GBS at the TLA
Philadelphia 2004
Lukey I havent been paying attention to set lists lately and it sort of surprised me here. No complaints though. When Alan turned our Aha me bys, a riddle I day part over to us we sang with such gusto, he leaned over the edge of the stage and mouthed, I love it, I love it! Of course there could have been someone flashing him behind me, but I thought it was for us. Vic said it looked as though the hard-core GBS fans only occupied the first 4-5 rows - that the other people were much less into it this evening. Seans mischievous side emerged here with his playing Alans butt with the tipper. And Alan sang the next to the last verse twice and made some quick comment about second time same as the last! to himself.
Sean wasn't the only one dancing all over this evening. Bob did his share of dancing also. Lukey was fun to watch!

Something Beautiful made me wonder what exactly they had been doing on South Street today when Alan introduced this song with we came to Philly to make love in the moon here on South Street. The whistle part was particularly poignant this evening. I was a happy camper.

This is something beautiful this is San McCann." (Alan)

Sean gets a gleam in his eye and starts singing falsetto I feel pretty, oh so pretty I was laughing so hard I only got half of what was said next but there was a lengthy interaction between San and Alan on the subject of why Alan was pretty Alan, I love your long flowing hair and your luscious lips and something about being bi-curious. They really went on for a while about it. It was priceless.
Alan's Something Beautiful is one of my favorites
Sean certainly was beautiful tonight. Got a haircut!
More beautiful photos and Paddy gets killed once again
