| How to use a Japanese-style bath | ||||
Here is how: 1. Take off your clothes in the changing room. 2. Put your clothes in the locker or basket on the shelf. 3. Enter the bathroom with a small towel and amenities (if needed). 4. Wash your body and hair in front of the faucet. 5. Get in the bathtub. Do not bring anything into the tub, not even a towel. (you can put the small towel on a rock or on top of your head) 6. Dry your body with the small towel before returning to the changing room. 7. Dry your body with the bath towel and dress in the changing room. Helpful comments: 1. Do not use soap in the tub. 2. The water is very hot, but may be slightly different if there is various tubs to try. 3. The tub is used by others, so please do not drain the water when you are finished. Even the private baths. 4. Get in slowly untill you get used to the water and then only spend about 15 minutes before cooling down a bit. You can sit on a rock or on the side of the tub to cool down. 5. Do not drink alcoholic beverages when using the bath. If you feel light headed, get out of the tub and sit down until you feel better. |
