Johnny Yong Bosch - Profile
Name: Johnny Yong Bosch
Birth Name: John Jay Bosch (Saban decided that Jay didn't sound oriental enough so they changed it to Johnny's mom's name: Yong.)
Date of Birth: 6th January 1976
Place of Birth: Kansas City, MO
Raised in: Garland, Texas
Current Residence: Los Angeles, California
High School: Garland High
Height: 5'8
Siblings: Older sister Cindy, younger brother Michael and younger sister Diana. All live in Texas except for Mike who lives in Georgia.
Pets: Two dogs: A German Shepard named Kato (After Bruce Lee's character in the Green Hornet) and a Siberian Husky named Max. One cat: Jackie (After Jackie Chan, before it was discovered that the cat was a girl, not a boy) His other cat Whispers ran away.
Hobbies: Working out, inventing new kicks, writing, playing soccer and reading the Bible
(I'm assuming that he's become very religious)
Martial Arts: Shaolin Kung Fu. He largely taught himself from Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies.
(Now at the end of each episode of PR on Fox Kids they tell us not to copy them. I can understand why they have to do this, but Johnny proves that by copying things like that you can learn, which is exactly what I did, although I did pull a muscle in my leg the other day, but that's my chioce. I just don't eant kids to go jumping off of buildings or anything like that)
Where Martial Arts got him: Recieved the Purple Sash after only a year and a half of training. (And of course it must have played a part in getting him the role of Adam, after all he'd be usless in the show if he douldn't do any Martial Arts, wouldn't he) He also won a trophy in all seven Martial Arts competitions that he entered before getting the role. COOL!!!
Dark Past:
(I wouldn't call it dark though cos it's just a normal part of growing up) Johnny was bullied (Like me) as a kid and because of it he became a bully (which I definately can't relate to but I've done stories along that line) He changed when he started Kung Fu and his instructor James Clark told him about PR auditions being held in Dallas. (And I'm sure we're all glad he got the part)
Awesum: In MMPR:Movie Johnny had to do his own stunts after his stunt man Dan broke his leg practicing on the trampoline.
(How cool is that man!)
More Awesum: Johnny was supposed to save a mermaid from Divatox's torpedos by bunjee jumping off of a cliff and grabing her, but the scene was cut
(Damn!!!, I would have loved to have seen that, although I do worry that he'll hurt himself with all these dangerous stunts, I still would have liked to see it)
Stunts on his own: Sky diving (I don't think that was on MMPR:Movie, I think that was on Extreme Heist), Bunjee jumping nad scuba diving
(SO, WAY, MEGA COOL!!!, but it's all dangerous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Friends on set: Jason David Frank, Jason Narvy and nakia Burrise
(What a surprise, ha that rhymes. Get it, Burrise, surprise, okay prett cheesy, never mind)
Goals: To keep working on films, give to the poor, the Church and to make people smile
(More religious belief)
Being recognised: He doesn't mind being recognised as long as he doesn't fall down a buch of steps in front of everyone and stuff like that.
(Well I certainly wouldn't be laughing at him, I'd probably be there with a First Aid Kit, expert Martial artist or not, everyone can get hurt. I worry too much don't I huh?)
Religion: Christian
Personal Influence: God
Professional Influence: Jackie Chan
