| TIE Scimitar Taskforce - Black Water |
| The Black Water Taskforce is a group of four squadrons of TIE Scimitar, or 48 fighters, that have no squad leader. Their orders are given to them exclusively by Sashu Jurarth. This honor was given to her because it was due to her that the taskforce came into being. As formidable as the Tsunami is, Sashu saw the need to give it more of an edge in combat as the Star Destroyer frequently found itself on its own before joining up with Oremin. Having such an enormous bomber compliment made it an enormous threat to taskforces that were comprised mostly of capital ships. On the other hand, it did make it weaker against fighter-heavy forces, something which Sashu is acutely aware. The mentality of the Black Water in combat is similar to how the Tsunami operates. The Black Water, in the most poetic terms, fires their payload in waves like water crashing against a shore. They specialize in taking down large targets like capital ships and space stations as well as ground installations. Every pilot in Black Water has been meticulously trained by Sashu to work as one whole. Their level of coordination makes for a devastating first assault, which becomes even more deadly as they repeat the attack with the same precision again and again until their target is destroyed. Although initially comprised of TIE Bombers, Black Water quickly changed fighters once exposed to Oremin�s resources. The Scimitar was picked as the taskforce�s fighter of choice because it offered superior capabilities to that of the TIE bomber, including faster engines, more maneuverability, and shields. Plus the addition of a dedicated bomber in addition to the pilot gives them an edge when it comes to more tricky maneuvers such as shooting down enemy warheads. |
