GBS opened with Beat the Drum! They had done Donkey Riding in Philly and not done Beat the Drum at all. Love the part San and Bob were singing that echo part young and daring. Bob really seems to be enjoying singing more this time around. I hope he continues to take pleasure in it and we get more Bob songs.  Thanks to Alan and San for insisting he sounded good enough to sing on the CD for Helmethead.
Kris trying to remember what to do for Beat the Drum
Donkey Riding They sang it anyway! I am always glad to hear it. I never get tired of it. They must be, though. The audience really belted it out. The GBS connection was made and from that point on, the audience and GBS had a vibe going that is hard to describe. You could feel the love in the air on both parts. The NYC audience is a special one and GBS reacted accordingly. They so enjoyed feeling loved and loved us back all night.
This is what they looked like to us - the lighting was awful for both GBS and the Spin Doctors.
Loved this shot of Big Blue Murray
Sean and Kris look a bit psychadelic in this picture
When Im Up - When Alan came to the you can put your trust in me part, he shook his head at the audience and mouthed I wouldnt! Murray got everyone to cheer for Alan. It was cute!
