing of it we are asked that sometimes since were almost always together.

Jonas: Hams best know us as the inventors of the Orchard Hero Sandwich.

Gari: That's the signature meal from the Ham Ham Conference. You guys are the ones who invented it?

Jonas: Yep that's us.

Liz: They hire us to help develop there newest ideas. It pays well and we get free eats on new items and an employee discount.

Gari: Speaking of employees my mom asked me to tell you she needs to see you after we escort them to there room.

Boss: Right, thanks.

In no time, at all they reached the room.

Gari: Well here's room 12 1 �.

Liz: I thought it'd be room 13.

Gari: Well when we first opened, I made a mistake labeling this room and we just decided it would be a quirky feature we would keep.

Gari puts the key in the lock turns it slightly to the right and the door opens to reveal a really great sized room.

Liz: Just the right size.

Boss: Where do you want this stuff to go?

Jonas: Just put it over by the closet please.

Gari: Here's your key and if you anything just push, this button and the attendants will help you.

While Gari helps to settle in the attendants Boss goes downstairs to the lobby were Annette is waiting for him.

Boss: Gari said you wanted to see me.

Annette: Yes, sit down. I have to admit that like my son I didn't think you could handle this job but for what it's worth, I'm glad I was wrong.

Boss: Thank you Ms. Shire.

Annette: I said you could call me Annette.



Anyway moving on, I still think your body is recovering from the turkey incident and I don't want to strain you so after you take the rest of the luggage to our guests I want you to have the rest of the day off.

Gari and I can handle the inn ourselves for a while I don't want you to strain yourself and before I forget

She goes to her register and brings out an elongated box filled to the brim of sunflower seeds. She then hands it to Boss who looks very puzzled.

Boss: What's this for?

Annette: It's your pay it's a little more than I normally pay but you've earned it. You can use those seeds to buy or trade whichever you prefer for furniture, food, gift, just about anything in the shops all over France.


Boss: I couldn't take your seeds I wouldn't feel right.

Annette: its okay you worked hard for every last seed besides it's not just you I pay Gari and everyone here so it's only fair. Now go have some fun!

Boss: Ok! I'll just finish real quick.

Therefore, Boss quickly moved the last of the luggage upstairs then went to his room and carefully packed his earnings in a large compartment in his backpack.

(Thinking)
Boss: I'd hate to leave Gari and Ms.-I mean Annette alone but I need to take this chance to go to the Ham Ham Conference and find out about Henrietta.

Boss then double-checked to see he had everything then propping on his backpack he went to the storage room and packed some of the produce they bought today. He remembered that Annette said he could help himself to some just as long as he left enough for the kitchens to use.

Afterwards he went to find Gari who was heading up to on of the guests rooms with some tea.

Boss: Gari hold on a minute.

Gari set his tray down on the stairs.

Gari: Yeah?

Boss: Annette gave me the day off so I thought I'd go to the Ham Ham conference to find out about Henrietta do you know were to find it?

Gari: Sure, I do I'll help you as soon as I bring this tea to room 7.

Gari quickly brought the tea to room 7 then went back downstairs and walked Boss down the street and then stopped to show him the way to the Ham Ham Conference.

Gari: You just take this street then make a right until you see a hip-looking building with a sign that has gold sunflower seeds on it you can't miss it.

Boss: Thanks I'll try not to be gone long in case you need help.

Gari: Don't worry you take all the time you need I just wish we weren't so busy so I could help you.

Boss: You're a good kid you remind of someone back home.

He then closes his eyes and an image of T.W is fixed in him.

(Thinking)
Boss: T.W you were an intense one alright, it's almost like-

Boss then snapped out of his dream state and realized that he had to get going.

Boss: While I'm standing around dreaming, I could be getting something done. I had better go see ya later Gari.

With that, Boss raced off like a shot and began the first leg of finding Henrietta. As Gari walks back to the inn he wonders of Boss's friends and if there worried about him realizing that he's here and not with them.

Meanwhile Bijou and the others now that they've reached their destination began there journey to town square.

Hamtaro: How much further Bijou?

Bijou: Just a few more blocks

Oxnard: I don't think I could walk another yard.

T.W: You can lean on me but have to keep walking.

Oxnard: Thanks T.

Maxwell: I knew I should have brought my map of France.

Sandy: No offense but it wouldn't of helped over it was published 150 years ago.

T.W: I have an idea someone could use the magic umbrella and float up to get a better look of were we are.

Bijou: I'll go this was my hometown so I'm going.

Hamtaro: I'll go with you.

T.W: Okay just be careful.

T.W pulled out his magic umbrella and some rope, tied the umbrella handle with the rope and Hamtaro and Bijou climbed on.

T.W: You ready?

(Both nod in agreement)
T.W: Umbrella, extend!

The umbrella tripled in size and sent Bijou and Hamtaro floating high in the air.

Hamtaro: Did you find the way Bijou?

Bijou: I think so yep we continue the way was going will make it in an hour or so.

T.W: how far are we?

Hamtaro: We just have to keep moving forward.

T.W then told the umbrella to retract and they slowly floated back down to good 'ol terra firma. After deciding to stop and rest for a while, everyone began thinking of times past.

Hamtaro: Sometimes it seems like only yesterday Laura and I moved back home where I met Boss and you for the first time Oxy.

Oxnard: I know what you mean it seems things just got more fun when we met someone new.

Bijou: I know I felt the same way meeting all of you I knew from that day on I'd always had a friend to talk to.

T.W: I'm certainly glad to know I'll never be alone again with friends like you around. I first thought Boss was a jerk and bully but then I saw another side now I think of him as family as I do you guys.

Bijou: Yeah. Who would've thought he'd leave us because of my silly stories.

Hamtaro: It wasn't silly to tell us what you were feeling Bijou. I know you've felt you're to blame for Boss leaving but it isn't your fault.

It's like Sandy said Boss wanted to find Henrietta and be happy again. He knew you missed her and the only reason he didn't tell us because he probably wanted to surprise you.

Bijou began to breakdown and cry.

Hamtaro: Bijou please, don't cry.

Bijou: I can't help it Hamtaro, Boss has always been a good friend to me, but I worry something has happened to him.

She continued to cry on Hamtaro her friends worried if she'll ever be the same.

Meanwhile after searching for quite some time Boss finally reached the Ham-Ham Conference.

It was a huge building built in the �Ye old style� but looked somewhat up to date with today.

Boss: This is it I hope someone here can help me.

Therefore, Boss walked through the beautiful scenery that made you forget you were in the city and entered through the great redwood door.

We last left Bijou crying in the middle of a Paris street on there way to town square with a weighted heart. Hamtaro asks T.W to get him s handkerchief from his backpack. He then gives it to Bijou to dry her tears.

Bijou: (Sniffles) Merci Hamtaro.

Hamtaro: Bijou I know you're worried about Boss we all are but he can take care of himself and no matter what we'll find him.

Bijou: You think so?

Hamtaro: I know so and this doesn't just have to be a search party trip let's try looking at this as an adventure. That way alongside the pain worrying, we can make some good memories here.

Bijou's tears break up a little and is able bring herself up.

Bijou: Your right Hamtaro we can't give up we made it this far so let's go all the way!

Hamtaro: That's the Bijou I know come on everybody we have some ground to cover!

Everyone: Yeah!

Therefore, the plucky group of ham ham friends marches on to town square. While there, main priority is to find Boss there also looking forward to the adventure that lay ahead.

Bijou: Were almost there I can see the landmark up ahead.

Cappy: What landmark is that and what is a landmark anyway?

Maxwell and T.W: A landmark is a building, a statue, or other object that reminds us of a particular place or event.

Then they both looked at each other realizing they were talking at the same time and laughed.

Bijou: Right and the landmark here is the coat of arms.

After walking a few minutes more they finally reach the town square.

Hamtaro: Well were here I think.

Bijou: Yes, this is town square and there's the coat of arms.

Bijou directs everyone eyes to see in the middle was the Omaraki coat of arms. The symbols of a hamster, sunflower seed, sword, and a sunflower grace the key stone of the town square.

Bijou: I never thought I'd see my old neighborhood again.

Hamtaro: Aren't you glad you came?

Bijou: Yes, I am your right this doesn't have to be a bad thing this can be a great adventure and I'm going to start right now.

Bijou then ran to an old gate in the north gate of town square.

Hamtaro: Bijou, wait up!

Hamtaro raced after her curious as to what crossed her eye while the other hams began to explore the square.

Maxwell: They have a bookshop here.

Maxwell looks through the bookshop window to see a wide array of books more than he's seen in a long time.

Maxwell: It has twice as many books then the bookstore back home.

While Maxwell decides to enter the bookshop, Cappy is mesmerized by large number of hats in the hat shop.


Cappy: They don't make them like this anymore except for here; I must have one as a souvenir.

Hakeru was walking around seeing all the different shops until a small grey building caught her eye.

Hakeru: I wonder what that is.

She got closer to see it was a dance studio.

Hakeru: Hey a dance studio! Free Jazzercise classes for 3 days I have to check this out.

Hakeru makes she right at home, seeing she's an accomplished dancer. T.W and Howdy were in the house wares store noticing they had quite a selection.

T.W was eying and pawing a beautiful oven.

T.W: I've seen these in magazines and television but never the real thing. It's a vintage looking Victorian oven but it has all of today's features. It's even cooler looking up close if only I could buy it.

Howdy was trying on accents for his apron and it wasn't going well.

Howdy: Should I try the navy blue denim look or the Mr. Mom look?  T what you think?

T.W didn't think either one was very appealing but he didn't want to hurt his friend or lie so he said-

T.W: Well what ever you decide is fine as long as you like it.

Howdy: You're right neither of these is the right one.

(T.W was relieved)

Howdy: I'll get the "Kiss the Comic" look instead.

T.W falls down anime style

Howdy: What, Too flashy?

Meanwhile Hamtaro reaches Bijou at the north gate somewhat out of breath.

Hamtaro: What's in here?

Bijou: Behind this gate is a playground I used to play in when I was small I loved coming here with my friends all the time.

Bijou opened to gate to see her playground just as she left it if not a little renovated.

Bijou: Le sol park perfect as always.

Hamtaro: Would you mind if I came or do you want some time alone?

Bijou: Not at all, in fact I was hoping we could spend some time together just us.

Therefore, Bijou and Hamtaro walked around the park for a while taking it easy.

They waded their feet in the pond, chased some butterflies, laid a tall hill of meadow grass imagining the clouds in funny shapes, and went strolling through a valley of flowers were Hamtaro gave her daisy which she put in her hair.

They then went to the playground and slid down the side, then went up and down the seesaw, and went around the carousel always together. They then went to the swing and Hamtaro pushed Bijou back and forth. The sun slowly began to set into night.


Bijou: It was nice being here again.

Hamtaro: Did it feel like old times?

Bijou: No.

Hamtaro then got silent and sad then he heard Bijou laugh.

Bijou: Giggles better.

Hamtaro: I'm so glad.

Bijou: Me too.

After awhile it got a bit late and Hamtaro and Bijou were sitting an old strong oak tree watching the beautiful crescent moon.

Hamtaro: This was a great day wasn't it?

Bijou: Yes it was. You know ever since I met you Hamtaro you've always found a way to make a bad situation and turn it around. I really appreciate you doing it today when I needed it most, while I'm still worried about Boss at the same time I can't wait to see more of this beautiful country.

Hamtaro: I'm I could help you in some way Bijou. Whenever you're sad even when I don't know why I'm sad too. We've been in tight spots before and always made it home together.

Bijou looked at Hamtaro looked more confident then she's ever seen him.

Hamtaro: We'll get through this too, I promise.

Things were quiet after that and they just looked at dreamy night sky glad to be together.

Meanwhile everyone else were met at the coat of arms after there day out everyone except a certain twosome.

Maxwell: Is everyone here?

Hakeru: Everyone except Bijou and Hamtaro I wonder were they are.

They search the square until they noticed the north gate. Seeing it open the go inside to see two familiar faces a top an old oak tree quietly slumbering leaned against each other.

Cappy: There asleep should we wake them?

T.W: I don't think so Cappy they look to peaceful to disturb them now. Besides it's getting late we should probably bunk for the night ourselves.

Pashmina: But were will we sleep it's too late to find a place to stay.

Penelope was shivering in the oncoming breeze.

Penelope: Ookwee!

T.W: Luckily, I came prepared I brought sleeping bags for everyone.

Sandy: But were will we like set up camp?

Panda: I saw some giant sunflowers in that field up ahead we could sleep over there.

The hams soon reach the patch of giant sunflowers big enough to set up camp in for a hamster anyway.

T.W setup his sleeping bag on top of one of the giant sunflower seeds and snuggled in. As his backpack was heavy he and the other hams left there backpacks on the ground under were they were sleeping.

T.W: Good night everyone.

All: Good night.

Soon our ham friends resting happily hoping they'd find Boss tomorrow. T.W awoke feeling there was something he should do. He then remembered and wiggled out of his sleeping bag.

He slid down the sunflower stem and tip toed to his backpack as not to wake anyone. He reached in his backpack to get out a blanket. He trucks over to the oak tree where Hamtaro and Bijou were still as peaceful as ever. He climbed the tree up to them and covered them in the blanket to keep them warm.

T.W: I feel were so close now I don't want you to freeze or get sick, it was nice to have some space from everybody but still were like a big funny family and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

T.W looked up at the dreamy night sky and says to himself-

(Thinking)
T.W: This must be what Bijou was saying at the airport. These two are really in love; no matter how sad on of them feels the other can always bring their sprits.

I know what it felt like to have my first love crumble at my feet but I don't think anything or anyone will be able to console Boss for this.

The view focuses to the night sky T.W looks upon its beauty on last time before going back to bed.
Boss stumbled around the large building most of the not knowing where to turn next.

Boss: I think no I know I'm lost. How do you find your way around here?

Boss aimlessly wanders the halls until he reached a large wooden door. It was so big it almost touched the ceiling.

Boss: I hope I found it.

