Dear All:

Ms. Sonia Ingram is with Merrill Lynch at NY, I am helping her developing
a "story" about financing infrastructure projects in China around 1994.

But the main reason why I share part of her email with you is to inspire some
challenging ideas. We know that Beijing maintains that "One Nation Two System"
is the best and only recipe for unification with Taiwan. Beijing is practicing
that policy with Hong Kong and Macao, so it is actually a "One Nation, Many
Systems" sort of "pluralization." On the other hand, most PIT reject China's
One Nation (one China) idea, at least for now. Some are more aggressive,
advocate immediate Taiwan independence. Taiwan also claims it is a sovereignty.

Has anyone given more thoughts on the US system? Puerto Rico is part of the US,
probably as a "common wealth," US has a governor there. Within the 50 States,
there are some still join the USA as a "common wealth." Then there is another
sovereignty: the Nation of Indians, I think it is under the Department of
Interior.

So why is it China's One Nation-Two System so unacceptable? Is there any
threshold or benchmark in the Chinese political reform that will "qualify" the
acceptance of the proposed One Nation-Two System? Can the US make a public
pledge or "guarantee" the "sovereignty" of Taiwan under China's One Nation so
that people on both sides can live in peace and prosperous? My hope is merely
that I can travel very easily between the mainland and Taiwan!

Have a nice weekend: with foods, drinking, music, sports, exercises (including S?)

I had arranged a panel discussion among American Indian leaders on the
subject of Indigenous Economic Development sovereignty yesterday and
evening; and my day and evening was devoted to the Harvard Club and with
the three speakers. The event had a very decent turnout and all went well.

When your family are on your trip to Italy, a group of Taiwanese Chinese
American are traveling together in the Eastern Europe and Rusia 5/8 to 5/26..
The following points are what we have in common.
1) We are all Chinese American from Taiwan , we are all neutral to Green and
Blue.
2) You can call us purple people who have no bias to Green or Blue, we select
politic Party by quality instead of color.
3) We are also neutral to Republic or Democratic in the US.

It is lucky Today to travel with a group of rational neutral people especially all come from Taiwan.
Enjoy our life with our friends tpgrther.

So that why we see green and blue, or blue and green, either order.
But I am so cool in my brain, but am feeling sad about these event.

Good thing never goes, but the bad thing goes everywhere in the world.
(more 10 thousand miles)
One point - get a degree in electrophysics means nothing(no role) in the
political circle, That why I think those people in the politcle circle shoud
take a IQ test in physics.
Ha! Ha! Ha!

the truth from myth, stay neural and be peaceful is
the best course.

I'm happy to see that the protest in Taiwan was peaceful
and hopefully all disputes be resolved legally and peacefully.
From reading us news reports, it seemed Chen is more straight
forward about the recount than Lien, Chen should be held innocent
till proved guilty about staging the shooting.
Still I am very proud to see PIT participates and makes a run
for a more democratic place for Taiwan.

One will never be wrong to enjoy families and friends and
simply enjoy life by putting politics aside. Bon Voyage!
