"VH1 Collection"
Over the years I have collected my share of Hall & Oates compilations.  Albums, to be replaced by cassettes, to be replaced by CD's, to be replaced by....Comps that were sanctioned by Daryl and John, and some that weren't.  I have to honestly say, that of all of them, my favorite remains the VH1 Collection. In part, because after such a long dry spell, we got new material from Daryl and John on this compilation. That, coupled with remakes of previously released material, makes this a must have for Hall & Oates fans.  I fell in love with "Heartbreak Time" the moment I heard it..  "Do It For Love",  would be the precursor of more good things to come from Daryl and John.  The remake of "Every Time You Go Away", in my opinion, is the best version that I've ever heard. "Someone Like You" underwent a slight title change, as well as, some retooling, but remains as beautiful as the original version.  As for the rest of the CD, I guess it's what your Hall & Oates musical tastes are. There is no way that anyone, be it record label or Daryl and John themselves, could satisfy the musical tastes of all of their fans, but they come mighty close on this one.