Boss opened the door to find a giant restaurant and juice bar. Hamsters from all over Paris were there eating, drinking, and dancing the night away. Then a rugged yet refined ham-girl walked up to Boss and in a sweet sultry voice said-

Sondra: Hey there tough guy, can I buy you a drink?

Boss just stood there not knowing what to say as no girl has ever been this straightforward with him before. However, he tried to collect himself, he knew he shouldn't for he was on a mission but decided to be more casual.

"Sure. Boss said in calm cool voice."

They walk over to the bar and pull up a double stool sitting beside each other.

Sondra: Yo, bartender some service.

A stern somewhat stubby hamster appeared from the back room holding a rag and glass the usual attire except for the russet fur and caring eyes.

Bartender: What'll it be?

Sondra: I'll have the sunflower sprit malt, you?

Boss: I think I'll have the Walnut ale.

Bartender: Coming right up.

The bartender put on his usual show a spritz of this, a shake of that, it's all in the presentation and taste of course. He swished a full glass at the girl then another at Boss. He passed them some straws and sipped away

Sondra: By the way, I'm Sondra you must be new in town.

Boss: Is it that obvious?

Sondra: Well yeah, I saw you wandering around the entrance clueless but hey, I was the same when I first started coming here.

Boss just chuckled lightly and sipped his drink blushing of embarrassment the whole time.

Sondra: Oh don't sweat it gets easier trust me so what's your name?

Boss still felt embarrassed and a bit pissed off so he just sipped his drink without saying a word.

Sondra: Are you ok?

(Grumpily)
Boss: If you mean by embarrassing me in front a crowded room then I'm just peachy.

Sondra: Well I'm sorry but I was just trying to be upbeat.

Boss just gave her a cold look and continued sipping his drink.

Sondra: Ok that's it!

Sondra grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him around until his helmet fell off.

Sondra: Look I'm sorry for what I said but why do you have to be so cold? I just wanted to make friends and you blow me off you won't even tell me your name!

Now I'm not letting you go until you tell me your name!

An awkward silence was around the two.

Boss: It's Boss, okay.

(Thinking)
Sondra: Is this guy for real? It would explain his proud demeanor.

Sondra let loose her grip on Boss and picked up his hat. As brushed off the dust and shined it up she said-

Sondra: All right then now that were on a first name basis is there anything I can help you with?

Sondra shined it as good as new and put it back on his head. Boss sat down again and began sipping his drink.

Boss: (Sips) well there's someone I'm looking for. She lives somewhere on river sine or something.

The two talk for a while as Boss explains about his little excursions through the city.

Sondra: So you came miles away from home to reunite your girlfriend's friend?

Boss: Yeah except the girlfriend part.

Sondra: Really? From the way, you talked about her all blush-like I thought you were and item.

Boss: Were just friends but were very close. Anyway Sondra do you know how to get to the river sine?

Sondra: You finally used my name about time but anyhow I can't help you there but I know someone who can. Come with me!

She leads Boss to door that enters a hallway, leaving the restaurant behind they travel through a somewhat tunnel hallway until they reach another door.

Sondra: This is the caf� were one of my friends come to dine. I'm sure he can help you find who you're looking for.

Sondra opened the wooden door to reveal an old vintage looking caf� relevant to a Victorian French style. Boss stood there for a while getting a little weak kneed that after the days that went by Sondra

Sondra: Come on don't be shy.

She led Boss by the hand through the tables up to the diner table. The two pull up a stool next to a hamster with rugged candy brown fur, coal black eyes that in a glimmering sun they give off a beautiful tint of blue, and a palatable appetite.

Then the chef and waiter cam out from the storage closet with an order pad in his paw and a smile in his face.

Mr. Urona: What'll it be Rami?

Rami: I'll have the organic veggie curry with a side of potato sticks, a glass of milk in a frosty glass, and box of mini Belgium waffles to go.

Mr. Urona wrote down the order on his note as he always did and since there were few customers tonight it was a breeze as apposed to the busy Saturdays and holidays.

Mr. Urona: No problem and what about you two?

Boss: Just some cashews please.

Sondra: I'll just have a sweet red apple.

Mr. Urona went back to the storeroom and washed and polished a big sweet red apple, then took a scoop and scooped up some cashews from a barrel and put then went into the kitchen and lightly roasted them in the roaster.

He then put them in a brown paper bag lined with wax paper. He went back into the diner counter/table and served them there orders.

Sondra took a big bite from her apple she always loved how this caf� always had the best apples.

Sondra: Oh great thanks Mr. Urona. Ah, krump, krump, and krump this is so good.

Boss munched on the cashews with delight he found them quite tasty. It was hard to find them back home so this was a treat for him.

Boss: Krump, krump, krump so are you Sondra's friend, Rami is it?

Rami: Yes, I am and you are?

Sondra: Rami this is my new friend Boss, Boss this is my friend Rami.

Rami: It's nice to meet you.

Sondra: My friend Rami lives in a small town on the river sine, if anyone would know it'd be him.

Rami: That's right I come to the city as much as I can so I can visit with my friends and relatives

Sondra: Well go ahead ask him.

Rami: Ask me what?

Boss: Well I'm searching for my friend's friend and I think she lives in some village or town on the river sine.

Rami: What's her name?

Boss: It's Henrietta.

Rami: Hmm, that name is familiar. I remember my mother making friends with this woman who moved to our village 2 years ago. It might be her.

Boss: How do I get to your village? I have to find her!

Rami: I can show you the way but I must warn you it's not easy to get there for hams that aren't familiar to the area.

Boss: I'll risk it just show me the way.





Therefore, after they finished eating Rami took Boss and Sondra outside to his scooter.

Rami: This is our mode of transportation for the next few hours.

Sondra: It looks just as sharp if not more so then when you bought it.

Boss: It looks a little small though.

Rami: Well my car would have been an easier fit but I didn't plan on two passengers.

Boss: Sorry.

Rami: Never mind that were on a mission so hop in!

Boss helps Sondra in then gets in himself. They fasten the seat belt and put some helmets on. Boss wore it over his hat for double protection.

Rami: Is everybody ready?

Boss and Sondra both nodded so Rami turned the key the engine started, he squeezed the accelerator, and they rode off into the night.

They drove for a few hours, Boss and Sondra sharing the passenger's thingy. Rami was concentrating on the road ahead, he knew exactly how to navigate as he drove between home and the city loads of times.

They soon reach a dock where fishermen usually hang out and over by the dock was a canoe and paddle. Rami stops near patch of grass not far from the dock and everyone removes there safety gear and walk towards the dock where a stream flows from the dock and heads down to the river sine.

Rami: All we have to do is take that canoe up the stream and it will lead to the river sine, Then all we have to do is turn right then take a left the fork between mini streams and were in Soroto Village.

Boss: Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!

Rami: Only one problem though with are combined weight on that canoe it will take all of tonight and all day tomorrow to get there.

Sondra: In that case Boss you go on without us.

Boss: Sondra.

Sondra: Don't worry we'll be fine you need to get there more than us. Rami you can stay at my place tonight. Just remember after you get there to send the canoe back down and will meet you at the post office ok?

Boss wasn't sure about Sondra's plan until Rami nodded a reply.

Boss: All right then I'll go on ahead you two be careful ok?

Sondra and Rami nodded and Boss jumped in the canoe and began rowing away. Rami and Sondra race to the dock and wave.

Rami: Don't forget to turn right then left!

Sondra: Remember to meet us at the post office!

"I will! Exclaimed Boss about a mile away as he rowed closer to Soroto Village and Henrietta."
As we last left Boss he was rowing along the stream on his way to Soroto village. After taking, the Rami advised he found himself took over by the beauty of the river.

It was daybreak now and Boss's arms were getting stiff from rowing all night but he didn't care noir did he stop to rest, always keeping a steady, fast pace.

(Thinking) Boss: This is tough but I'm not giving up. All this time I thought I was here for Bijou but there's another reason.

Lately I've been wondering if I'm really am as strong as I thought. I don't just mean my physical strength but my mental strength as well. Ever since I heard Hakeru's difficult story and witnessed how T.W's painful memories nearly broke himself in two I've been reflecting my mental attitude as well.

The hams must know I'm gone by now, and Bijou's probably angry with me for not telling her or anyone were I went.

The only reason I did that is so if I didn't find Henrietta I wouldn't have gotten her hopes up.

However, what surprises me more than anything is T.W. He's been through things that until he arrived we knew nothing about.

However, even after all the pain he went through, and while he breaks down sometimes he usually so happy and carefree.

It was odd how we used to argue so much, but there's something about that kid that gets me right here (Rubs at his chest were his heart would be)

I know he's not my kid but sometimes I feel somewhat responsible for him even though he can great care of himself and others around him.

(Sighs)

Boss had made his way to a log tunnel with the bottom of the log sawed off. Above the tunnel was a sign that read-

"Enter this tunnel to reach Soroto Village!"

Boss: I'm almost there!

As Boss entered the tunnel he thought more of Bijou and the others and what he'd say when he saw them again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chapter 16 Open you heart Bijou! Boss begins his Journey along the river sine

Meanwhile back in the park where daybreak also hit our ham friends awoke to a new day.

Hamtaro and slowly opened there eyes showing them the new day around them and noticing a blanket around them that wasn't there before.

Hamtaro: Oh, where did this blanket come from?

Bijou wiggled her body around as she quietly opened her eyes.

Bijou: Oh, good morning Hamtaro. Did you get this Blanket for us?

Hamtaro: No, I was going to ask you the same question.

Then around that moment, T.W who awoke before everyone else climbed up the tree to the awoken Bijou and Hamtaro.

T.W: Good morning you two.

Hamtaro: Hey T.W

Bijou: T.W do you know who put this blanket around us?

T.W: Oh that was me I didn't want you catch cold up here.

Hamtaro and Bijou looked around to see they were still in the tree they were sitting in last night.

Hamtaro: So you mean to say we've slept in this tree all night?

Bijou: Where are the others? They must've spent all night looking for us!

T.W: Oh, we found you guys asleep last night so we bunked in those giant sunflowers so we could keep our eyes on you. Anyway, I'm getting breakfast ready so come down soon.

As T.W climbed down the tree, the two just looked at each other very confused in heart.

A few minutes had passed and everyone met in that patch of flowers for some breakfast. T.W had been brought along a makeshift outdoor kitchen and was cooking away.

As he was getting breakfast ready the hams gathered around in a circle talking about there experiences yesterday.

Maxwell: I went to this bookshop and got some great finds and at bargain prices to boot.

Hakeru: Speaking of boots I won this cute pair of them for being the best Jazzerciser at class yesterday

(While he was brewing tea) T.W: That's great Hakeru, so what did you do yesterday Pashmina?

Pashmina: Oh, I found this cute clothing store and they had a pink mini- coat I wanted but I was a little short of seeds.

Dexter: I could give you the amount you need I brought some seeds for an emergency.

Pashmina: That's very sweet of you Dexter but I really couldn't-

Just then, Howdy crept up to her.

Howdy: Of course, you couldn't when I could offer more.

Pashmina: Thanks but it's really not necessary.

Dexter: Pashmina's right Howdy it's most certainly not necessary to put up a bribe.

Howdy: Me?! You're the one who offered!

Dexter: You offered too!

Howdy: Well you're rationalizing!

Dexter: I don't how you know that but I'm not!

Howdy: Yes, you are.

Dexter: No, I'm not!

Then they got really close to each other, scrunched their noses together, and went at it!

Howdy: I said you're rationalizing so you are!

Dexter: No, I'm not!

T.W got fed up and shouted-

T.W: ENOUGH!!!!

They quickly stopped auguring and looked at T.W's angered expression.

T.W: All I wanted was a nice breakfast so we could talk about our day yesterday. SO FOR OUNCE CAN'T YOU TAKE A HOLIDAY FROM YOUR OBSESSIVE ARGUING?!!?!

After that outburst T.W quietly went back to cooking, leaving Howdy and Dexter looking at each other still stunned from what there usually quiet friend's rage.

Howdy: He's right Dex we shouldn't let this adventure pass us by. Let's not fight anymore, at least the rest of the morning.

Truce?

At first Dexter just looked at him then somewhat convincingly says-

Dexter: All right then, truce.

The two shake on it and things resume to normal. They then turn to Pashmina bowing before her.

Both: We're sorry Pashmina. We still want you to have some of our seeds so you can buy that coat. Think of it as a gift from both of us, please forgive us.

Pashmina: Of course, I will but I hoped you learned your lesson this time. Anyway, there was the coat and then I went to the tailor shop and had the tear on my scarf mended.

Penelope: Ookwee, Ookwee!

Pashmina: Oh yeah Penelope said she saw this neat bicycle in the toy shop window we passed. Is that a new bow tie Dexter?

Dexter: Indeed, it is I saw it in that same tailor shop and I had to buy it.

Howdy: T.W and I went the house wares store, I founds some accents for my apron.

T.W: And I found this super cool oven so I bought it. I'll pick it up we when leave.

Bijou: Speaking of leaving I hope we find Boss soon, anyway Hamtaro and I spent the day here just the two of us.

Hamtaro: I enjoyed myself yesterday. Anyone else do something?

Cappy: I got this new hat; I think they call it a beret. Alternatively, was it a chapeau?

T.W: It's actually called beret chapeau is the French name for hat. It's France's signature hat. Well Breakfast's ready I hope you like waffles

T.W got out his dinette set and plated up some mini-Belgium waffles, peeled slices of apples he found, and some pecans.

He also served some tea brewed from leaves he found in a community garden by the pond, and to go with the waffles he gave everyone a little pitcher of homemade hazelnut syrup he brought form home.

Bijou: Hmm, this is a good start to a good day.

(Smiles) T.W: I knew it'd be

Everyone: Let's eat!

Everyone began dining on the delicious looking spread. T.W was nervous and afraid it didn't come out right. Luckily, it came through just fine and everyone continued to talk about what they did yesterday.

Sandy: I thought there wouldn't be much for me to do and then I saw Hakeru go inside that dance studio and decided to follow her. It turns out they had gymnastics class that looked interesting so I signed up. The teacher was like so amazed when he saw what I can do.

