I remember it like it was yesterday. Actually, the date was October 31st 1994. I had just gotten home from trick-or-treating with my friends. I was simply sitting on the couch, watching scary movies. Well, the film I was watching at the time wasnt scary, but a commercial came on right in the middle of the show. It showed clips of some Halloween movie that was going to be on at 9 pm. I figured since it was Halloween, I'd stay up to watch it. I also figured that the movie would be lame and boring, since it was made in 1978. Ten minutes into that movie however, I was hooked. My eyes were glued to the screen. Not only was I hooked, I was terrified. Halloween seemed to me not a lame and predictable horror movie, but a movie in which the story could actually happen. The sheer thought of that was enough to send shivers down my spine, but it also intrigued me more. I decided to stay up to watch Halloween 2 immediatly thereafter. I consider myself to be very lucky because this was not a school night. After Halloween 2 ended, I shut off the television and tried to get some rest. It did not happen. I could not shake the sounds or the images that were racing through my head. Now when I think about that night, the night I found Halloween, I now realize that I didnt find Halloween, Halloween found me.
Someone later asked me what it is about Halloween that I love so much. I simply say it is the atmosphere it creates. For me, Halloween gave me a feeling that there is a terrible, uncontrollable, unstoppable monster out there stalking you. He's stalking you for no apparent reason. He seems to have no motive. He stalks you in your own home town and in your own neighborhoods. And there is not a damn thing anyone can do about it. Halloween is the same movie that inspired me to force my parents to buy me a video camera so I could make my own Halloween movies. Halloween is the reason that Donald Pleasence became my favourite actor.

I would also like to thank Mr. Dick Warlock, who I have contacted several times. Not until I went to his site did I think of the idea to make this one. His caring and relationship with his fans to me is a true rarity in Hollywood.
