In meeting each other, John and Kandice learned of their differences . . .

He's from the
West . . . She's from the Republic of Texas.

He's from the
City . . . She's from the Country.

He's interested in
the Arts . . . She's interested in organic chemistry.

He thinks
metaphorically . . . She thinks concretely.

For John, life is a
puzzle . . . For Kandice, life is a yellow smiley face.

But they found that all the differences, once combined, eventuated in one overwhelming commonality . . .

Together, there is magic.

Ying and yang . . . or . . . Electron and proton . . . Different, but the same.

As previously mentioned, John thinks in terms of metaphor.  No wonder, then, that he finds it a critical detail that, when they met on those stairs, John was
descending.  Kandice ascended.  Sometimes the best stories have their beginning somewhere in the middle, which is where they met.

"When I had no wings to fly . . . You flew to me . . . You flew to me."

John and Kandice were married April 26th of 2003 in Lewisville, Texas.