Stan: Well I had a quiet day at the spa, a warm sensuous hot spring, my pores opened and tingly, a voluptuous broad on each arm massaging there tiny feminine paws on my rough and masculine body

Everyone just stared at him the guys somewhat jealous/confused and the girls feeling like cheap, used trash.

Stan: Oh, those girls were so good to me. What passion, what control, what-

Then Sandy stuffed some food down Stan's mouth to shut him up.

Sandy: Some things are best left unsaid ok bro?

Stan just mumbled with food in his mouth trying to swallow.

Panda: I went to this furniture store; they have some of the most beautifully detailed wooden chairs I've ever seen.

Oxnard: I went jogging around to loose this spare tire. T.W do you have any rice?

T.W: Sure Oxy but don't you like my waffles?

Oxnard: Yeah but I really need to trim down.

T.W: All right then

T.W took some leftover rice and put in a bowl along with some fish he caught early this morning de boned and cut into pieces with a pair chopsticks on the bowl.

T.W: Here you are friend enjoy.

Oxnard: Thanks, krump, krump, krump.

Meanwhile still rowing along the river Boss could see what began to look like a row of houses and buildings.

Boss: I can see some buildings I must be almost there. I have got closer.

Boss had been rowing non- stop and his arms were exhausted but he still would stop to rest he had to make it. After a further hour of rowing, Boss finally reached the shoreline.

Boss: I made it, this must be Soroto village.

Boss rowed to a dock and tied the boat down. He then got out stretching his body back into motion.

"1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, said Boss as he stretching." Oy, I feel so stiff that's what spending all night and half the day in a boat will do for ya.

Boss continued to stretch for awhile longer then he untied the boat from the dock and sent it back down the river for Sondra and Rami.

Then with his backpack securely wrapped around him Boss venture into the village feeling his journey is nearly over.

Meanwhile back at the Osibaka Annette and Gari are in the lobby working o some paperwork wondering were Boss is.

Annette: When do you think Boss will come back son?

Gari: I'm not sure Maman he said he needed to look for someone. (Sighs) The inn isn't the same without Boss here.

Annette: You're right. I hope he finds who he's looking for and that he's giving his body some rest because we'll need him soon.

Just the inn door opened and Rami and Sondra walked up the register.

Annette: Hello there, I'm sorry but were booked try coming back next week.

Rami: Excuse me miss but were not here for a room.

Annette: Oh, well how can I help you?

Rami: Does a guy named Boss work here?

Annette: Yes but he's not here right now. I gave him some time off. Are you the friends he was talking about?

Sondra: Well actually, we just met him last night at the conference.

Rami: He asked us to give you this message-

We soon flashback to last night

Sondra: Don't forget to meet us at the post office ok!

Boss: I will and tell everyone at the Osibaka inn I'm alright and that return soon!

End of flashback as we find them sitting in the staff dining room.

Annette: So he's now going to your village along the river for your mother's friend might be the girl he searching for?

Rami: Yes miss that's correct.

Annette had been blushing every time Rami called her "miss" making her feel young.

Rami: Are you okay did I say something wrong?

Annette: Well in a way I think we should introduce ourselves I'm Ms Annette Enshire, over there is my son Gari. However, you can call me Annette.

Rami: I'm Rami and this is my best friend Sondra.

Sondra: Hey, there!

Rami: I'd wager Boss is already at my village we're supposed to meet him there so we had better go.

As Rami and Sondra got up from the table and leave for the out to the lobby Annette said-

Annette: Hold it right there!

They stop and turn to see a gleam in Annette's eyes.

Annette: You're not going without us, right Gari?

Gari: Right!

They look puzzled at first but smile and say-

Both: Of course let's go!

Meanwhile after a filling breakfast Bijou and the others begin the search for Bijou's town square compares.

Hamtaro: We all agree to meet here in an hour, right?

All except Penelope: Right!

Penelope: Ookwee!

Hamtaro: Ok then let the great wide ham search begin!

All except Penelope: Yeah!

Penelope: Ookwee!

Everyone goes in different directions to find Bijou's friends.

Maxwell sees the bookkeeper outside the book shop so he walks up to him.

Maxwell: Excuse me, Mr. Warren.

Mr. Warren: Oh hello again Maxwell you finished those books already?

Maxwell: No not yet but I was wondering if you know of someone who mentioned knowing anyone named Bijou?

Mr. Warren: Sorry I don't know anything.

Maxwell sighs in disappointment, then he says goodbye and walks to the other side of the street.

Panda goes back to that furniture store and asks an employee there if they knew of Bijou's friends.

Employee: I'm sorry I don't anything.

T.W checks with the salesperson at the house wares store.

Salesperson: Nope I have no idea.

T.W: Sighs

Hakeru and Sandy went back to the dance studio and asked their teacher.

Teacher: Sorry if they weren't in this class I know nothing.

Hakeru and Sandy: Well it was worth a try.

Soon an hour went by and still no leads so everyone went back to the coat of arms all except one.

Hamtaro: So no one found out anything?

Everyone shook there heads

Penelope hung her head.

(Depressingly) Penelope: Ookwee.

Hakeru: Wait a minute where's Cappy?

Just then, Cappy came racing up really excited.

Cappy: You guys I found it!

Hamtaro: Found what?

Cappy then came in front of everyone very out of breath.

Cappy: (Pants) I found out were Boss is!

Everyone gasps

They soon Follow Cappy leading the way to the interestingly the Osibaka inn.

The hams burst through the door to see Gari and Annette packing for Soroto Village. Annette stops to notice the hamster with a saucepan on his head and a large group of hamsters behind him.

Annette: I'm sorry but we have no vacancies.

Cappy: We're not here for rooms ma'am, we're here looking for a friend of ours.

Hamtaro: Are you sure, you heard right Cappy?

Cappy: of course, I was walking down the street and I noticed these guys in the window talking about going to some village and then I heard them mention Boss's name.

Annette: So you're the friends Boss was telling us about?

Cappy: Yep! I'm Cappy and these are the ham hams. This is Hamtaro, Oxnard, Dexter, Howdy, Pashmina, little Penelope, Panda, the twins Sandy and Stan, and lastly T.W and Hakeru.

Gari felt a sharp jolt when he heard T.W's name.

Gari began to flashback to when he showed Boss the way to the Ham Ham Conference.

Boss: T.W you remind me of him.

End flashback to see a close-up show of Gari's face. Annette began a conversation with the hams.

Bijou: Do you know where Boss is?

Annette: Yep two more of Boss's friends showed up here.

Then Sondra and Rami came from the back re-stocking on supplies. They heard the whole conversation.

Rami: Hey, there I'm Rami.

Sondra: And I'm Sondra.

Pashmina: Boss never told us about you.

Sondra: Well I'm not surprised we only met him last night. He looked a little lost and nervous when I saw him come to the Conference so I went up to him and after we got off on the wrong foot, we started up chatting.

Then when he told me about helping to get his girlfriend's friend back together again, I introduced him to Rami here and now he's probably reached the village and were going there to meet him.

Pashmina: His girlfriend?

Sondra: Yeah you are Bijou right?

Bijou: Actually, I'm Bijou and I'm not Boss's girlfriend.

Sondra thought for a minute then realized she got confused.

Sondra: Oh yeah Boss told me that but I forgot the way he talked about you I thought you were a couple.

Bijou blushed and kept quiet for awhile.

Hamtaro: Anyway, could you take us to where Boss is?

Rami: Sure but my scooter won't carry us all I'll have to rent a van.

So after checking there supplies on more time they marched out if the inn. Meanwhile Liz and Jonas had heard everything when they were coming down the stairs.

Jonas and Liz: Bijou was that you?

Meanwhile Boss had reached the heart of Soroto and didn't know were to go.

Boss: Oh, I knew I forgot something.

I FORGOT TO ASK RAMI WERE HE LIVES!!

(Sighs)

However, Boss certainly didn't give up not after coming this far so he walked around and asked everyone he met if they knew were to find Rami's mother or Henrietta with no luck.

A few hours had passed and Boss must have questioned at least 20 hamsters and still was clueless as were to find Rami's house or Henrietta.

Boss: Oh, it's nearly the evening and still no leads.

"Is this the end of my journey?" Boss asked himself.

Just then, he saw a ham-girl wearing an old fashioned dress, cute shell earrings, and brown work gloves. Her eyes looked like Rami's as does the candy brown fur.

Boss ran up to her hoping that this was Rami's mother.

Boss: Hey, over here!

The woman turned to see a rugged individual calling her.

Boss: Excuse me are you Rami's mother?

Maruko: Yes, I am and you are?

Boss: I'm Boss this is kind of along story and I hope I'm not in asking seeing as we just met but could we chat over at your place?

Maruko: Sure, I was going home anyway, I have to get this milk, and produce home before it spoils.

Boss: I'll help you carry those if you like.

Maruko: That's okay I can manage.

So the two went to Maruko and Rami's home to discuss this further

Meanwhile Bijou and the others rode in a rental van, With Rami driving on there way to the dock.

(Thinking) Bijou: This is it, there's no turning back now we're coming for you Boss.

(Thinking) Hamtaro: Bijou's gotten upset again I know it. I guess this harder for to deal with then any of us. I hope we find soon.

(Thinking) Hakeru: This may feel selfish but side from all the pain from this whole thing and believe me I know pain there's been some fun stuff in between all this. It's like Hamtaro said no matter how bad a situation is it doesn't have to be negative. It can be a great adventure. He's truly remarkable.

Everyone sent a prayer in their minds for Boss to be okay as they rode closer to Soroto Village and Boss.

Meanwhile at Rami and Maruko's home after putting the groceries away she treats Boss to some coffee and �clairs.

(Sips)
Maruko: Before we go any, further with this discussion my name's Maruko.

Boss: I'm Boss sorry I didn't tell you sooner but I've been searching for a lead to my friend's friends since I arrived and I've been forgetting my manners.

Maruko: Quite alright, I was kind of in the zone myself.

Boss had went on to explain his story of Finding Bijou's friend, making lots of friends, and finding his place in this great new world.

Maruko: So you're looking for an old friend of a lady friend of yours?

Boss: Yes and your son Rami told me you were friends with her. You met her two years ago?

Maruko: Yes, you told me around that time your friend moved to your neighborhood. Let's see we hit it off famously and I do recall mentioning an old friend who recently moved. What was her name again?

Boss: Henrietta.

Maruko: Yes, I do know someone by that name in fact she's here now.

Boss: Can I see her?

Maruko: Well the last time I saw her she was in the guest room asleep: she stayed the night kind of a sleepover but I'll see if she's awake. Please excuse me.

As Maruko left for the guest Boss was beaming with anticipation, his hopes had never been as high as that moment that in a few seconds he would finally meet the girl he traveled so far and so long face to face.

Maruko knocked on the door of the guest bedroom and waited for a reply.

Maruko: Henrietta. It's Maruko, are you awake?

Maruko knocked again, which woke a dazed Henrietta. She had white and caramel fur, over by the nightstand a straw sun hat with a pink bow on the back she always wore, along with a pendant/locket with a picture of her and Bijou when they were little, and red-violet eyes with a tint of pink.

"Yeah I'll be right out said while yawning and half asleep."

Henrietta wiggled out of bed put on her hat and pendant and walked to the door. She opened the door and followed Maruko through the hallway to the breakfast nook.

Henrietta: So what's up?

Maruko: There's someone here who's looking for you. It seems from Bijou's new neighborhood.

Henrietta stopped overtook by what she heard. She hadn't seen or heard from Bijou since she left 2 years ago.

Henrietta: B, Bi-jou?

She then raised the pendant from chest to eye level. She opened the locket compartment to see a picture of her and Bijou when they were still little.

She then flashes back to 2 years and a month ago before Bijou knew she was leaving. She, Bijou and Liz were in the park under a leafy tree reading "The peasant angel" storybook.

"Ounce in a land quite like ours, in a time just like ours there lived a peasant boy named Hamura who lived in a house on the river, read Bijou."

"With his mother, father, and little sister Samiku along with his grandparents work in the family business of farming."

Liz: This is a cool story so far.

Henrietta: Yes, keep reading Bijou.

Bijou: One morning as Hamura was getting water from the well, he thought he saw someone by the cherry orchard. When he went over, he noticed the cherry blossoms flying and swaying in the wind. He noticed a little boy playing in the blossoms.

Henrietta: This is getting really good.

Just as Bijou was about to read further, she looked from her book to see Jonas who preferred to be called Jo walked up.

Jo: Hamha everyone!

Liz: Brother, you're late again.

Jo: I'm sorry I got distracted again. There was a camera I had to buy.

Jo shows the camera to everyone, it was pretty old fashioned like the kind newspaper reporters used but it was in super great condition.

Liz: It's very nice but we had planned to meet to hear Bijou read today and she's already started.

Bijou: its okay Liz I can start over we didn't get that far anyway.

Liz: Ok.

Henrietta: Let's just enjoy ourselves today, there's no need to fight. Go on Bijou.

Bijou: Ok.

Bijou turns back to the first page and begins the story again the flashback ends to see the picture inside Henrietta's pendant with Henrietta nervous about meeting one of Bijou's new friends.

Maruko: I'm right here if you need but I think you need to talk to him alone.

Henrietta: Ok.

As Maruko went out back, Henrietta went to the breakfast nook with a brave face. She looked in from the hall and said-

Henrietta: Hello. Are you still here?

"Yes I am said Boss from the other side of the room."

Henrietta came out looking very shy and timid.

Boss: Are you Henrietta?

Henrietta: Yes I am. I understand you've been looking for me? Are you one of Bijou's friends from her new neighborhood?

Boss: Yes I'm Boss, I'm so glad I finally found you. I came to take you back with me so you can visit Bijou.

Henrietta: You mean I'd see Bijou again?

Boss: Yes, I want to bring you over to her new house and you can be reacquainted. They don't know I'm here and I've traveled all this way to find you so I want to leave as soon possible.

