Here's the professional part of my homepage.
I'm a Phd student and I'm doing my thesis at the " Institut de Biologie Structurale, Grenoble - France " in the
" Laboratoire de Biophysique molculaire ".
This laboratory has long been working on Archaea, and I'm especially working with
Dr. Bruno Franzetti on " Proteolysis and stress response in halophilic archaea " .

My research project :
I'm working on halophilic Archaea. Halophilic archaea are found in very salty places like The Great Salt lake and the Dead Sea. They confer this lovely color u see in the picture of a salty lake taken in Australia.
U can see in the tubes the media, and after centrifugation the pellet that contains the halophilic archaea with its red pigment. Very cool ??? don't u think????
With halophilic archaea, U have science in color.
U have also another picture of halophilic archaea in microscopy.

Well what's Archaea ????

Archaea are a major domain of life, they were recognised recently as procaryotes that are distinct from bacteria.
Archaea thrive in extreme environements of temperature, pressure, pH.
