Black Hole Project |
| The Black Hole Project is similar to the Ysalamiri Project in that both are an attempt to find a way to neutralize the Force. Black Hole is actually more of a misnomer than an accurate description of what the project is about because the idea is not to simply create a black hole. The project is based upon documented evidence that has been largely destroyed since the Empire�s rise to power that gives evidence of Jedi losing their connection to the Force when they are near black holes and other unusual spatial phenomena. The whole idea is to discover what causes this specifically and to try and reproduce it safely. Obviously, when dealing with such powerful forces as quantum singularities and the like the safety of Oremin�s main facilities must always be considered first, which is why any physical research and experiments in this area are slated to take place in deep space. However, the project has yet to reach that stage. One of the main hurdles that the think-tank must overcome is finding a Force-sensitive subject for use in gauging the range and effects that black holes and other phenomena have on the Force. Given the nature of what Kasr is trying to accomplish, getting a volunteer would be next to impossible and insuring that the subject is telling the truth would be another concern. The current resources of Oremin simply cannot cover such esoteric research, but it still remains a viable alternative to the Ysalamiri Project. |