Henrietta: Oh, I want to go with you; I so much want to see Bijou again. But-

Things got silent for awhile both Boss and or Henrietta couldn't say a word. Then Henrietta mumbled-

I don't think Bijou wants to see me. When I herd she was moving I was so sad, so sad in fact I couldn't say goodbye. I sent her a letter but it wasn't the same as giving her a proper goodbye.

Boss: Bijou still thinks about you, and she misses you as much as you miss her. After all, you grew up together, please change your mind.

Henrietta thought about what it and after a couple of minutes she looked up from her pendant and said-

Henrietta: Ok just show me the way!

Boss: Thank you this means a lot to me and Bijou too.

Henrietta and Boss went to her house and packed up her stuff for the trip to Bijou's.

Henrietta: So what's it like where you from?

Boss: Sometimes quiet, sometimes active pretty much always interesting. In addition, we all hang out in a clubhouse we built at my house; you're welcome to stay there while you're visiting.

Henrietta: That's so nice of you but you already been nice enough already traveling all this way from your homeland just to invite me to your home and to see Bijou again, I wouldn't want to impose.

Boss: You wouldn't be I could use the company, besides it would mean a lot to Bijou if you stayed a few days.

Henrietta: In that case, I'd better pack my weekly things.

While Henrietta made some room in her suitcase Boss's stomach began to rumble.

Boss: I guess all that rowing and walking got me hungry again.

Henrietta: Oh, there's a restaurant across the street from here you go and eat I can finish up. Order what you like and tell them to put it on my tab.

Boss: I really couldn't.

Henrietta: Now this time I insist you'll want your strength back for the trip back to your homeland so get going.

Therefore, while Henrietta finished packing Boss went out to the front porch and sat in the rocking chair still finding it hard to believe he found who he was looking for.

(Thinking) Boss: I can't believe it I finally found Henrietta so why do I feel so rotten?

Probably no I'm sure it's because I didn't tell the hams I was coming here. I did it so no one would be disappointed if I didn't find her but I now think more harm then good. What if something happened to them when I wasn't there?

No, I can't start thinking like that. I'm sure there fine somehow.

Chapter 17 Boss is found!! Bijou's mysterious rage

Meanwhile Bijou and friends row as hard as they can in the crowded canoe.

All except Penelope: Grooba, grooba, grooba, grooba.

Penelope rowed too thought she wasn't as strong as the others she worked just as hard.

Penelope: Ookwee! Ookwee! Ookwee!

T.W: At this rate will never make it in time, luckily I have an idea.

T.W put down his ore for a moment and rooted through his backpack.

Hamtaro: T.W why'd you stop rowing, are you tired?

T.W: Yes actually but that's not why I thought something that'll help us.

After rooting around for awhile, T.W pulled put what looked like a mini- waterwheel.

Hamtaro: Is this another one of those magic items of yours?

T.W: Actually no but it will help us just the same, this is the mini- waterwheel jack.

All except Penelope: The mini-waterwheel jack?!

Penelope: Ookwee?

T.W: We can use this to power up our little canoe here into a motorboat. We install it to the back of the boat with some nails, then we wind it up when it unwinds it will create a super fast current sending us to the village in a shot.

Only problem is to someone will have to go to the back of the boat and install it. The only way to do that is to install it underwater in the back of the boat

Sandy: Like that's a drag none of us can swim.

T.W: Then I'll go, Panda can I borrow your tools?

Panda: Well sure but-

T.W: Then hurry we don't have much time!

Panda handed T.W his tools and stood on the edge of the canoe.

Hamtaro: T.W you can't risk it hamsters can't swim!

T.W just stared at him with unnerving confidence and said-

T.W: Well I can!

Hamtaro: Huh!

Before another word was said, T.W dived in surprising everyone.

Hamtaro: T.W!

Hakeru: I won't let you do this alone, I'm going in too!

Everyone grabbed onto Hakeru before she dove in too.

Hakeru: Let me go we can't just let him drown!

Rami: There's nothing we can do now we'll just have to see if he can survive.

Hakeru began to struggle harder and harder but the hams would loosen there grip on her.

Meanwhile T.W swam up the stern of the canoe and with a few hammers of a nail, he installed the waterwheel jack.

T.W: Yes perfectly installed.

However, just then he was winding it to start it up he hit his head on a big rock passing out. Luckily, the jack began to unwind and the canoe began to move.

Hamtaro: Hey, wait a minute everyone the canoe's moving by itself.

Rami: Then T.W must've successfully installed the waterwheel.

Everyone was relieved that T.W was successful and we're waiting for him to resurface and he didn't.

Hamtaro: Why isn't T.W resurfacing?

Bijou: I hope nothing-

Just then, when they were passing the rock T.W hit they saw him resurface lying passed out on a rock.

Pashmina: There he is over there!

Hakeru: Oh no! We have to stop this boat!

Sondra: How can we?

Hakeru went into T.W's backpack and pulled out the magic umbrella.

Hamtaro: Hakeru you can't it's too dangerous, besides only T.W can make the umbrella work.

Hakeru: I know that's why I'm going to jump over.

Hamtaro: What you can't be serious!

Hakeru: I've never been more serious, Sandy, give me a boost.

Sandy: But-

Hakeru: Hurry we don't have much time!

Sandy: All right then you got it!

Sandy stood at the edge of the boat ready to boost her. Hakeru came charging down the canoe with such force she nearly flipped the boat over.

Hakeru: I have to try; we can't just leave him there!

Hakeru hopped onto Sandy's paws and gave a strong boost off the boat.

Hamtaro: No Hakeru!

She did 2 flips and dove for the rock and luckily latched onto it just inches away from the water.

Sandy: Look guys she made it!

Everyone saw that Hakeru made it safely to T.W.

Pashmina: That's good but we still have a problem, how do we stop this boat?

Panda: I know how, we can anchor our canoe to a stop.

Hamtaro: But how?

Panda: I remember T.W having some rope in his backpack and I brought my steel hammer that'll be heavy enough to stop this boat.

Panda got the rope from T.W's backpack and his steel hammer tied them together and flung it in the water stopping the boat in its tracks.

Hakeru put the umbrella down and propped T.W's body up.

Hakeru Get up! I won't let you go like this! I won't!

Hakeru streamed tears of pain and concern drip from her face onto T.W's body. Amazingly, the tears seemed to revitalize him and he came to.

T.W Cough, cough. What happened?

Hakeru: T.W

T.W: I remember now I hit my head on this rock while I was underwater and I washed up here

"T.W! Exclaimed Hakeru all teary eyed."

T.W: Hakeru how did you get to me?

Hakeru: Never mind that now can you get us back?

T.W then noticed Hakeru brought the magic umbrella. He stood up a little wobbly but he'll be okay.

T.W: I'll try grab on!

Hakeru latched onto to T.W as he extended the umbrella carrying them both up in the air. They floated over to the canoe and landed safely inside. Panda to the steel hammer out and the where on there way again.

T.W: Umbrella, retract.

The umbrella shrunk to its normal size and T.W returned it to the backpack.

Bijou: Are you two all right?

Hakeru: Yep we'll be fine.

Hamtaro: That was amazing T.W how did you learn to swim like that?

T.W: It all started when I was a little kid back in Detroit.

Flashback to T.W as a little kid

Like all hamsters, I couldn't swim but was terrified of the water very much so even by hamster standards. One day I told myself "If I teach myself to swim I'll get over my fear."

Therefore, I practiced in the bathtub, then I moved to a wading pool, and finally I was ready to try the real thing. Most folks thought I was crazy but they watched me expecting to mess up but I didn't care I just shook up my fur and dove right in.

Everyone was shocked especially my mom and grandma seeing me swim across the pond. I was the town celebrity if not for a week. Soon the city started the first swimming academy for hamsters and I was one of the instructors.

End of flashback

Cappy: Wow, what a cool story.

T.W: It was all true. Now Hakeru how did you get to me?

Hakeru: I jumped. I never told you guys this but I've been training in the ways of the samurai swordsman. In my training, I gained super fast reflexes, which allowed me to jump that far.

T.W: Impressive you know you're pretty amazing.

Hakeru: So are you.

Rami: I hate to break up this tender moment but were almost there.

Everyone turned to see the tunnel with the sign that said-

"Enter this tunnel to reach Soroto Village!"

Rami: This is the entrance to the village.

Bijou: Good, then soon this nightmare will all be over.

As they enter, the tunnel there was a sigh of relief among everyone that soon they would all be together again.

Meanwhile after contemplating his thoughts awhile and his rumbling stomach causing him to lose his concentration Boss walks across the street the restaurant Henrietta mentioned.

Over the restaurant door was a beautifully painted sign that read-

        "The Sunflower Garden"
        (Family is our # 1 promise)

Boss: This must be the place.

Boss went through the swinging door to see a busy looking establishment with some great looking food. He at a nice table by the front window of the restaurant and picked up his menu.

As he looked through the menu, he realized how much his missed T.W's home cooking.

Boss: Let's see there's the fruit salsa with home fried potato chips, or there's the trout fried rice with soy sauce and sake.

Then a waiter came over to take Boss's order.

Waiter: Welcome to the sunflower garden were family is our # 1 priority, can I tale your order?

Boss: Yes, I'll have the trout fired rice and make the sake a double put it on Henrietta's tab.

Waiter: Of course sir.

After the waiter had left Boss looks out the window and into the blue sky above and an image of Bijou is affixed in his mind.

(Thinking) Boss: Oh Bijou I hope you'll forgive me. I should've told everyone were I was going right from the start. I hope you're happy and safe wherever you are.

Meanwhile the others had docked and everyone was exploring around the beach.

Rami: Well this is it, Soroto Village.

Sondra: It's even prettier then when I last saw it.

Rami: That's probably because we've spent all month giving it a face lift. We planted trees, seeds, and flowers all around the countryside. In addition, we added a few more shops to boost business and employment.

While Sondra and Rami talked for awhile, the hams explored the area.

T.W: Atata! I don't believe it!

T.W found some amazing cooking herbs

T.W: Basil, oregano, rosemary, and thyme! I've never seen some many fresh wild herbs in a long time.

Rami: Oh yes we get all our herbs here the some of the best quality.

T.W: Would anyone mind if I picked some?

Rami: Not at all, there's enough to go around.

T.W: All right then, let's get picking!

While T.W found himself in herb heaven Oxnard found himself in a large berry patch.

Oxnard: I wish I had a basket, oh well I'll just help myself.

Oxnard began gobbling one after another there taste was so wonderful he couldn't stop.

Meanwhile Sandy and Hakeru were lying down on a hilltop watching the clouds go by.

Sandy: You know sometimes you just don't want to do anything but just stare at the clouds.

Hakeru: Yeah I know what you mean sometimes you just have to kick back.

Sandy: So where did you learn that samurai stuff?

Hakeru: I've self taught myself through books and manuals. One time Hakeru took me to a martial arts tournament and I watched every move, every attack, and every defensive maneuver that the ring displayed.

Sandy: You think you could teach me I think it my help my routine.

Hakeru: Sure, it makes sense as the movements in fighting and swordplay have ties to dance and gymnastics I've always found a way to link my samurai training to dance.

Sandy: I'm beginning to see what you mean, you know T.W's right you're pretty amazing.

Hakeru: You're not so bad yourself Sandy, though that brother of yours-

She ten points to Stan who's flirting with the local beach crowd, some guy, some you know.

Hakeru: Has he always been an over sexed low-down snake in the grass playboy?

Sandy: Well, yes and no.

Hakeru: How do you mean?

Sandy: I mean sure sometimes he can be a real pain but sometimes he can also be pretty cool. Don't tell him I said this but he really did like you he just has trouble with commitment.

Stan had noticed Sandy and Hakeru talking and after saying goodbye to the beach crowd, he walked over to them. He was really nervous around Hakeru.

Stan: Uh hey sis, Hakeru.

Hakeru: Hey Stan what's up?

Stan: Well I heard you guys talking and I thought there's something I had to say. I'm really sorry I didn't tell you that other side to me. It's just I really like you and I thought if you knew it would destroy our friendship.

Hakeru was somewhat shocked that those words came form Stan, Sandy was speechless.

Hakeru: I never knew there was this side to you Stan, and I find it really sweet.

Stan just blush and stammered, he then said goodbye and walked to the far end of the beach so no one see him blush.

Sandy: Well who saw that coming?

Hakeru: I sure didn't

They then laughed and continued to talk about whatever. Meanwhile Oxnard was munching away when T.W came by with a basket of fresh herbs in one hand and an empty basket on the other.

Oxnard was feeling a little queasy after eating a whole bush full of berries.

T.W: Oxnard you silly one why didn't you use a basket?

Oxnard: I didn't bring one with me, who've thought we go to a village along the river with the best tasting berries I've ever tasted.

T.W: Well here's a basket you use it, and after the others finished exploring we're going into town. Rami told me there general store will let you vacuum save what you pick and/or bought for only 3 sunflower seeds and that's an offer I gotta take advantage of.

While Oxnard picked some berries and T.W was looking through his photo album, Pashmina and Penelope were collecting seashells.

Pashmina found two beautiful shells that looked nearly identical.

Pashmina: These are so beautiful Penelope I think I'll make them into earrings.

Penelope: Ookwee!

You'd probably think this is Howdy and Dexter come in but they decided to let that go awhile.

In fact, they were sound asleep under the shady foliage of an old Magnolia tree. Of course, they were dreaming about you-know-who and how to win her heart.

Lastly, we see Hamtaro and Bijou walking down the coastline talking about well-

Hamtaro: Well this is it Bijou, I'm sure Boss is here I can somehow feel it.

Bijou: Me too, I can't wait for this day to be over.

Hamtaro: I know it's been rough for you but while there has been a lot of pain and confusion there's also been a lot more changes.

Some good, some not so good but think of it this way by coming here out of usual routines at home we've expressed more about ourselves then we have before and this just proved how strong our friendships with each other really are.

Bijou looked down at the sand knowing Hamtaro was right, but was still sad and that sadness turned into anger.

Hamtaro: Now we've known Boss a long time and while it's been hard at times for the most part he's been a good friend to all of us. I hate seeing you angry or sad like this.

