| The Seldon was created specially for Kasr�s think-tank when he first formed it before the battle of Yavin. The Seldon�s distinctly un-Imperial design is attributed to the fact that a good portion of it was laid out by the think-tank instead of typical Imperial technicians. It has very basic anti-starfighter weaponry and a powerful shield to deflect concentrated attacks. It is also equipped with a military-class hyperdrive and powerful sublight engines for quick escapes. The main purpose of the Seldon is to provide a mobile platform for the think-tank to operate in with relative safety. The first priority of the Seldon in any engagement is to escape into hyperspace at the beginning of any battle. Failing that objective, the Seldon must destroy itself before it falls into enemy hands. The Seldon is equipped with four skipray blastboats to protect itself against starfighters and capital ships. In the event that the Seldon is boarded, two squadrons of highly-trained stormtroopers are stationed aboard to either eliminate the threat or give the crew time to arm the self-destruct and escape, depending on the severity of the situation. |
