| The Outdoor Pergola was a pretty fun yard project, and it was less expensive than you might think. Pergolas can be a great addition to anyone's yard where a little shade is desired. Use them to hold up climbing plants, create an outdoor dining area, make a nice swinging chair, or use it over the hot tub. |

This pergola took two days to complete with two people assembling. The pergola was made with pressure-treated lumber and galvanized hardware. Cedar could also be used, but it would increase the cost of the lumber by about two times. |
| These structures can be customized in many different ways. This homeowner wanted to create shade over the hot tub in the morning and around a flower bed of hastas in the afternoon. | |