Bijou didn't say anything and turned away from Hamtaro and looked even more dismal. Hamtaro then grabbed Bijou by the hand and she turned around to see tears streaming from his eyes.

Hamtaro: Bijou I don't know why you're so sad but it doesn't matter. Whatever it is it's making me sad too, I really can't stand seeing you this way.

As the tears continued to pour from his eyes Bijou began to realize her sadness and anger was alienating her. Therefore, she took off one of her ribbons and wiped away Hamtaro's tears.

Hamtaro: Bijou.

Bijou: You're right Hamtaro I've been like this way too long. It's just I was so mad at Boss for putting us through this, the fact that T.W and Hakeru risked their very lives for us just angers me so much.

Hamtaro: I know so why do we go find Boss now it's time you let him know how you feel.

Bijou looked at Hamtaro who now stopped crying and was looking like the innocent fun-loving persona she remembered. She had never saw Hamtaro cry before it was like seeing him for the first time.

She then looked him straight in the eye putting the ribbon in her hair.

Bijou: Merci Hamtaro you're right I have to let my feelings out and tell Boss how I feel.

I want you to know you've really kept my spirits up through all this and that in a way out of all our adventures I like this one the best of all, thank you.

She then leans in and gives him a kiss on the cheek, Hamtaro blushed a little while he held her paw as they looked out on the water to see water lilies floating along. One floated up to them Hamtaro picked it up and pulled the lily out and fixed it in her hair.

Bijou then began to blush and they stood there together for awhile feeling better about everything.

T.W: Hey you guys! We're going to town now.

After standing there a few minutes more they soon catch up to the others and entered to town.

Meanwhile Boss had 3 helpings of the Trout fried rice and 4 glasses of sake. He was full and a little woozy; as he looked out the window, he thought he saw a saucepan walked by.

Boss: What? When do saucepans walk around?

Boss wondered if that was Cappy.

Boss: Nah! It couldn't have been.

He continued eating the last if his third helping while the walking saucepan who was indeed Cappy looked at the window again to see a familiar face.

Cappy: I don't believe it. Hey you guys over here!

Everyone rushed over to see what was up.

Hamtaro: What is it Cappy?

Cappy: See for yourself.

Everyone looked through the restaurant window to see a tall and gruff figure they all knew.

Everybody except Penelope: It is its Boss!

Penelope: Ookwee!

Boss didn't notice as he was so woozy he thought all he saw were illusions. The hams went inside the restaurant and walked over to Boss's table.

At first Boss thought, he was seeing things but his vision cleared up a little to see a large group of familiar hamsters gave him a well needed surprise.

(Sill woozy) Boss: Ham, hams?

Hamtaro: Yes Boss it's us.

Soon everyone was crying tears of joy and they all ran to each other hugging, and laughing glad there were together again.

Boss: It's so good to see you all again but how did you get here? How did you find me?

T.W: How else through teamwork, trust, and the fact you left you left your to-do list at the airport which somehow found it's way to Elder ham who gave it to me and the rest is history. Oh and Asura gave us a lift here.

Boss: T.W you're still the chatterbox I see?

T.W: Yep and you, have gotten a lot more buff.

Boss: That's what a good workout does for you, you should try it sometime.

T.W: Why you-

They just gave each other looks for awhile and then they gave faint smiles and winked at each other.

Cappy: I'm so glad we're all together again.

Boss: So am I Cappy, for awhile I was wondering what you all were doing I felt bad about leaving without telling anyone. I'm sorry I worried you all can we still be friends?

Hakeru: Of course, we can right guys?

Everyone nodded they knew this couldn't tear them apart. Then Boss noticed Bijou huddled up in a corner. He walks over and sits down beside her.

Boss: You're the angriest with me aren't you?

Bijou didn't say anything but nodded in answer to his question.

Boss: I didn't mean to hurt you like this Bijou. At first I wanted to come here and find Henrietta so you could be happy I realized that alongside that I wanted to make myself stronger and not just physically. I wanted you to like me more.

Bijou then unbilled herself and Boss began flare up blushing as she looked toward him.

Before I met you, nothing kept my life very full in the sense I had no idea what love was. Not long after that, I met Hamtaro and Oxnard I'll never forget the day they came falling from the surface into my tunnels.

Soon after that, I met even more hamsters I knew in my life and it felt like I had a family of my own.

I want you to be apart of that family Bijou.

Just then, Henrietta entered the restaurant with suitcase in hand all ready to go.

Henrietta: Okay Boss I'm ready to go.

She saw this large group of hamsters and saw Boss next to a familiar hamster.

Bijou thinking she recognized that voice turned to see a hamster with a suitcase and a pendant.

Henrietta: Bijou?

Bijou: Henrietta?

The two run to each other and hug.

Henrietta: Oh Bijou I'm so sorry I didn't say goodbye face to face but I'm really glad you're here!

Bijou: its okay I'm just glad to see you again!

Everyone got quite emotional especially Boss, very happy to see them reunited.

Henrietta: I thought you told me Bijou didn't know you were here?

Boss: She didn't or at least that's what I thought.

Henrietta: Well I'm just glad to see you again.

Bijou: Same here, anyway I want you to meet my friends.

Soon everyone was acquainted with each other and they all went back to Henrietta's house. Everyone was given some refreshments and they had a nice chat of there adventures here.

Soon after everyone returned to Henrietta's house and were settled into the living room and were chatting happily. The doorbell rang and found it was Jonas and Liz from the hotel, Henrietta quickly invited them in and things really got interesting.


Henrietta: You know Bijou I didn't think we'd meet again after all this time. Liz and Jo I never thought we'd meet again either.

Bijou: What happened to all of you?

Henrietta: 3 months after you moved Liz and Jo decided to go to cooking school to fulfill their dream to work at the conference.

Liz: It was a hard decision but it was what we had to do.

Jo: We graduated as soon as we could so we could return home and be together again.

Henrietta: I remember the day we all got together each Saturday when we were young, and Bijou would read to us the latest stories. One in particular was the peasant angel.

Bijou: I remember that day.

As they explain further we flashback 2 years ago to see Bijou finishing the peasant angel.

"From that day on the young peasant boy and his family lived on there farm in financial peace and prosperity read bijou as she closed the book and put it beside the tree."

Liz: That was the best story yet.

Jo: An amazing tale and amazing reading as always Bijou.

Bijou: Thanks Jo, you certainly know how to complement a girl

We briefly fade to the present to find Boss cringing his teeth.

Bijou: Is something wrong Boss?

Henrietta: If you have something in your teeth your welcome to my washroom.

Boss: Oh, it's nothing really, go on Bijou.

Bijou: Ok as I was saying after the story, it was late in the afternoon and we decided to go to the playground.

We flashback again to see are younger companions at the playground. Jo was in the sandbox napping, while Henrietta and Liz went up and down on the seesaw. Bijou sat a top a nearby hill seeming very sad.

After the others had noticed, Bijou's sadness upon the hillside they run over to see what was troubling her.

Henrietta: Is something wrong Bijou?

Bijou: Well not wrong but there is something I have to tell you.

Liz: Well what is it?

Bijou turned to her friends with a dazed look on her face, her friends knew it was bad news.

Bijou: I overheard Maria's mom on the phone and it looks like Maria and I are moving.

Henrietta: Moving? To where?

Bijou: I don't know yet, all I know is were leaving in a couple of months.

Jo: Is the move permanent?

Bijou: I think it might be.

Everyone was sad to hear of Bijou's leaving no one knew what to say. Henrietta was more saddened than anyone she opened her pendant, which during that time did not have a picture in it, her head hanging low not knowing what to say.

Jo: I know this is depressing news but I think especially since Bijou's leaving soon, we should take a picture together. I did bring a camera.

Everyone agreed that was a good idea so everyone got in close for a group picture. Jo set the timer and joined the others they all smiled and with a flash of smoke, the picture was snapped.

Liz: That was a great shot, I'm sorry I got hostile with you Jo in light of recent news I'm glad you got that camera.

Henrietta: Yeah Jo I'm glad got it.

Jo: Oh, stop it!

Henrietta: Bijou do you think we could take another picture but just the two of us, to put in my pendant.

Bijou: Sure.

Henrietta: You guys don't mind do you?

Liz: Of course, not go right ahead.

(Tinkering with the camera) Jo: Let me just reset the timer. Ok get in position.

The two friends stood aside one another and smiled ounce again the camera snapped the photo.

We fast forward to a few weeks later to the day before Bijou left. Henrietta began her goodbye letter as she just couldn't say goodbye face to face.

As the past, Henrietta was writing in her room the present Henrietta was narrating.

(Narrating) Henrietta: Soon after that picture was taken, it was the last time I saw you. You spent the rest of that period packing. I couldn't bear to see you leave so I wrote you that letter

Flash back to the present.

Henrietta: Soon after you left so did, Liz and Jo went off to school. However, I'm glad all of us are together again.

Liz and Jo: Us too!

Hamtaro: Then this was all worth it wasn't it Bijou?

Bijou: Yes Hamtaro it was. I hope you guys don't mind but I need to speak to Boss alone.

Henrietta: Sure will just be in the kitchen.

T.W: Yeah just, holler if you need us, now Liz you and Jonas have been to Le Cordon Bleu. Why don't we have a little cook-off for our friends?

So everyone else left for the kitchen cook-off leaving Boss and Bijou in the parlor knowing each other had a lot to say.

Boss: So what did you want to talk about?

Bijou: About the danger, you put us in.

Boss: What do you mean?

Bijou: Not only were we worried something happened to you, when Asura brought us here he was so weak from flying non-stop. If we had flown any longer, we would have crashed!

Boss began to step away from Bijou as she slinked closer.

Bijou: And when we finally found a lead in finding you, we had to take what looked to be a harmless canoe ride into a fight for our lives. Afraid we'd miss you T.W risked the wavy waters and nearly drowned just so we could be here!

Boss: Well I-

Bijou: Than Hakeru ended up saving him and above anything, I was the most worried of all. You know seeing Henrietta again was a one of the happiest moments of my life and I thank you for that, but it wasn't nearly worth the thoughts of pain that went through my mind.

The back stepping and slinky marching continued until Boss hit the wall. Bijou's expression was flushed as tears were streaming through her eyes.

Boss: Bijou I didn't all of this to happen, I did this because I really like you.

Bijou backed up to the center of the room, hiding her tears and masking her feelings in silence.

Boss: I'm really sorry Bijou; I never should've left without telling you, without telling anyone. I was afraid if told you I would get your hopes up if we didn't find her. You seemed so sad, so alone more saddened then I've ever saw you.

Bijou raised her head from facing the floor looking into Boss's eyes seeing that Boss was only trying to cheer her up.

Boss: I hope you and the others will forgive me.

Everyone was at first thinking of the cook-off; they couldn't help but hear Boss and Bijou in the other room.

Boss walked up to Bijou, teary eyed and holding his hat to his heart.

Boss: Bijou I like you I really like you,

Bijou revealed her eyes in anger as if she could burst.

Bijou: You like me!

She raised her paw in the air and slapped him clear across his face. Boss was surprised but knew he deserved it.

Bijou: I just don't see how, you could put me through this then tell me you like me. I knew you liked me but I didn't know how to say-

Bijou just couldn't muster up the courage to tell Boss she didn't love him she felt that she had said all she could and quietly left the room. The others saw what happened from the kitchen not knowing what to think.

Hamtaro: I didn't know Bijou was that angry?

T.W: I think we did Hamtaro, we just wished it wouldn't come to this.

Hakeru: Isn't there anything we can do?

Howdy: It sure doesn't look it.

Everyone re-entered the parlor not knowing if they should anything. T.W then walked over to Boss who was hanging his head in shame.

T.W: You know she can't stay mad forever, I didn't remember?

Boss did remember the infamous yogurt incident, thought looking back on it now it was a funny experience and cheered him up a little.

T.W: You know I feel awkward telling you this but in spirit, anyway you're my father, and I feel right along with you. This has been a rough time for us so why don't we sleep on it.

Hamtaro: Good idea T.W

Henrietta: I'm going to see if Bijou's alright.

While everyone else gets ready for bed, Henrietta finds Bijou on the porch steps of her house with her head between her feet crying her eyes out.

Henrietta: Bijou?

Bijou quickly raised her head whisking the tears from her face yelling-

Bijou: Boss I don't want to talk right now!

She turned to notice it was Henrietta.

Bijou: Oh, I'm sorry Henrietta I thought you were Boss.

Henrietta: Well I'm glad I'm not right now, because you seem really mad at him.

Bijou: I am and with good reason because of his secrecy we were nearly-

Henrietta: But you're not your all here with me and I'm glad. You know that guy must think the world of you to go through all this just so we could be together again and I thought you were happy to see me as I you?

Bijou: It's not you I am glad I saw you again and you're coming to visit.

Henrietta: And if it weren't for your little admirer in there, we wouldn't be here.

Henrietta then took a handkerchief from her hat and gave to Bijou to wipe her tears away.

Henrietta: Sondra told me that the moment she met Boss he had something he wanted to say, bringing us together is probably one of the many ways he's tried to say he liked you. I would hold on to him guys like that only come along so often, probably ounce in a blue harvest moon.

Bijou: You're right I suppose but I already found someone I like.

Henrietta: I take it it's not Boss?

Bijou: No, I feel I can tell you as were friends but I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone else.

Henrietta: Sure girlfriend now dish!

It was a reddish moonlit night and Bijou was sitting out on the porch of Henrietta's house ready to admit what she knew all along.

Bijou: I think I like Hamtaro.

Henrietta: Hamtaro, you mean the orange one?

Bijou: Yeah, we've known each other for quite some time now, through a whole thing he's been there for me trying to keep my spirits up.

Henrietta: Have you told him yet?

Bijou: I've wanted too but-

Henrietta: But what?

Bijou: It's Boss he has this thing for me and I don't know how to let him down easy.

Henrietta: I knew that guy had his eye on you! So why don't you like him? He's strong, sweet, and a little gruff on the edges but he's a nice guy.

Bijou: I guess so but I just don't like him that way. I wish I didn't have to tell him but if I don't he'll continue to strain himself trying to impress me.

