| Biography Although Halifax has been touring non-stop for almost 2 years, they are just now preparing release their debut full-length album, The Inevitability of a Strange World in March 2006 on Drive-Thru Records. Halifax, a So-Cal 5 piece band. has managed to make quite a tornado of attention for themselves, while only having released an inexpensively recorded, self produced 6 song EP A Writers Reference. Singer Mike Hunau, along with Chris Brandt (guitar and vocals) Tommy Guindon (drums), Adam Charles (guitar), and Doug Peyton (bassist) have found the right formula, mixing elements of pop, punk, metal, indie-rock and straight out rock influences to stand out in an overly crowed music scene. Halifax admits that websites like Myspace, Purevolume (over 1 million plays), as well as being strongly embraced by Absolutepunk.net and Alternative Press Magazine (whos readers have constantly voted Halifax as high as #1 in their readers choice Top 10) played a large role in their ability to achieve early on success. Halifax has kicked into high speed as they prepare to conquer The Inevitability of a Strange World we all live in. -Halifax Official Website Bio |
