Belch has been teaching at
San Luis Obispo High
School since 1968,
and isn't planning to stop anytime soon.
He has taught numerous subjects, including Exploring Childhood, History, Sex Education, Family Studies, Home Economics, Geograph, World History, but his favorites are Psychology and Sociology, because they discuss interaction among people.

He is also interested in photography, and photographs weddings.
"One of the things I've never been is bored. We should constantly be doing different things to prevent from being stagnant,"Belch said. In his spare time, Belch enjoys swimming, riding his motorcycle, and writing stories for his grandchildren. He also published a book last summer for teaching an art class for elementary school chidren. Belch is inspired by his family. My dad was always a really important part of my life. wife, and my mother, who I keep in contact with every day," Belch said.
Belch is famous for his unique humor, and values humor as an impeccable teaching method. Belch said, "Try to maintain a positive perspective of life. Use humor. Life is too short not to enjoy it." |
