| Who is HalsGal? | |||||||||||||||||
| Hello! I hope you've enjoyed your stay. I also answer to the name Natasha. I'm a college freshman at the University of Nebraska. To the left, you can see me in garb for the Society for Creative Anachronism (naturally, right?); above is a picture of me in front of Burg Traunitz, Landshut, Germany. Henry V? Well, in high school senior English I read "Henry IV, part one." I thought Hal was an interesting Shakespearian character. "An amiable monster" he was called by one critic. We then watched "Henry V"--the Branagh version. (Two months from graduation, I had seen three Branagh flicks in school, and I'm in love!) Once again, engaging, complex hero. My final semester of high school, I studied the history of the English language. I discovered that Henry V did a lot to save the language. My admiration grew. And one night, while procrastinating during my "Othello" essay, I created this page. As my senior year drew to a close, I wrote Kenneth Branagh a fan letter, expressing my appreciation about "Henry V." He wrote back--and even wished me a happy graduation! |

| At the moment, I am obsessed with the Wars of the Roses. I have read the Henry VI plays and Richard III -- if ther's anything with which I can help you, please ask! | |||||||||||||||||