Meanwhile everyone else was in the bunkhouse out back getting ready for bed. Well everyone except Boss he was still disheartened of what Bijou said

We flashback to a little while ago

Bijou: You like me!

(Slaps him)

Bijou: I just don't see how, you could put me through this then tell me you like me. I knew you liked me but I didn't know how to say-

End of flashback

(Thinking) Boss: How to say what? Oh Bijou, will you stay mad at me forever?

Boss just sat at the desk feeling very alone. After awhile everyone had gone to sleep except for Boss for he was crying on the desk, tears streams smeared along the desk.

T.W woke to hear Boss crying and after scraping the sand from his eyes, he slipped out of bed and walked over to him.

T.W: Boss, are you okay?

Boss didn't hear him and continued to cry.

"Boss said T.W as he put his paw on his shoulder."

Boss looked up from the desk to see T.W looking at his tear stained face. Boss quickly turned away not wanting T.W to see him vulnerable.

Boss: Shouldn't you be in bed?

T.W: I was but I couldn't help hearing your tears. I know you find this hard to believe but I understand how you feel.

Boss: How could you?

T.W: When I was younger, I was in love, with a very beautiful girl. However, not just her outer beauty but her string inner beauty as well. As I told you before her name is Cocolette and I was all mushy for her.

Like you, I stuttered around her feeling inadequate but one day I told her how I felt just as you did today. Though unlike you I didn't get slapped but her father forbade me to see her, Boss someone who hated my guts told me it was over.

It should've been her was I not good enough a person to deserve so much as a farewell. Maybe Bijou doesn't know how to tell you farewell.

Boss: You don't think she likes me?

T.W: I just think you're a whole lot luckier than me.

Boss thought of what he'd said to notice he was about to cry.

T.W was all teary eyed and just ran up to Boss and Gave him a hug, tightly clinging to his moist, tears-soaked body.

T.W: Oh, daddy that was so painful for me but I didn't stop trying to be happy! I know Bijou is mad but she's still your friend so cheer up daddy PLEASE CHEER UP!

Tears were now streaming from his eyes feeling so low. Boss couldn't help but snuggle him tight it was like an instinct took over.

Boss: its ok T, you don't have to cry anymore I'll be alright, we'll be alright.

Boss looked at T.W seeing him scared and vulnerable like that made him think.

(Thinking) Boss: I can't believe he called my "daddy�. I guess were more alike then we tried to admit.

Boss then carried him back to bed and tucked him in.

Boss: You know I wish sometimes I could be more like you, calm, serine, sometimes I wish you were my son.

Boss tucked him in tight and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Boss: Good night kiddo.

Soon after that, he drifted off to dreamland himself. The next morning everyone sat down at the dining room table for breakfast.

All except for T.W, Liz, and Jonas who were in the kitchen starting the cook-off that was postponed yesterday.


Boss and Bijou sat at the chair next to each other but could bring themselves to say a word to each other. The other hams knew today might be awkward for them but they tried to stay positive.

Henrietta: So you do you all really have to leave I'd to have you over a few weeks more since you came all this way.

Hamtaro: That's very nice of you but we have to be home by tomorrow.

Henrietta: I understand well Bijou is it still alright; I stay at your place when I come to visit?

Bijou had been looking at Boss not knowing how to say what she needed to say almost not hearing what Henrietta said.

Bijou: What? Oh sure I'd like that.

Cappy: Hey, you guys are you done with breakfast yet I'm starving!

Then T.W came out looking soiled with food.

T.W: Nearly Cappy, you have to be patient we'll be done soon, right guys?

Liz opened a wooden screen window that looked like a service window to the dining room.

Liz: Right were nearly done, how are the muffins Jo?

Jo: Nearly at perfection.

Hakeru: Muffins great I hope there not to heavy.

Henrietta then took a plate from the service window and sets it on the table.

Henrietta: While were waiting help yourselves to these.

Everyone stared at the mini-strip rolls with swirls in the middle.

Cappy: What are they?

Henrietta: There snail wraps.

Boss: Snail wraps? I know were in France but I can't eat a snail.

(Chuckles) Henrietta: They aren't real snails silly; it's a sweet bread snack with cream cheese and yogurt filling.

There only called snail wraps because the little swirl of cream cheese on the sides looks like the swirl on a snail shell.

Boss: Oh, well my mistake let's dig in.

Everyone took one and had a bite everyone enjoyed it.

Hamtaro: This is great Henrietta.

Maxwell: Very delectable.

Sandy: Can't you say there delicious?

Maxwell: I did.

Sandy: Whatever If you say so.

Stan: Not bad but it would be better with-

Sandy then covered his mouth before he could utter another word.

Sandy: Please bro not at the table.

(Stan then pushed her hand away) Stan: I was going to say it would be better with some sugar on top.

Sandy: Sorry I thought-

Stan; Please even I don't talk of these things at mealtimes. (Thinking) though sugar in the shape of a kiss wouldn't be so bad (snickers).

Cappy: They're good but is breakfast ready now?

Soon the three chefs emerged rolling a cart to see a smorgasbord of breakfast delights before them.

Liz: I think we've achieved a new plateau of perfection.

Jonas: I agree.

T.W: This is meal fit for a royal ham court.

After setting the platters out they were ready to display there work.

(Lifting the lids to reveal the dishes inside) T.W: Surprise!

Liz: We hope you like it.

Jonas: We've been up for ages getting this ready.

T.W: Our breakfast menu includes-

Mini-Belgium waffles with cream cheese filling, Toast with strawberry, grape, blueberry, blackberry, and Raspberry jam, and Peanut butter for Hakeru.

Hakeru: Thanks.

Jo: We also have tuna steaks in a rich fruit sauce, Grapefruit peeled and cut into sections, Rice balls both plain and chocolate covered Apples, grapes, and Honeydew melon.

Liz: Lastly, we have muffins in 10 different varieties-

Cinnamon-Apple

Banana

Banana-nut

Banana-oatmeal

Blueberry

Bran

Chocolate chip

Cranberry

Oatmeal-raisin

And Zucchini

Jonas: We call it-

T.W, Liz, and Jonas: The super sunrise breakfast!

The Hams awed over the tantalizing spread and couldn't wait to dig in.

Hamtaro: You guys outdid yourselves this looks great!

Boss: I'd put another notch in my belt If I wore a belt.

Henrietta: Well as Beautiful, it is it was meant for eating so let's eat!

After thanking the three chefs for preparing the feast and saying there grace they began to feast away.

Hamtaro: Oh! This is really great!

Hakeru: The muffins are so dense and moist, they're just right.

Bijou: I've never had fruit so sweet.

Dexter: I just love this Grapefruit; can you pass the sugar Howdy?

Howdy: Certainly, (whispers in Dexter's ears) when you stop going after Pashmina.

(Whispers) Dexter: Do you want to get verbally whip lashed by the temporally challenge duo of Boss and T.W

Howdy then looks over to see Boss munching away and T.W relaxing from the stress of the kitchen quietly enjoying the fruits of his labor.

Howdy: I guess you're right, they're quiet now, but they'll turn on you.

Then Howdy simply passed the sugar and the two said nothing more to each other.

T.W: So what do you guys think are mine better?

Liz: Or mine?

Jonas: Or mine?

The hams had tried a little of everyone's version but simply couldn't decide as they were all equally good.

All: It's a tie!

Penelope: Ookwee!

T.W: Then I guess we all won!

Liz: That's cool I just had fun!

Jonas: We should do it again sometime.

T.W: Why don't you come back with us just for a visit, you can stay at my place.

Liz: Sure, that sounds great.

Jonas: We can pack later today.

Oxnard: You know since this is our last day here let's do something fun.

Hamtaro: Like what?

Oxnard: Maybe we can- No that's no good. Well I'm not sure, anyone got any ideas?

As everyone was wondering, what they'd do there was a knock on the door.

Henrietta: I'll get it!

Henrietta walked through the hall to the door. She opened the door to reveal the newspaper boy.

Henrietta: Hello Erin, no bike today?

Erin: Still in the shop, just as well my mom says it's for the best for my lack of a physique.

Henrietta: Good luck.

Erin: Thanks, anyway here's your paper.

(Hands her the paper) Henrietta: Thanks Erin.

Erin: No thanks necessary, it's my job.

As Erin slowly walked away, Henrietta looked through the paper and found an interesting article. She ran back inside closing the door behind her beaming with excitement.

Meanwhile the hams were cleaning off there faces as Henrietta ran into the room.

Henrietta: You guys I just got an idea of what we can do.

Everyone looked right at her as she said-

Henrietta: We can go to the Ham-Ham Arcade!

All: The Ham-Ham Arcade?!

Henrietta: Yeah it's one of the biggest events of the year. It's traveling carnival that comes by France 2 times a year.

It's kind of like that Ham-Ham Fun Park you told me about only a whole lot bigger, with more rides, plays, and food.

Oxnard: Food you say? I'm game what do you guys think?

Boss: its sounds like many hamsters will be there and well who needs the noisy lines and overcrowded snack stands. Maybe we could take in a show?

Bijou: I think it would be fun; it might even clear up a few things.

Boss: Oh, you say? (Thinking) Oh great just great I'm acting like an old fuddy duddy. Emphasizing on the old part. Maybe she's not mad at me anymore.

Bijou: Boss?

Boss: Oh? Uh yeah sure!

Maxwell: It sounds intriguing I think we should make our last day here a pleasurable experience.

Sandy: Totally and after looking through this article sounds fun. There's even a gymnastics meet and I totally want to enter

Cappy: They have some really cool hats you can win and things you can put on you hats.

Pashmina: I'd love to take a ride on the story spyglass.

Penelope points to a cute little doll in the paper.

Penelope: Ookwee! Ookwee!

Pashmina: I'll try to win you that doll.

Penelope: The- Than- Ookwee!

Pashmina: Oh, you tried to say thank you you're welcome.

Hamtaro: So we all agreed. Then let's go!

Henrietta: Great just let me clear these dishes and give them a scrub down.

Hamtaro: We'll help you right guys?

Everyone nodded and went to the kitchen, well all except Boss and Bijou. They looked at each other as they cleared away the last of the dishes they knew they had a lot to say.

(As she was stacking the dishes) Bijou: Boss I'm sorry about last night. I shouldn't have gotten so angry but I was just angry with the way things turned out.

Boss: I'm sorry too. I didn't mean for you all to worry about me, or to put you in any danger. I promise from now on we'll this kind of stuff together.

Bijou looked at Boss a moment feeling she could never tell Boss he wasn't for her.

Bijou: Boss I have something I must tell you.

Boss looked right at her making her blush and nearly lose her nerve.

Bijou: I think we should go slowly with this new plateau of our relationship.

Boss: Oh sure Bijou, I'm just glad your not mad anymore. In fact, I got you something.

Boss went over to his backpack and pulled out a fancy decorated box. He opened it to reveal an array of sunflower seed encrusted yogurt drops.

Bijou: Yogurt drops!

Boss: I went out early this morning and got them for you.

Bijou takes one and has a bite.

Bijou: Pack, pack, krump, krump. These are great Boss but you really shouldn't have.

Boss: Nonsense I want to do what I can so we can be friends again. As I said before Bijou I like you, I like you a lot. In fact Bijou I-

This was it no turning back Boss wanted to set his passion free by letting Bijou know the three hardest words to say.

Boss: Bijou I- I love you.

Bijou was stunned of what Boss said whereas Boss felt a weighted bolder lift from his shoulders. After a long time of stuttering and scheming Boss was finally able to tell Bijou, he loved her.

Bijou was freshly plumb out of words to say, She knew she had to tell Boss where she stood on this but she was afraid of Hamtaro who would be in the line of fire of Boss's rage so she decided to wait until after the carnival.

Boss was blushing hard, so hard he took the dishes he stacked and went to the kitchen leaving a nerving Bijou behind.

Bijou: How did you know?

T.W: Quiet observer. Boss'll understand but let's make a plan while you tell Boss we'll get Hamtaro safely out of the line of fire.

Bijou: Your right Boss mustered up the courage to tell me the truth and now I must do the same for him. And tell Hamtaro I-

Hamtaro: Someone call me?

Bijou: Oh, uh Bonjour Hamtaro.

All Bijou could do was enter the kitchen arms filled with dishes not being able to say a thing. Everyone else had nearly finished washing the dishes and themselves.

Hamtaro: Are those the last dishes? I'll take them.

Bijou gave Hamtaro the plates and she went to wash her hands in the sink still not saying a word. Boss was still blushing as he dried the dishes and everyone looked at him puzzled as to what might have happened.

T.W looked at Boss's peaked yet relived expression and then looks Bijou's silent dismal face.

He knew Boss told Bijou he loved her but it was oblivious to T.W anyway that for whatever reason Bijou couldn't tell him the same. For fear if she did someone would get the worst end of the stick.

(Thinking) T.W: Will the hams hams be no more after this day ends?

(While washing) Hamtaro: So what were you two talking about?

Boss looked at Bijou feeling so embarrassed he wanted the hams to share in his happiness as he thought they were now a couple.

Bijou looked at Hamtaro feeling if she couldn't tell Boss how could she tell everyone else especially Hamtaro who she really liked.

(While drying) Boss: Oh, we were just clearing up a few things.

Hamtaro looked at Bijou feeling as though something wasn't right.

Boss then put down the scouring pad and walks over to T.W who has finished washing and polishing all the silverware.

He told him to meet him at the Ham-Ham conference in town later on.

Soon after everyone finished the dishes, they were ready to go. Boss asked Bijou to go by the Ham Ham conference on the way to the arcade. He told everyone else they'd catch up with them soon

T.W and Boss went on ahead down the river on there way to town.

T.W: So what did you want to ask me and were we going? We're supposed to be with the others on our way to the arcade.

Boss: I'm working on a surprise for Bijou but first I have to tell you-

T.W: Yes?

Boss: I finally told her I love her.

(Giggles) T.W: I know.

Boss: You already know? Did she tell you?

T.W: Nope. I could tell from the looks on your faces.

