Sometimes I feel like

My obsession will swallow me whole

But it’s an addiction that dominates me

And dictates my life

I want to break free

But I don’t want to let go

Would you understand

If I let you glimpse inside me

And bared to you my soul

From the person I keep shadowed

I shy away from life

Until all I have left is

The drink that leaves my soul

Dark and hidden

I close out anyone

Who tries to get in
