Like the other Rangers, Trip is from the year 3000, but what makes Trip special is the he is actually an alien from the planet Xybria. Trip has a triangular gem in his forehead, which give him psychic powers such as telepathy, empathy, precognition and superhuman insight. He doesn't have full control of these abilities and he's not always able to summon them when necessary. Trip, being from a planet where it is impossible to have any secrets, is very trusting. This along with his childlike innocence, his sense of wonder and his psychic abilities sometimes get him into trouble, such as allowing Nadira to dupe him into helping her kidnap Circuit. Trip looks up tot he other Rangers and is constantly trying to be more like them, which in itself can get him into trouble but Trip has his own specialties which make him a valuble member of the Time Force. Trip is a technical genius, he created the Electro Booster and maintains the Rangers weapons and vehicles. He's also there whenever the Rangers, especially Katie need him and is a very good friend to them all. Trip also played a part in Nadira's change of heart. During a fight between Trip and Nadira at a boutique, a woman went into labor and Trip forced Nadira to help her give birth. he beauty and innocence of the newborn baby made Nadira reconsider hating humans.
Trip may be int eh background of the Rangers but at times he has displayed the strongest courage in the group, even by facing up to bully Eric, for what he believed was right and he wasn't ashamed of who or what he was. Trip unlike, Eric, is a excellent portrayal of what a Ranger should be, he is kind and gentle and he put his heart and soul into protecting the world, in whatever time period.
(Okay, okay maybe a tinsy bit over the top, but allow me, after all he is my fave Time Force Ranger)
