Heather worked as a business volunteer in the community of Boujad from 2003-2005. Her main project involved motivating and encouraging the community of local women weavers to create new products that appeal to the western market. She helped the women to successfully sell 50 handbags and other products in the New York area. Before working as a Peace Corps volunteer she was a design materials consultant for Material Connexion, NYC. She hopes to continue working in the field of development.
