Missions
HOME
The first 3 months were spent in Budapest Hungary in our lecture phase.  We learned on topics such as the Father Heart of God (my favorite), Spiritual Warfare, Hearing the Voice of God, and Inductive Bible Study.  During this time I learned a lot about God, and a lot about myself.  I learned more of Who God is, Who I am in Christ, and I grew in so many ways.  This time was also a time of healing for me.  I experienced God's faithfulness and grace, and He began answering my prayers for boldness.  I was involved in street outreach every week and just fell in love with sharing the love of Jesus with the people we encountered.

During DTS we were in Hungary, Serbia, India, and Turkey.  It was amazing to experience the different countries, cultures, religions, and people and to be a light for Jesus to them all

I found absolute joy in street outreach every week.  We did choreography (bottom:  Open the Eyes of My Heart, left: Prizonier - Romanian Drama), worship, preaching, and testimonies, and then would evangelize in between programs.
In June 2004 I went on my first missions trip to Budapest, Hungary with my 20s/30s group, from Mount Paran North Church of God, The Journey.  While we were in Budapest God began changing my heart and I fell in love with street ministry.  Half way through the trip God put it on my heart to come back to Budapest in September and do Discipleship Training School (DTS).  I was able to see God's faithfulness and love as I experienced Him provide my every need.  Within 2 months, with the grace of God,  I was able to move out of my apartment, quit my job, raise the money for DTS, and most amazingly sell my car and become completely debt free from over $5,000 credit card debt.  God blew me away with His faithfulness and began a life - changing work in me.

Outreach to India
The last 2 - 3 months of the DTS are the outreach phase of the school.  God called me to India for outreach.  My team was made up of 7 DTSers.  We were in Delhi, India from Dec. 16 - Jan. 5.  We worked with the YWAM Delhi base and ministries that we were involved in Delhi were churches, praying at temples, Mother Teresa Home for Children,  Mother Teresa Home for Dying Destitutes, and house visits in slum areas.

Right:  "The Johnson Family" as we lovingly call them.  This is the mother and baby boy of a homeless family that lives on the street outside of the YWAM Delhi base.  The husband works, but they do not make enough money for a home.  They sleep every night under the steps of the base.