Boss: This is great everything's going the way I planned, Bijou and Henrietta are together again, I told Bijou I love her, I'm on cloud nine!

T.W: So what's this surprise?

Boss: A while ago I tried serenading Bijou but like with the museum lunch thing it was a total failure, but I've been practicing and now I'm going to express my love for Bijou in a private concert just the two of us.

T.W: Then what do you need me for?

Boss: I need you to help me setup. You know set the lighting, prop the stage into place, whip up some light hour d'erves and two champagne glasses filled with Ginger ale, you know set the mood.

(Sarcastically) T.W: Oh? Is that all?

Boss: I can pay you.

T.W: With what?

Boss took out his bag of seeds he earned from his work at the inn.

T.W: Were did you get all those seeds?

Boss: A little after I arrived, in Paris, I started working at this inn and this is what they paid me. Anyway, is 25 a reasonable price?

T.W: It sure is. Please don't get me wrong normally I'd do this for free but the upkeep of the Ham-Ham caf� isn't cheap you know.

Meanwhile everyone had left Henrietta's house and after Rami told his moms his plans and said goodbye they all reached the dock were the canoe was.

Pashmina: If Boss and T.W took the canoe, how will we get to town?

Henrietta: There's a ferry that comes every day that will take us there.

She then points to a sign that reads-

Ferry to the mainland

1st trip 9:30 A.M return to Soroto 12:00 P.M

2nd trip 12:30 P.M return to Soroto 1:30 P.M

3rd trip 2:00 P.M return to Soroto 3:00 P.M

Last trip 4:00 return to Soroto 5:30 P.M

Henrietta: Oh no!

She looks at the town clock a ways away to see a disappointing development.

Henrietta: 4 minutes after 9:30?! We missed the ferry.

Sandy well the next ferry is at 12:30.

Bijou: We'll never have enough time to enjoy the arcade.

Henrietta: Why can't you stay one more day?

Bijou: Our friend Hamtaro's owner Laura comes home from camping tomorrow. If we don't leave, tomorrow Laura will find Hamtaro gone and who knows what might happen.

Henrietta: I understand, maybe some other time.

Bijou: But what about Boss's surprise?

Hakeru: We may not have enough time.

Just then, they saw what looked like a speck in the distance.

Pashmina: Hey look, there's something coming this way.

Bijou: Oh.

As it got closer you could see a propeller, then wings, and lastly after Henrietta got out her spyglass she could a hamster inside the flying machine.

Sandy: What do you see?

Henrietta: It's some guy with an unusual scarf flying a plane.

Everyone soon thought-

Bijou: Let me see!

Henrietta: Sure.

She handed her the spyglass and noticed the words-

H-7 Rouroni

She then noticed the pilot who looked familiar.

Bijou: It's Asura!

(Everyone gasped)

Sondra: Who's Asura?

Bijou: No time to explain we have to get his attention.

Hakeru: T.W gave me this flare for emergencies.

Bijou: Great! Send it up!

Henrietta took a match at lit the fuse. She then tossed it up and it hissed high into the air. It blew up in a beautiful explosion, which Asura noticed and landed near the long line of girls.

Bijou: He's landing, stand back!

The plane soon lands a little ways from the dock, and out stepped Asura well-rested and ready to go.

Asura: I figured I'd find you up here. It's great to see you again!

Bijou: Asura I'm glad we caught you. However, before I go on how have you been? When I saw you, last you could barely move.

Asura: That food T.W left gave me the strength to sleep with peace in mind. I slept for 2 day and 2 nights straight. Now I'm fit to see the friendly skies ounce again.

Hakeru: I'm so glad.

Bijou: Could you help us? We need to meet my friends at the conference, and then we're going to the carnival.

Asura: The Ham-Ham Arcade? Oh, I haven't been there since I was a boy. It was the only vacation I ever went on; my father who was also a pilot rented a plane and flew us in great fashion to the fair.

The rides, the plays, the food it was a magical experience.

Pashmina: After hearing about it like that, I really want to go.

Penelope: Ookwee!!

Bijou: Asura could you take us there?

Asura: Sure, you mind if I come along?

Hakeru: Of course, you're our friend now and besides if it weren't for you we never would have made it here.

Henrietta: Yeah Asura come with us, I have you to thank for bringing Bijou and me together again.

(Asura blushes and sways his body around) Asura: Ladies please, you're embarrassing me! I guess I have to say yes.

Henrietta: Great! First, we have to make a stop at the conference.

Asura: What's going down?

Bijou: Boss has a surprise for us, well me anyway. He asked me to come alone but I don't feel right about leaving you out.

Sandy: Don't worry about us girlfriend, we can just kick it at the juice bar while we wait its obvious why he wants to see you alone.

Bijou: What do you mean?

Hakeru: I think he wants to pop the question!

(Blushes) Bijou: What?!

Pashmina: It sounds that way to me. I know he's been eying you since we got back together.

(Penelope sighs dreamily) Penelope: Ookwee.

Henrietta: You lucky girl I was rather taken by him but he obviously has a feeling for you.

Asura: When we were high above the sky in my plane he told me about you in blush-like detail and I knew he was smitten and pardon me for saying so after looking at you more closely I can see why.

When I saw L�sora the first time, I just had a nudge in my heart. That nudge was telling me to go long and make her mine.

(Thinking) Bijou: I never thought of that what if he asks me to marry him and he gives me a ring and everything? Then I will just have to tell him immediately.

As everyone boards Asura's plane Bijou is confident that this time she will tell Boss how she really feels.

Asura: Ok everyone I hope you have your seatbelts fastened because I am ready to rock!

Asura then pulls a lever, then flips a switch, and turns a key and presses a button. He moves the joystick and plane moved down the coastline.

Soon it started to get a little bumpy and soon the plane took gliding then flying over the river heading for town.

Meanwhile Boss and T.W made there way into town, along the way they talked of planning the perfect performance.

Boss: I can feel it T.W, today I am officially on cloud nine!

T.W: I am happy for you. So what song are you going to sing?

Boss: Sorry I am not about to give that away it is a secret. I will give you a hint "it was one of the most romantic songs ever written."

T.W scratched his head pondering what it was but could not come up with so much as a guess.

T.W: Well I cannot think of anything. What could it be?

Boss: You will find out, singing is probably the one thing that I have not been able to do. However, I have practicing these past few months and I think I am ready.

T.W: Well get out there and break a leg!

Boss: Thanks Kiddo.

Soon the two reach the club were Boss rents out a private stage. With T.W's help, they set up the stage and made the romantic light dinner for two.

T.W: Well we have done all we can do here.

Boss: Yep all that is left now is to wait for Bijou.

An hour had passed and at that time, Asura landed the plane at the gate of the conference.

Everyone stepped out of the plane stretching his or her bodies out and gawking at the large regal building.

Hakeru: I did not know it was this big.

Cappy: This place looks fun!

Sandy: I hope they have a juice bar.

Sondra: They do, along with some of the cutest people in tight rugged fur.

Sandy: Really?

Sondra: Tight enough to bounce a nickel off.

Stan: Do any girls hang out here?

Sondra: There is Heidi Kinsley she's looks to be your type.

Stan gets heart-eyed.

Sondra: Yep she would be just your type if she were not married with three children.

Stan's heart eyes break unevenly in half and crumble. They are soon replaced with his normal eyes, which are very zonked out.

Sondra then walks up to Stan and puts her arms around his shoulders.

Sondra: Then there's-

She then kissed him right on the lips and whispered in his ear very seductively-

(Whispers) Sondra: Me.

She then released her hold on him and walked slinky away. Stan watched in awe of those slinky movements and said-

Stan: What a woman.

Sandy: Finally someone who is too much woman for my bro to handle.

All the girls were looking right at Stan, giggling, and exchanging their girl talk, but surprisingly Stan did not care. He was a little embarrassed until he noticed that Sondra put a heart sticker on one of his maracas.

Stan: I think I have my work cut out for me.

Pashmina: Let's go inside

Asura was getting cold feet.

(Nervously) Asura: I will stay by the plane.

Pashmina: Do not be shy Asura you are with us.

Penelope: Ookwee!

Asura got out of his plane, fixed his helmet, and straightened his scarf and followed the girls inside.

Sandy: You coming bro?

At first, Stan was not sure if he would be able to see Sondra face to face again.

This was the first time a girl made the first move on him. She was playful and attentive, yet kind respectable. He looked closely at the sticker she left and noticed it had a personalized message that read-

"Buy you a drink handsome"

He then holds his maracas in the air and shouts at the highest octave-

Stan: Thank you for being a kind and generous god!

Sandy kinda figured her brother needed some time to himself.

Sandy: Okay Stan, see you inside.

Sandy went to catch up with the others, leaving Stan walking slowly inside clutching the sticker-engraved maraca on his way through the door.

Henrietta and Bijou went ahead inside walking down the hall talking about what Boss's surprise could be.

Henrietta: I remember this person surprised me with growing by hand my favorite flower in a beautiful bouquet.

Bijou: Really?

Henrietta: Yeah totally.

Bijou: I remember Boss made me some great frozen yogurt. Though it was T.W's recipe, well it is an inside joke but do not tell Boss I mentioned that he is sensitive about it.

Henrietta: Sure girlfriend we are tight after all. As long as we are talking about sweet things a guy did for me, ounce this guy actually put my name in lights.

Bijou: Really?

Henrietta: Well I didn't become famous or anything, the guy was a lighting ham from the local movie house. However, it was still sweet.

Soon the two made it to the door.

Henrietta: Well girl, this is where you go solo.

Bijou: I guess so.

Henrietta: I know where you stand on this Bijou. You tell him what you have to but don't loose him as a friend.

It's like I told you before guys like him only come ounce in a blue harvest moon.

Bijou looked at the hamster before her seeing her as like no time had passed since they last met, when they were very young.

Bijou: You know, seeing you and the old gang again has really made me feel so great, but this problem even you guys can't help me with. This is a problem rooted in the new life I made for myself.

Boss had the courage to tell me the three hardest words I've ever heard him say, and now I must have that same courage to break his heart into lifeless shards, OH I CAN'T DO IT!

Henrietta: Bijou-

Bijou: I CAN'T HENRIETTA, I CAN'T!! (Sobs)

She slams her back hard into the door and slides to the ground beginning to cry.

(Crying her eyes out) Bijou: I can't do it Hen, I can't love him and I can't stay his friend, and I'll never be able to tell Hamtaro how I feel. Boss will find out and who knows how it equasionalizes but I can't do it.

A silence fell upon these two almost at a lost of words.

Bijou: Maybe I'll just stay here.

Henrietta sat down beside her holding her head amongst her chest; she then took the bow from her hat and used it to dry her tears.

Henrietta: Well Bijou, you know I'd love to have you back with us, but what about Maria? I think you should stay with her.

Bijou: I don't want to worry Maria, but going home will bring the pain I feel here.

Henrietta: I know but-

Bijou: no buts Hen, there are just times I�ve known Boss, he�s really a vulnerable little child sometimes, and I would bring him more pain if I told him.

Henrietta: But what about Hamtaro? You I've been scoping him out, from a friends perspective ya know I wouldn't steal him away from Bij. Guys like him also only come only ounce in a blue harvest moon.

Bijou: Oh Hen I just don't know what to do.

Bijou then got up and tuned the knob on the door. She turns to Henrietta one last time and said-

Bijou: Wish me luck.

She doesn't look back after that and enters the room closing the door behind her. Henrietta goes to join the others at the bar saying to herself-

Henrietta: Just follow your heart Bij; I know it'll all work out.

Bijou walked around in a dark, stark room unable to see a thing.

Bijou: Hello? Is anyone here? Hello? Boss? T.W?

Soon the lights mysteriously popped on to see a beautifully decorated table with a lovely dinner on top of it.

Bijou: Wow!

Then a spotlight shot on the stage to reveal you-know-who with a free microphone.

Bijou: Boss?

Then T.W went and escorted her to her table.

(Holds out her chair) T.W: Your table mademoiselle?

Bijou: T.W?

T.W sat Bijou in her chair and pours her some real champagne in a chilled regal glass and mirror-checks her. She's 100% good to go. He then runs to backstage as Boss gears up for his performance.

(On mike) Boss: Bijou I've been waiting you don't know how long to really say how I feel in real romantic terms. So now-

A quick silence

Bijou had memories of Boss serenading her were less then perfect but could things be different this time?

Hit it T!

T.W: Roger that!

T.W then presses a button, the lights dimmed, and the spotlight on Boss lighted up brighter. The theme from Watasitati Ni naritakute plays and Boss begins.

(At the mike singing) Boss:-

Bijou was stunned. She never heard Boss sing like this before. Every line was beautifully sung and most of all-

It was sung from the heart. She just put her hands together and a clapping frenzy was in effect.

Bijou: Bravo! Bravo! Encore!

Boss was surprisingly calm. He blushed a little but he was cool.

The other hams had heard the music and had to check it out, they peeked through the door and saw and heard Boss through the whole song. They clapped too but quietly so no one would know they were there.

Boss: Thank you, thank you. Now I have one last song and ounce again it's for you. Cue the score T.

(Backstage) T.W: Got it!

T.W then next press another button on the console the lights got dim again. Now the theme from Double Moonlight Romance was playing.

Bijou: It's my favorite song. How did you know?

Boss veers from Bijou's view for a moment and says-

Boss: Let's just say a little birdie told me. (Winks)

He knew Henrietta was there but he didn't know the others were there too.

Boss:-

? At last I've met you, maiden?

The maiden who has the beautiful dream

Protected by the light of the moon

The princess soldier...

I was searching for you

I had believed that I would meet you

but until we met my slight anxiety

wreathed my wings like mist

Then knowing the words Bijou sang along.

Bijou:-

"Maiden?" Do you mean me?

Is it true? I'm too happy yet afraid

eyes, but this feels so familiar, why?

Then they sung together.

Both:-

The instrumental took over for a bit then Bijou sung the next verse.

Bijou:-

Boss:-

Then the music dips a little then the song ends.

Everyone was in shock. But they were impressed and had to applaud. Bijou did too and Boss couldn't be more happier.

