Barra MacNeils

When they left the stage, Jamie and Kyle picked up their envelopes. We asked the stage crew to be sure that Sheumas and Lucy got theirs. They assured us they would.

We waited around a bit to see if theyd come out. Lo and behold, Stewart and Sheumas walked out the door to talk to someone. When they were finished speaking with that person, Stewart made it his business to come over to us and say Hi to Andi and I. He said they knew wed be there (I had told Kyle in Cape Breton last week) and were looking around for us. He asked Andi if he could give her a hug. She surprised me by consenting. Sheumas came over then and thanked Andi for the baby gift she had me deliver to him two years ago in King of Prussia. He said how much he and Lucy appreciated the gifts we gave them and made sure to mention the brownies from the fall. They were both so very nice! Sheumas complimented me on my Cape Breton tartan scarf that had been given to me by a new friend in Cape Breton last weekend.

That's my Cape Breton tartan scarf peeking out of the coat.
We asked when their website was going to be up and running again and they said that theyd been promised that itd be up by the time the new CD came out. We asked about when theyd be back next and Sheumas said to watch the website and then jokingly quipped, Youll probably know before me!

We bid them goodnight and rode home uneventfully to Philly.

My hearts in the Highlands, wherever I roam, as long as I can carry a little piece of Cape Breton in the form of a CD or two. Thank God for this music and those wonderful musicians. I can have my Highlands in Philly!
