This is the 3rd Annual Haley's Team Event. The race will be held on June 27th 2009. This race takes place at beautiful Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama. The lights will be on for this event as we will be running under the stars. Come out and have fun while helping a great cause. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Medical Research at the University of Alabama Birmingham in the field of Cystic Fibrosis.
Race Times and Prices
The Twilight 5K will cost $12 until June 25, 2009, and $15 dollars the day of the race. Registration for both races closes at 6:50 PM the 27th. The Haley's Kids 1K will start at 7:30PM with a price of $8, Followed by the 5K will start at 8:00PM .
T-Shirts and Door Prizes
T-shirts will be available for the first 150 registrants. Sizes guaranteed only to pre registered participants. Door Prized will be announced after the Twilight 5K

Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females overall. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females in each of the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70-over
Directions to the event
12th Avenue and Summerall Gate Road From Interstate 20 in Oxford, take Highway 21 North for about 7 miles. At the first traffic signal past Coosa Valley Youth Services on the right, turn right onto Summerall Gate Road and look for ball fields on the left. Bear left just past the ball fields and the fitness center is on the left.
History
The first two years of the event surpassed all expectations and the community of Anniston really pulled together to enhance the event. Our 1st Annual male winner was Mr. Bill Holstine in 17:59:95 he was so far ahead we needed a 2nd pace vehicle. Our 2nd Annual Male and overall winner was Mr. Billy Lane in a race record of 17:35.77. In the Female category Ms. Megan Williams is our two time Champ the first race she was 2d Overall with a time of 20:52:51, she crushed that time in the 2nd Annual run with an 18:37:61, and third overall. Our first year we had 90 finishers and our 2nd annual crushed that number with 145.
