Ice

It rained and rained

Until I was no more

Drowning the surface

And I hid myself deep inside

My person was wiped clean

A new slate for them to write on

Then you breathed your winter breath

The water hardened into ice

It did not penetrate myself beneath

But nor could I penetrate its unforgiving cold

I gasped and screamed to be let out

But soon my cries grew quiet

Everyday they whisper words dripping with frost

The wall around me continues to grow

The desperate child freezing beneath

Shudders but will never relent

For while I feel repressed and dying

I can be free in this verse of poem