Bijou: Thank you Boss. That was great but you really didn't have to.

Boss: Of course I did, I've been wanting to get over my fear of singing like T.W did, and this was as good a time as any. I just wish the others could've heard.

Just then after T.W switched the lights back on and came from behind stage, the others came from behind the door and said-

All: We did!

Everyone looked at the hams all smiles and said-

All: And you were great! (Clapping)

Bijou, Boss, and T.W didn't know what to say as the hams were all cheering and smiling.

Boss: So it seems I had a larger audience then I thought.

Henrietta: We're sorry but we couldn't help it.

Henrietta explains as she left to join everyone else she heard music play and then Boss's voice so she ran to get the others because they had to hear this.

(Chuckles) Boss: You guys. I was that good?

Henrietta: Good? Don't quibble boy, you were great!

Asura: Here, here what a splendid performance.

Howdy: Terrific show there. I didn't think you had it in you.

Boss: Thanks everyone.

After another standing ovation, the others soon leave the two in peace and they had a nice light meal alone before joining the others outside to now journey there way to the Ham-Ham Arcade.

Soon everyone was in Asura's H-7 Rouroni and
Ready for take off. Asura switched everything on and after turning the key and wielding the joystick the plane charged down a quiet street and lightly lifted in the air.

(On AC inside plane)
Asura: This is your pilot the soon to be legendary Asura giving the best flight experience possible. Please keep your seatbelts fastened and listen for important instructions, such as we've charted a last minute flight to France's biggest outdoor event yet; The Ham Ham Arcade!

Everyone cheers as the plane leaves the town-like city behind for a snow top town.

After an hour had gone by the proud H-seven Rouroni flew overhead were the carnival was held. As the plane dipped lower, the hams could see the Ferris wheel so clearly. They also saw the carrousel top spinning around, as well as a tower so high they nearly hit the point but Asura made a sharp yet smooth u-turn and all was fine.

Sandy: What's that tower we almost hit?

Asura: It's the 100 thrills tower slide, one of the biggest slides in the world. It has three different points you can slide down. The first is a little a ways down at that point you in the Simple slide level.

Next, you go a little right to the middle, which is the Radical slide level; personally, I can only get that far by myself. The higher you go the faster you go, it can be as scary, or extreme, or as thrilling as you'd like.

Oxnard: I think I'd want to be safe.

Asura: Relax Oxnard it's really more fun then scary, thought the last height on the slide you reach takes some courage.

Asura the points down as they get closer to the slide to see the highest point which they nearly hit before.

Asura: That pointy thing we almost hit marks the top of the slide known as the super extreme slide. I could never muster the courage to go up there alone so I was thinking would one of you come with me?

Hamtaro: Sure, I will.

Hakeru: Me too!

Bijou: Why don't we all go together?

Everyone quickly agreed that it would be less scary and more fun if they all went together, and after hesitating for a moment Oxnard decided he'd give it a try.

After taking one last look at the slide, Asura glides the plane down to the parking lot. Amazingly, there was an airstrip to land on.

Hamtaro: There's an airstrip but I thought we were going to a fair not an airport.

Asura: We are, this used to be an airport but they moved it a few miles away, they kept the airstrip for pilots like me who are on holiday able to land away from busy streets.

T.W: That's handy.

Oxnard: So you're on holiday?

Asura: That's right I had some vacation time coming and after you graciously invited me to join you here I decided that I would spend part of my time off with my new friends.

Hamtaro: It's amazing that know matter were we go we can always make new friends.

T.W: I know it still seems like yesterday when I think of the day we met.

Hamtaro: I know it was the greatest accident in my life!

The two laughed to flashback to the first time they met each other under a hands-on situation.

Hamtaro: Bada Bada Bada... (Suddenly notices someone ahead of him)


Hamtaro: Look Out!

T.W: Huh? Aiee! (Crashed)

(T.W wobbly gets up)
T.W: Oh, what hit me?

(Hamtaro comes to and gets up)
Hamtaro: Sorry, about that I didn't see you are you ok?

T.W: I'm all right but you should watch were your going.

Hamtaro: You're right sorry.

T.W: Really, its ok I wasn't paying attention either so it's both our faults.


Hamtaro: I've never seen you around here before where ya from?

T.W: I came on a boat from America

Hamtaro (Thinking): America what's that.

T.W: I'm sort of an adventurer I've been traveling for a long time seeing the world and making new friends and since where friends now I'm sure we'll many fun adventures.

Hamtaro: You bet lots of intrusting things happen around here.

T.W: Anyway, I was wondering where you were going so fast.


Hamtaro: Oh, I'm meeting my friends we have a clubhouse underground where hamsters from all over town come to hang out It's really a lot of fun

T.W: That does sound fun you I could come?

Hamtaro: Why not the more the merrier but I haven't even told my name yet how silly I'm Hamtaro.

T.W: I'm T.W it's too nice to have met you Hamtaro when you're not in a hurry.

Both start Laughing as we end the flash back there to see T.W and Hamtaro smiling feeling glad they met even though it was under an accident.

Hakeru: Soon after that, I met you people well T.W first met me and it wasn't a flattering moment.

Everyone recalls the day the first met Hakeru but at the time, she answered to no name.

We flashback to when T.W firsts sets eyes on Hakeru injured in a clearing.


T.W: What's that up there?

As T.W crept forward, he noticed that the brownish hill was in fact a hamster that was in peaked condition.

T.W: Oh that poor hamster. Hey, wake up!

He shrugged her but she would not awaken. Worried yet calm enough to know what to do he picked her and carried her on her back to his house. On the way, he told the hams what happened. By this time, everyone was found and was waiting for him.

Hamtaro: Here he comes!

Bijou: What's that he's carrying?

T.W set himself down still carrying the hamster on his back to catch his breath.

T.W: Someone get my backpack.

Everyone then noticed the hamster on his back.

Bijou: Oh my happened to her?

T.W: I don't rightly know but when looking for the rest of you when I found her in this clearing passed out. I need to get her to my house right now.

Boss: Were here to help too right hams?

Everyone: Right!

T.W: We have to hurry come on!

Everyone heads to T.W house where T.W sets the mysterious hamster in a sleeping bag from his backpack and heads for the kitchen to get some soup and a first-aid kit from the emergency cupboard.

T.W: Someone get some soapy water.

Oxnard: I'll get it.

T.W: Her right arm is lightly sprained I need someone to hold it up.

Boss: I'll hold it.

Oxnard: I got the water.

T.W: Okay we have to clean her wounds before we apply the bandages.

Therefore, T.W got a pair of tweezers, cotton balls, and soup bowl from his backpack. He used tweezers and dipped a cotton ball in the sweet smelling soapy water and washed off the small traces of blood on her scrapes.

Then Boss held her arm in place as T.W applied bandages and sling to her arm.


Then he ladled the soup in a bowl he got from his backpack.

T.W: My special get-well soup should get her strength back.

He fed to her sip by sip until she started to come around.

Bijou: I think she's waking up.

T.W: Let's step back a bit we don't want to overwhelm her.

Everyone took a few steps back as the mysterious ham-girl awoken.

Girl-ham: Oh, what happened? Where am I?

T.W: You're in my home. I found you hurt and my friends and I took care of you.

Girl-ham: Now I remember I was in a truck heading-

Everyone was waiting for her to go on but she paused for a moment.

Hamtaro: Go on.

Before anyone could say anything, she got up and headed for the door.

T.W: Hey, you have to take it easy. Do you want to make that arm worse?

Girl-ham: Thank you all for saving me but I have to go now. Maybe we'll meet again someday and I'll tell you my story.

Everyone watched in concern as she left out the front door T.W more than anyone did as he heads out the door after her leaving the hams-hams confused.

Hamtaro: I wonder why she ran off like that.

The flashback ends there to see Hakeru a little embarrassed.

Hakeru: I feel so small.

Howdy: That's because we are small.

(Gives him a hard pressed look)
T.W: She means she feels embarrassed thinking about it joker. There was nothing to be ashamed of Hakeru, we've all been in tough situations before, and it all worked out in the end.

T.W smiled looking up thinking of a few days later after settling into her new home T.W took Hakeru somewhere special.

We again flashback to see Hakeru on her way to a surprise.

Hakeru: Are we there yet?

T.W: Not yet.

T.W led the blindfolded Hakeru through the tunnels until they reached a door.

T.W: We're here now but don't take off the blindfold until I tell you.

Hakeru: Okay

T.W opened the door leading Hakeru into a dark room.

T.W: Ok you can take the blindfold off now.

Hakeru removed the blindfold, the room lighted up party favors blaring and all the ham hams leap out and shout-

Everyone: Surprise!

T.W: Surprise Hakeru.

Hakeru: What's all this about?

Hamtaro: We all wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood.

Bijou: With a big party.

Sandy: That has games and prizes.

Stan: Music and dancing,

Oxnard: and lots and lots of food!

Boss: We're proud to welcome you to our clubhouse as an honorary ham-ham.

Hamtaro: Welcome to the club Hakeru.

Hakeru was overjoyed and proud that she has a wonderful new life of friends and family that she knew she'd treasure forever.

Hakeru: Thanks everyone for everything you've done.

Hakeru then walks up to T.W blushing the whole way.

Hakeru: Especially you T.W. you've made me happier then I ever remembered.

She then kissed T.W on the cheek he blushed with pride and honor.

We end the flashback to see T.W and Hakeru blushing of embarrassment. Everyone giggled a little at the two but it was all in fun.

(Laughing)
Sondra: So that's you guys met? Interesting, especially the ending.

Henrietta: So have you two been friends long?

T.W: Not long.

Hakeru: A couple of months maybe, though it feels like much longer.

Sondra: It seems by hearing these stories we become closer together. I'm really gonna miss you all when you leave tonight.

Rami: I will too.

Annette: It was nice to meet all of you, I'm gonna hate to see you go Boss. You were the best employee I ever had next to Gari.

Boss: Thanks Annette.

Gari: Yeah you brought life in our somewhat predictable routine.

Boss: I'm certainly going to miss you. You were the first friend I made over here. Maybe you and your mom could visit sometime.

Gari: Really?

Boss: Really.

Annette: We would love to go back with all of you and visit but we really have to get back to the inn tomorrow. Maybe we can write?

Boss: Sure, I'd love to get mail, and I'll sure to reply when I can. You never know when another adventure comes your way.

Gari then looks over to T.W feeling in Boss's eyes he was the better ham.

(Thinking)
Gari: I know deep inside Boss was meant for you. I thought for a while I'd have a father again, after dad died I became dazed around guys, I couldn't relate to them anymore. Maybe someone is the one for me. I'll just keep the faith.

Soon the plane landed on the airstrip in a smooth 3-point landing.

The hams get out seeing the front gate into the Ham-Ham Arcade.

Asura: Well we're here.

T.W: So let's go!

Soon our friends cross the open gate to enter the biggest carnival they've ever seen. Hamsters from all over the world are here, laughing, playing, and simply just having fun.

T.W: So what should we do first?

Hakeru: Why don't we try some of the games?

Sondra: I was hoping we could go on a ride first.

Rami: Why don't we split up for awhile?

Everyone thought that would be a good idea.

Hamtaro: So we all agree to meet at the batting cages in 30 minutes?

Bijou: How will we know when 30 minutes have passed? None of us brought a watch.

Voice: It's a good thing I followed you kids here.

Every turned to see Maruko standing in front of them.

Rami: Mom?

Maruko came up to the hams and she swung her backpack to the ground and rummaged through it to find some watches.

Maruko: You and Sondra always forget something and with all of you coming to a big place such as this, and with your friends due home tomorrow you'd need to keep track of time.

She handed everyone a nice watch, which they fastened and synchronized, and we're ready to see what this bad boy of a park had to offer.

Rami: Thanks mom.

Maruko: Think nothing of it.

Sondra: How did you get here anyway?

Maruko: One of the fisherman by the dock let me borrow there fishing boat for the day besides I couldn't let you, guys have all the fun.

Rami: Well who's gonna go where?

T.W: Hakeru and I are going to check out some of the games they got here.

Hakeru: Then I'm going try out for the armature martial arts competition. Though I'm no armature maybe, I'll find an opponent strong enough to give me a challenge.

Sandy: I know what I'm going to do. I've been thinking about that gymnastics meet ever since we left. The winner gets a cool looking medal and ribbon signed by the all girl ham's gymnastics team.

Maxwell: Do you mind if I accompany you?

Sandy: I sure don't, it'll be great having you there.

Jo: I'll come too! I can take some great pictures.

Pashmina: Penelope and I are going on the story spyglass ride. Today it's the story of Sleeping Beauty.

Penelope: Ookwee! Ookwee!

Pashmina: Yes, it's one of my favorite stories too.

Howdy and Dexter: Can we come to Pashmina?

Pashmina: Sure, if you promise not to argue as much as usual.

Bijou: What are you going to do Hamtaro?

Hamtaro: Rami, Cappy and me are going on the hay train ride.

Rami: A roller coaster looks like an authentic wagon train from the old west.

Cappy: And there are free hat patches for the first 50 hams in line!

Oxnard: I'll come seeing I can't think of anything else.

Asura: I think I'll go with T.W and Hakeru to the tournament.

T.W: Great now Hakeru has two hams who'll cheer for her to make it to the top!

(Blushing)
Hakeru: Oh stop!

Rami: So mom what you and the others going to do?

Maruko: We'll just search for something won't we girls?

Liz and Henrietta: Yeah!

Hamtaro: So what are you two going to do?

Bijou and Boss looked at each other not sure what they wanted to do.

Both: We haven't decided yet.

T.W: Try looking in here, I got from the info stand. It shows all the games, rides, and attractions here.

The two looked through to find there was a lot going on.

Boss: Oh here's something, "Come try our newest attraction; The Niagara Falls Adventure." Feel the power, grace, and romantic passion of the closest substitute to feeling you at the rapid filled Niagara Falls of Canada.

Bijou: That sounds fun.

T.W: So let's stop sitting around! Let the fun begin!

So everyone went there separate ways but they would soon meet again so they could go on the large slide together.
